I recently used TopCashback's Gift Card service to purchase a gift card off their website. The system is very efficacious. You can use their filters to get the particular category you're interested in - very easy. I got a nice cashback award added to my account.
The gift cards are mostly instant. It only wasn't instant once. So you can use them if you know the cost even in store.
I used to use an airline instant gift card program and that had two advantages. You could store a payment method and if the card wasn't instant the purchase just failed. That made that better for in store purchases.
TCB gift cards have a higher cash back however so if it is a store where you know you will be back anyway it is worth it.
Bear in mind gift card payments forfeit some of your credit card purchase dispute rights but then that's one reasons stores let Wegift, TCB and the consumer do this.

I wish it would pump me to confirm and ask me again if I want to purchase the gift card before I paid since gift card is non- refundable. I was looking for 1800 pet meds gift card and when I started type 1800 pet, 1800 pet supplies came up and the logo was cute and distracted me also. So I just went ahead to purchase the gift card, as soon as I clicked purchase, I realized I bought the wrong store gift card. And I tried to look if there is anything I can buy from 1800 pet supplies, but their price is too expensive so I wasted the $50 gift card I bought. I'm a little disappointed and next time I probably would think about it for sometime before I purchase gift card.

I contacted customer service about missing cash back. The amount was deposited in my account quickly afterwards.
TopCashBack is my go to cash back rewards site for shopping. I have used it for 2 years to get 1-6% on everything from a Marriott Hotel stay (6%) to Appliances purchased from AJ Madison (4%). I use it most for grubhub where I get 2% back on my spend. The site is reliable, I have never had a tracking issue, and I can receive a PayPal payout among other options whenever I choose. Each store will have a period before the payout is made. It could be 2 weeks or 4 months. I am a satisfied user of TopCashBack. I prefer it to Rakuten because TopCashBack allows me to withdraw when I want instead of every quarter.
I once had an issue with a company inadvertently rescinding the cash back offer. I contacted TopCashBack support and they contacted the company to correct the error. I was paid for the offer earlier than scheduled after the resolution. I am proud to be a TopCashBack user. Support actually provides exactly what they say: quality support.
Be careful not to use the gift card option if you reside in Canada since the giftcards are only for US locations/sites.

Some gift cards are available to use in Canada actually! Members will always have to be sure to read the Terms & Conditions for each gift card as they will typically specify. For example, a Banana Republic gift card is available to use in Canada and this is stated in the T&C's.
