I have now ordered from ThredUp twice. I have been, overall, dissatisfied with both of my experiences. This dissatisfaction both times has been due to the sizing of the products that I ordered. I am normally a size M in most stores and will occasionally purchase a size L for a looser fit. Because the site provides minimal sizing information, I have to guess whether or not items will fit me. This would not be a problem if the returns policy was more straight-forward and less expensive, but that is not the case. This time, I bought two skirts - one L and one M - both were wildly smaller than I expected - and a blazer - size M that fit well. I will not be returning the skirts because it will simply be too much of a hassle. I don't want to pay $9 or pay for shipping. I don't want store credit because I am sick of the lack of information that I have to base my orders off of. Most likely, will not be shopping at ThredUp again.

I thought I had found a great site with good stuff. And if all you want to do is buy, then I guess it is. So, I thought I would order a clean-out bag and send in some items I no longer wore. After more than a month of waiting, I finally heard back from them and they told me that they couldn't use most of what I sent them, so they would get rid of it for me. OK, so Allegria shoes might not be in the height of fashion, but I know a lot of nurses and teachers that wear them. Not to mention they still sell for over $100. I sent them 2 pair in very good condition, plus a few tops. My payout was $2.25. And my shoes were gone! I could have, should have sold them on eBay. Not happy.
Then, to make matters worse, as I was waiting for my big payout, I ordered a size 5 black bootie, only to get them and find out they were a size 8.5.
They call themselves Knitwits. Indeed they are.

ThredUp has amazing clothes from great brands, all for incredible prices, and they just throw coupons at you hand over fist. For someone with a Goodwill budget, expensive taste, and limited free time to go to actual Goodwill and sift through heaps, ThredUp is the answer to my shopping prayers. The ability to sort by brand, size and style makes this the fastest and most satisfying thrift shopping I've ever done. The prices and coupons are amazing and shipping has been quick! There aren't enough good things to say about this place. Except I wish they had a men's section because my boyfriend is very jealous of this sweet setup.

ThredUp has been a life saver. Not only do they provide amazing second hand clothes, but most importantly, the measurements provided on the clothing description is so reliable! It's hard to shop online because of the way some brands fit your body. A "small" at one company means "medium" at a different company, and so on. But ThredUp also provides the clothing measurements in inches. This is so valuable because of the variety of brands offered on this website. I've ordered almost a dozen items so far and all of them have fit me perfectly - including brands that I have never tried on before!

Possitive notes: I find quality, just what we need, items in my size (and my children's) in minutes for a great price! Awesome! Just a few drawbacks...
Negative notes: Sometimes the items description is unavailable or incorrect. Which is great when it reads "100% cotton" and shows up "100% genuine leather". ;) Not so great when it reads "Size P" for petite and shows up "Size 12" This makes me question what I see and what I will actually get in person, making it especially difficult to make a decision on a higher priced item. Also, some items have strong thrift store/detergent fragrance on them that takes a lot of washing to get out, but that is generally expected with thrift/consignment items.

I've placed (2) orders with thredUP since September. Out of the six items I purchased, I can only use two. That was a disappointment in itself. I have a real problem with the short time to do a return. I would like to return two of the items That I purchased in September, and one that I purchased in October for a store credit. Due to unforseen circumstances and health issues I haven't been able to venture out.
