The site has a pretty intuitive interface that rather easily allows you to compare ratings and attributes between different tires. You enter in your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and it immediately shows you the tire size(s) your vehicle can use. I recently purchased a new, used vehicle that had horrible tires for winter (snow/ice ratings) driving and after seeing all compatible tires for my vehicle it was a matter of clicking a check box on each tire I was considering to easily compare them side by side to determine the best value. Like I said, I was specifically searching for tires that handled winter conditions really well but you can use the comparison tool for any tire attribute(s). When summer rolls around I plan on purchasing 4 more tires and I will no doubt compare DRY performance alongside ROAD NOISE and COMFORT to really take advantage of my car's power and performance; having a 500 hp sedan doesn't mean anything if the tires don't grip the road.

I am a little dismayed that the option to "Save $40 by picking up tires yourself" didn't even come close to saving you $40; it resulted in a savings of exactly $3 which is nothing considering it would be a 2hr round trip to get them. I don't know why but when you choose the pickup option it essentially TRIPLES the sales tax completely negating the small discount entirely. Because of that I opted to have mine shipped to my local shop. Other than that the interface and process is very nice and easy to use. Just pay attention to the details because that discount came across as a total scam. Perhaps it's a more attractive option if you need tires immediately, I just don't understand why they flat out lie about saving $40.

Easy purchase. Large selection to choose from. Carrier does not deliver all 4 tires the same day. This is the second order with 4 months this has happened. Not sure if I will buy from Tire Rack again.
