EDIT: Changing it to a 4 * from 1*. They did resolve it pretty quickly (could have been because of the review here as well as sending the email to Dominique though). I was still a little frustrated with the back and forth - especially after waiting for a few months for the amount to become payable.

So obviously like any other cashback site, they have to get the cashback from the retailer and then pay it to you. I get that part of the equation. This is what their timeline is: https://www.topcashback.com/help/what-does-payable-confirmed-or-pending-status-mean
So essentially after it is "Payable", you should be able to claim the payout and get on with your life, correct? NO! They will tell you that you will get the payout in <3 business days but it will never come. Then when you open a support ticket, they will request you to send invoices, explanations of what the transactions are etc etc - essentially hoping that you just give up on your money.
I have roughly $350 pending payout and I am getting the run-around :(
I am a relatively new user to TopCashback but have used several other cashback services over the years. I recommend people to steer clear of TopCashback as they are very unreliable. I got drawn to them as they seem to have been well-reviewed by bloggers and tend to advertise higher cashback amounts. But what's the point of advertising a higher cashback if the transaction has a very high likelihood of getting rejected. The only transactions that "tend" to go through successfully are lower dollar amounts. I haven't had any success with higher value items. Starting to suspect that the reviewers who left positive reviews are getting paid via referral fee thus their incentive to leave a positive review.
When it comes to filing a claim, it is a complete pain. To clarify, easy to file but waiting for a resolution will try your patience. They say on average it takes them 3-months to resolve a claim. Take note that it is an "average" so it can take longer (most likely will). Getting any updates from them is a pain as they tend to use a template response. 100% of the claims I filed with them have been rejected due to the retailer having no record of the transaction. Despite TopCashback's site recognizing the click-thru via my history and me providing evidence of the transaction (order confirmation/receipt). Seems their strategy is to wear you down and hopefully you forget about your claim or give up.
The only thing positive about them is that customer service tends to respond within 24-hours. But the lack of any useful information in their response negates the experience. Eventually, when they reject the claim, the fault lies with the user. They don't appear to have any clout with their retail partners to escalate the issue. They will never do what is right for the customer.
Save yourself the headache. Avoid at all cost.

It's very easy to use. I also like how they always pay out as documented, and in a much more timely manner than some of the other rebate sites.

We usually like Ebates but Top Cash Back has great incentives and we had a bunch of funds in "pending payment" status. They did email us back and explained the issues with the stores.

This company will wait for you to build up a few hundred dollars and then all of a sudden block your account saying illegitimate transactions. I had $2000 worth of cash back waiting to be cashed out. They asked me for my State issued ID and invoices, which I did submit, but still they wont allow me access to my account. STAY AWAY FROM THESE THIEVES, there are better options available please do not waste your money here thinking they would give you hundreds of dollars in cash back. They will definitely get paid for those cashback and guess what? All that cashback earned from my money will go into their bank accounts.

Initially, I tried several other cash-back sites, but they weren't consistent with their cashback offers. Then I happened upon TopCashBack.com This site offers more of my favorite merchants at substantially higher cashback offers. I'm very satisfied with my selection.

Edit: got a reply from quality team of TCB, they calim they have closed my account because it made illegitimate and abusive purchases, without any verification from my end to proof that all was authentic. So beware if you want to make big purchases stay away from topcashback.
Made >~2000 USD eligible payout purchases, after few days of purchase showing in my account, login is not working, created multiple tickets, tried several times to reset password, account is not working. Tried email support as well, everytime i receive same response, that they are sending my request to another member, so i need to wait few days to get a reply.
I hope i get contacted by someone in authority to resolve my issue. Until then this review means no one has contacted.

You won't get the cash back as they promise. They said they didn't get money from the merchants even you follow their rules. Then they tell you the cash back is extra and it is not guaranteed!

Absolute disgrace. I bought a new boiler & only used BOXT & TC because of the money back I would get. After months of enquires & delays, they just deleted my claim with no explanation. The only response I received was a not valid ‘duplicate claim' which was generated each time I chased up the cashback.
I cannot warn people enough to avoid these con artists like the plague. My only other regret is that I cannot score minus points on here. Next stop, social media & Trading Standards.

Answer: I'm a glutton for punishment. So, my view of a success story may differ from your tastes. I bought some liquor at Total Wine & More, going through TopCashBack, in early March. 6 months later, after multiple back and forths, see this absolute disgrace of an answer TCB gave to get out of paying me: Sep 03 2023 Hi there, Unfortunately in this case the retailer has awarded the commission (cashback) for your sale to another affiliate. These other affiliates can include rival cashback portals, comparison sites or even a simple click on a Google ad. This has resulted in the tracking cookie not linking back to TopCashback. We are not denying that you clicked-through to make the purchase from your TopCashback account, but certain aspects can have a negative effect on your transaction tracking and TopCashback not being recognized as the 'last referrer' of the sale. Reasons for a retailer making this decision can include: -If your computer cookies were not cleared before making a transaction -Another website, cashback portal, pop-up advertisement, search engine or comparison site may have linked to your transaction -Coupon codes which are not advertised by TopCashback. -Using ad-blockers on your browser These are only suggestions, however, as the retailer does not advise us which of these is applicable in your particular case.
