I have dealt with a lot of different wedding companies, but this is the worst. I regret ever contacting them -- and you will too.
First, you pay 300-400 a month, they say is a month to month, but is a yearly contract, after you sign up, you get bogus request from people interested in weddings and the people requesting pricing, NEVER reply back to you, ever. Zero commitment, TheKnot is a glorified wedding directory with crappy leads that never end up in contracts.
Hi Alex,
We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your listing! Our Vendor Support Team would be happy to assist you in any way possible. Please email [email protected] or call 877-331-7752 so we can help.
This company will not let consumers who have used their vendors and have had horrible experiences post anything negative on a review about the vendor, even with proof that this company was not legit. The Knot is a joke and I wouldn't trust them!
Hi Lori,
We want couples to leave reviews about their experience, both positive and negative. However, if a review is disputed, our Policy Team does need to verify the review before it can be reinstated. This process can take a bit of time and sometimes does require specific documentation. If you have any questions about a review dispute, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Policy Team at [email protected].
Terrible company to be a vendor on. They lie, cheat & steal your money. The staff are all horrible and dishonest people. Market yourself. RUN!

By any means do not work or use the service of this company. They do whatever they can to get money from you. As a vendor they stick you in a subscription based service and put you in a contract without telling you first and if you try to cancel they do not allow you to. Again, DO NOT use this company!

Very friendly hosts and I had Maeline, they cater to your needs n will keep on until they get it rite, Vocelles is an very elegant building and I felt very appreciated, I did find say yes to the dress
Thank you for the review! We love our Wedding Pros and love seeing rave reviews about them. We encourage you to share about your experience on their Storefront as well!
I tried to leave a review about a homophobic venue refusing to service a friend's wedding. The site refused to post the review because I wasn't the specific person impacted. They didn't question the authenticity of the claim just my right to post it. Using protocol to hide homophobia is just as bad as the original incident. The Knot only cares about protecting the venues that pay money for thier services. They care nothing about providing individuals with accurate information about the venue they are considering for thier wedding.

The knot is horrible to work with. All my emails go to the same place and members of the knot team take turns answering my questions and passing me on to someone else. They refuse to share manager phone numbers/ emails and it's a horrible inefficient company to work with.

*Attention anyone who has a contract with Wedding Wire*
If you're looking to cancel your contract early with Wedding Wire, you will not be able to do so. But in speaking with customer service, I learned that if you dispute the monthly charge with your credit card company, Wedding Wire will cancel your contract. You will not be charged for the remaining months in your contract. This is NOT something they tell you upfront. I found this out when they renewed my contract for another year... automatically! Save yourself some money, and dispute the charge with your credit card company now!

I honestly can't figure out what's keeping people coming back to these sites (The Knot, Wedding Wire, etc.).
There is a reason why they lock you into a year's worth of payments for premium listings. If you were able to pay on a month-to-month basis, you'd cancel after the first month.
For those considering signing up, don't.
A sales person will call you, talk you into a listing, and have you paying for a year's worth of advertising at the click of a button. There will be no walking through of contract, terms of service or cancellation policy. Before you know it, they'll have you locked in (under the premise that they'll get you tons of leads) and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it.
I'm truly curious - has anyone successfully been able to cancel without actually canceling their credit card?
We apologize for any negative experience you've had. All of our advertising packages require a one-year commitment to ensure a consistent experience for couples, and to ensure that our Pros have the opportunity to be seen by engaged couples at all stages of the planning process. If you would like to further discuss ways to optimize your Storefronts on The Knot and WeddingWire for success, feel free to contact our WeddingPro Support team at [email protected] or 877-331-7752.
I am a wedding vendor, and I would highly advise against scheduling a call with The Knot/Wedding Wire. My interaction with them felt extremely shady, underhanded and sketchy. I was pressured into giving my credit card information to sign up with the understanding that a contract would be sent over after- which I assumed to mean a contract that I would sign in order to make it official. The woman I spoke with told me that if I didn't sign up right then, the discounts that were in place would not apply to me any longer and I would lose a spot on the website. After the phone call, I received an email with a contract, but no way to sign or officially commit. I called back and it was expressed to me that giving my credit card information over the phone was legally binding (which it isn't), and that I had two options- either pay the monthly fee (which they did agree to discount), or be blacklisted as a vendor (no explanation of what this entailed). I asked if there was any other alternative options and I was told no. I had my lawyer contact them and The Knot/Wedding Wire admitted that it was not a legally binding contract, and I was able to get out of the agreement if there was no further contact. So, I feel that they lied to me about the credit card information being legally binding, and failed to present me with the option to walk away without setting up an account even when I asked if that was possible- which seems to me to be a lie of omission, if not worse. I felt threatened by the mention of a vendor blacklist, as I had no idea what that meant. When your two options are either pay a monthly fee, or be blacklisted, it feels as if the only option for the safety of your business is to pay the monthly fee. Learning that I did in fact have the option to walk away, but they concealed this from me and made it sound otherwise, is disturbing to me. They still have my credit card information, which is unsettling for me. I felt that this company and the woman I spoke with used manipulation tactics and underhanded business practices, and I felt that they were very intent on concealing my options from me in order to ensure that I paid money for a service I didn't want to use, in the end. I would recommend vendors being very wary of this company. Do not fall into the trap of being pressured into something you are not ready to commit to, as it could lead somewhere similar to where I found myself.

The fake company, they publishing your website without your consent. The worse company in the entire wedding platforms.
I used The Knot for my wedding in July of 2020. It was super helpful in planning my big day. I especially appreciated the features it offers for keeping track of your guest list and addresses. It's so nice to have your own website and URL for your guests to go to and see all of your details! I loved having all my RSVPs in one place. It was also really helpful to have my registry on there, too. I had a lot of fun designing the website and displaying my engagement photos and bridal party! The only thing I didn't love about The Knot was that it was a little tricky figuring out how to work the website.
Do not use this site, scammers galore
They do not know thier vendors, scammers congregate here due to the ease.
This website put up my business name on their site without me knowing about it and without my permission. They put me as a Bridal Salon in Vancouver, BC... I don't have a bridal salon and I am not located in Vancouver BC, about they only thing they got right is my business name. They allow fake reviews and when I contacted them about this and asked them to take my business off of here, they refused. They told me I have to prove it, why should I have to prove anything to a business like The Knot who disregards the damage they do to a small business and are totally unaccountable for their actions. The Knot has disgusting business practices.
My fiancé and I have not received our funds, and it has been a month and a half. I have called, and it goes to voicemail. I have emailed the company as well. Today I called and pressed the number to advertising, and someone immediately picked up the line. She would not help me, but transferred me to the number where it was voicemail again. Do not use this company!
I advertised with The Knot and Wedding Wire (they have merged and are now one company with two sites) for 3+ years and paid them over $6,000 in ads. My contract term with the knot was for 12 months. I recently received a call stating that I was past due on payment with them. That sparked a concern for me as I had paid the full 12 months for the contract term that ended in April 2020 and it is now July 2020 when I got this call. So I pulled up my bank statement and saw that even though our contract term was over in April they had so called "auto renewed my contract" without my approval or signing of a new contract. They auto deducted money from my bank account for May and June! When I emailed and called to get a refund for the two months of overcharge they said unfortunately there is nothing we can do since you did not call us and tell us you didn't want an auto renew ad listing! That is highway robbery and extreme shady slyness. Also in the last 12 months I have only booked ONE client from their leads. The amount of the wedding I am photographing does not even cover the 12 month cost of the advertising. Honestly the whole thing is a total rip off!
The Knot pro for business is a total scam. They will charge you $160 and do absolutely nothing to promote your business. When I called to cancel due to covid-19 (the business was closed for over a month) they told me I signed a contract and it can't be terminated until the next month. So yeah, they were promoting' a closed business in a lockdown... When I called a month later to make sure its cancelled, they said it is. Yet, they didn't stop charging me! I called 4 times in one day to get a refund and they kept saying the account manager is unavailable at this time & she will call me back. Guess what? She never did! They are leeching off of small businesses giving absolutely nothing in return. Money wasted. They are absolute thieves & scammers of a worst sort.
I just went on my honeymoon out of country Marcell Fresquez was the best. She handled everything and went out of her way to make this the very best honeycomb ever and I changed my mine a few times she was always happy to hear from me and did everything to meet all my demands. Marcell is truly the best in her field. I will book every trip with her and refer to all my friends and family. Marcell thank you so much.

Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
