The company enjoys a generally positive reputation for its unique subscription boxes filled with a delightful variety of Japanese snacks, praised for their quality and reliable, fast shipping. Many customers appreciate the thematic approach and informative booklets included with each box, enhancing their experience. However, concerns arise regarding customer service, particularly issues related to auto-renewals and a lack of responsive support when problems occur. While many customers express satisfaction with the product, frustrations about billing practices and inadequate assistance suggest a need for improved customer service protocols to enhance overall satisfaction.

Great quality box and very good value. Especially when the £ is strong against the $. Was really pleased with the diverse range of snacks, good balance of sweet and savoury and amazing large big tag items like kit jar share packs - very worth the subscription! Thanks!
Just received my second box and I'm obsessed. Really impressed with the efficiency and variety. Plus so tasty!
Good products every package had new things and it's a good chance to try Japanese goodies, every month good news.
Tutto buonissimoooo =^¬^= in casa l'hanno apprezzata tutti ed è finita subito. Aspettiamo la prossima con ansia
A scam be careful! I subscribed for 6 months only and even if it is written nowhere they automatically reniew the subscription (and charge you without notice)! They refuse to refund me the 138USD which is unacceptable! So now I will receive their boxes for the next 6 months which are absolutely not worth the price.
They could at least ask customers if they want to reniew the subscription instead of scamming like this!
The premium box is definitely worth the price. Each month there is a variety of sweet and savory snacks along with a Japanese drink. The snacks also come with a helpful little booklet that explains each treat. I look forward to my box every month!
Everything was so yummy. I just got the March box and the Matcha KitKats were my favorite snack in the box. I can't wait for April!
Really like the variety of snacks in the Premium box, especially the Matcha Yuzu Kitkat! Perfect for snacking at home or in office! Quality of treats is really good as well!
We love these boxes. Full of wonderful items. We've had 2 so far and the next one due in April. Cant wait
I've been subscribing for about 7 months now and I have not been disappointed. Absolutely recommend the treat boxes which are totally worth it. So yummy!
Was a little wary about purchasing from here after reading plenty of negative reviews and lost box horror stories, by I'm pleased to announce that my experience was pretty much stress free! It arrived in three weeks and only a couple of the small snacks got a bit crushed. I love the range of snacks and the amount that were given. Would definitely purchase another box in the future.
Very cool and different treats to try, the shipping takes awhile but it comes from Japan so no surprise. I would recommend this box to anyone who likes trying new and different snacks/candies and drinks!
I live in Florida and it took about 3 weeks to come in the mail but felt it was worth the money and I very much enjoyed trying all the snacks
Fairly large array of items (at least with the premium box), but mostly just sweets; Lacks the variety of competing services like Bokksu. If you're really into candy that might be fine, though it does get a bit repetitive.
The monthly theme and little bits of Japanese culture are kinda cute.
The biggest con is that it feels a bit like... well, a con.
They really go out of their way to obscure the auto-renewal of the subscription and keep it in fine print, give no option to opt out of it, and provide no reminders until the next payment has been processed. Also, of course, no refunds once the payment has been made, even if the payment is for multiple months and none of them have actually shipped yet.
When opening a ticket with their support system, one of the main answers that automatically pops up is exactly about this, stating only that they don't give refunds. So, you can tell this is an issue that happens to a lot of customers, who end up paying hundreds of dollars unintentionally. Not surprising, since the company clearly made intentional design choices to encourage these kinds of "accidents".
On top of that, they offer rewards for giving them reviews, hoping to drown out the complaints they get for their poor customer service with even_more_ shady manipulation.
In my book, honest business practices are more important than any specific product (especially considering the quality of the product isn't exceptional either, and arguably worse than their competitors), which is the main cause for the low score.
I received my first box recently on a 1 month subscription just to test it out, as I wanted to try out a few Japanese snack boxes. TokyoTreat is definitely my favourite out of them all. It came way earlier than what I expected, and when I opened it, I was really surprised with how much was in there as it was packed so nicely. It's a little pricier, but if you can afford it I definitely recommend. It's so much fun to try all of the snacks and drink especially with friends, and I was surprised by the fact that I've found every snack so far really delicious. I'll be choosing to continue my TokyoTreat subscription. I really recommend it! Thank you!
It's a bit pricey, but the amount and variety you get makes it feel like good value. I especially love the booklet that explains what everything is.
I've had other snack boxes and nothing quite compares to TokyoTreat. Along with good customer support who actually care about customer satisfaction, this is a no-brainer for people interested in Japanese snacks. :)
Pretty awful customer service. Only got 4 of my 6 boxes, they told me to ask the post office of my country and that was it, they closed my ticket saying it was solved.
Would not recommend.
Answer: It is one of the worst ones out there. If anything goes wrong they refuse any sort of customer service. No refunds, no placements even if the box never arrives.
Answer: It usually takes days to get a response & only through email. Quite frustrating.
Answer: I had both TokyoTreat and a similar service at the same time, and I consistently found the value and variety of TokyoTreat to be better than the other subscription.
