Do not book here unless you want to cry and stress out before, during and after your wedding. The websites company is very childish and unprofessional. Vendors can write their own positive reviews which can look like as if the vendor is super good meanwhile they don't even show up! Scammers on this site and the company doesn't do anything about it as they simply ignored to answer people their emails regarding how they allow scammers on their websites. They only want your money, and won't give anything in return. Use another website to find your wedding planner!
The Knot if you have issues they hide in their office and or work from home and if they do reply send you short emails without resolving any issues. There is no phone number or anyone in higher position to speak with. They have no skills in going over and troubleshooting issues. The CEO Timothy Chi is another one who hides from the public never replies to any of his emails. This company will fall it's just a matter of time they don't know what customer service is and they are not helping couples get the best vendors and they are not helping vendors book gigs. Brides need to get connected directly with their vendors and the same with vendors and their brides.
Attention business owners avoid subscription lead services they also go under The Knot, Weddingpro, WeddingWire, The Bash, Bodas, Hitched, howtheyasked, the nest thebump and Lasting. They charge between $300.00 to $9,000 a year for a subscription storefront ad which connects you to fake and or with clients looking for the cheapest prices in town. Few years ago WeddingWire posted on their website the average price for Wedding DJ across the United States is $750.00 they did not care if the entertainment market was destroyed. The main concern of the sales department was to book as many vendors as possible. WeddingWire, The Bash and WeddingPro were all sold by their original owners and purchased by The Knot who took control by buying up the others who were their competition. This made other vendors lower their prices even more so they would book the gig at super low price. $400.00 for Wedding DJ with three setups and uplighting was not the way any vendor could make any profit. Be smart create your own website learn to market yourself learn about SEO and how to give yourself more exposure to Brides and other client's events. There is no need for booking agents and lead services anymore they don't work and never did work. This company merged with others and if you did not do well on one site you would go to another of their sites and give them more money not knowing you were with the same company. Don't be fooled be smart put more money in your pocket and get better high paying clients on your own.

Signed up as a Vendor in 2021.
Lots of leads and ZERO sales.
I was never signed up for the marketing emails which was a huge pitch by their Sales team when signing up. After months of voicing this issue to both my account manager and vendor support, I finally started receiving emails at the end of my contract…
The majority, if not all of their "Leads" did not seem authentic and this definitely needs to be investigated by an outside party.
100% Do not recommend as a Vendor, this is definitely a scam and they take advantage of small businesses trying to get more exposure in the Wedding industry.
Hi RT, thank you for your review. We are so sorry to hear that you did not receive our marketing emails until the end of your contract. That is very uncommon but we appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. If you are willing to talk to us more about your specific experience, we would love to learn more in order to make improvements in the future. Feel free to message our Support team at [email protected] or 877-331-7752
I have used Marquis Florals by Kim before, I Never have to worry about the flowers, baskets etc…that we pick out. They are True Professionals and know their"stuff". Kim and her staff including her sister Joanne are a Pleasure to deal with. I would Absolutely use them again and recommend them highly.
We were invited to a wedding. The bride and groom used the knot for their wedding arrangements so we booked our hotel through the knot's website. I received an email saying that it was a prepaid reservation but when we arrived, the hotel had no record of our payment. The knot gave them our reservation but not our payment. We had to pay AGAIN at the hotel so we could have a room for the night! When I called the knot customer service line to try and straighten it out, I got put on hold and was then emailed a claim number. Ridiculous waste of time. Never book through the knot! Book with the hotel directly. Also, the knot charged us $40 more than the hotel for the same booking. What a racquet!
Hi Kathy, I'm so sorry for any confusion with your hotel reservation and the negative experience you had.
The Knot does not offer any reservation services directly, but we do partner with a company called HotelPlanner to offer reservation services. You can reach out to the HotelPlanner support team directly for assistance with your reservation via the contact information below:

I'm sure that Hotel Planner will be happy to find a resolution with you on this matter.
Do not use this service! I ordered $149.00 gift first of all they mark it up. Then I did not receive the shower gift. So I call their customer service number 4 time no answer and left a message it said they would call you back with in 24 hours they did not call back. So I emailed them 3 days later I received a email that said it had been delivered directly to her. I never asked to have it sent to her. So I called her and asked if she received it. She said I received a gift didn't know who it was from. They did not put a card in the box to say that the gift was from me.
Thank you for your feedback. We are so very sorry to hear about your frustration, but genuinely appreciate you bringing this to our attention.
To help provide a little extra information, it's important for you to know that all gifts purchased from our registries will be sent directly to the couple. This helps ensure their private information (shipping address) is kept secure and not publicly displayed. We understand your desire to have the option to send the item to yourself, and will share your request with our team for consideration in future updates.
Also, every guest that purchases a gift is given the option to include a "gift message" for the couple. These messages are available for the couple to privately view through the Gift Tracker on their website dashboard, which displays every gift purchased and by whom. Again, we apologize for any confusion for you or the couple on how gift details are communicated.
We are always striving to improve and appreciate you taking the time to share your concerns. If you have any additional feedback that you would like us to share with our management team, or prefer to discuss your concerns further on the phone, please do let me know. You can call us at 877-THE-KNOT or email [email protected]
We had a terrible experience with a vender our son found on The Knot and need to warn other couples. The Knot has removed all negative reviews. But really, they get paid from vendors to advertise on their site. Of the venders get bad reviews, they won't get business. If they don't get business, they won't advertise on The Knot and not renew their contract. And then The Knot looses money. Sounds like dirty business to me and not trust worthy. After the all mighty $$ and not helping couples paying for assistant. Because of this, our "Happily Ever After" was a total fiasco and the wedding every little girl dreams of will NEVER happen.
Hi Cynthia. Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. The Knot, was the best choice I have made for my Son's Wedding. The cake was delicious and the design was very special just for my son and the bride. Ms. Myra was very passionate about her craft. My grandson want her to do his birthday cupcakes. Thank you so much Gloria
The Morgan Creek Barn is Aubrey has been a fantastic venue! The staff and venders have been super helpful and easy to work with! Chelsea C has been amazing on helping me keep everything organized and together for our big day. I couldn't recommend this venue more!
I receive soo many spam inquiries and all extreme bargain hunters. The sales team was also relentless once I showed the slightest hint of interest. They called over and over again, stepping over boundaries and use high pressure sales tactics. I wouldn't give them your real phone number, but would recommend giving them a google voice number instead (yes, it was that bad). And then as soon as I signed up, literal crickets. I only have a few months left on my contract, thankfully (they make you sign for 12 months). Overall, it's 100% not worth it. Total scam.
Hi Lizzy, thank you for letting us know about this. Your feedback helps us do better. We'd like to learn more about your specific situation and make things right. If you wouldn't mind sending us a private message with your business details at your earliest convenience, it would be greatly appreciated. We look forward to speaking with you!
Just a word of caution. They use another party for booking rooms for guests. If a hotel is giving guests a special rate, call the hotel directly. The Knot website says to book the room and use a code. But when you book through them you do not get the special rate, if fact you pay considerably more. When you try to straighten it out, the Knot is not at all helpful. You have to call the hotel booking service they use, and they tell you it is non-refundable. I would not recommend them at all.

I joined the Knot a few weeks ago and the site was very easy to navigate through. I was able to set up my site, edit and change as much or less as needed to. I can't wait to finish adding to the pages.
The Knot endorses/promotes many vendors on their website, some of which are SCAMS! One such vendor is DESTIFY. DESTIFY will book your transportation, take your FULL PAYMENT, cancel that transportation just 24 hours prior to travel, AND REFUSE TO REFUND YOUR MONEY! Beware of The Knot and their vendors!
Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you had a frustrating experience, but I really appreciate you bringing this issue to our attention. I would highly recommend leaving a review on that vendor's page. Our reviews team monitors these and takes all accusations very seriously. I imagine they will want to investigate this further. If you have any questions about the review you may have already left, please feel free to reach out to [email protected]. We look forward to resolving this with you!
We love The Knot!
It's an increíble resource with lots of great tips and articles.
Our website came out beautiful, and the site is user-friendly and free.
Our RSVPs were trackable, our policies were clear, and using the email platform and app were also great additions.
I love that we can hyperlink to articles and include photos on the platform as well. We also utilized the budget planner and registry function a lot.
Thank you to The Knot for making our wedding planning smooth and keeping all our information in one place.
Highly recommend!
My son was just married in St. Louis and he and his bride used "Kate & Co." to plan and coordinate their wedding events. Kate & Co. Exceeded our expectations and serve as a shinning example of "going above and beyond." The wedding day flowed effortlessly, and Kate & Co. Were a joy to work with - upbeat and helpful in every way. Not only did the food, design, logistics turn out perfectly, Kate & Co. Thought ahead to bring gifts to the reception for the flower girl and her brother. I truly cannot say enough good things. Even the bus driver, to and from the hotel and events, was a Jack of all trades, whenever anything needed to be done. There were all an amazing team.
My daughter put an honest bad review of a vendor on The Knot to inform other brides of how that business operates. The Vendor got the Knot to remove the bad review. So basically, you can't rely on the reviews that are posted to the Knot as you are not seeing the true bad reviews.
Hi Chuck,
We are so sorry to hear that your daughter had a negative experience with a vendor listed on The Knot! Vendors are allowed to dispute reviews they believe violate our Terms of Use. After a review is disputed, our Review Team works to determine if the review does violate our Terms of Use. If there are any questions or concerns about a specific review dispute, our Review Team would be happy to help! They can be reached directly at [email protected].
First off I want to say that I am relatively happy with their wedding websites that they offer. I decided to give them some extra business and ordered my wedding invitations from them. What a huge mistake! I end up paying nearly $185 for 30 invitations. The border around the invitations are completely uneven and not what I asked for. They also got the date wrong on the other side of the invitation, and didn't send proofs to approve. Getting ahold of them on the phone is impossible. You just get some generic customer service. You can't get a hold of the actual designers or people that can help in any way with the actual invitations. I was blamed for the wrong date mishap via email, and no one has said anything about the border being uneven. If someone is paying a lot of money to have invitations, you would expect the border around the invitation to be even around all sides. If you look at the photos, the first photo is what I was promised. The second photo is the invitations they sent me. I'd have to go and re-cut the invitations so that there's somewhat even on all sides. How do you mess up 30 invites? So unhappy I need to re-order from a different company. What a waste of money. When you're ordering your wedding invitations, maybe use Minted or a local print shop instead.
Hi there,
We are so sorry to hear about your experience! Our Invitations Team will be happy to help make this right for you. When you have a moment, please reach out to us at [email protected].
For the price you have to pay its not worth it. You barely get leads no matter how much information you put ob your profile. The leads you do get don't even respond back to you. They lock you into a 12 month subscription and threaten to call collectors when you ask them to cancel. I expressed my concern of not getting leads and they told me to post more pictures on my profile, which is what I been doing this whole time. And the apps are terrible. Don't waste your money
Hi Xavier, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our advertising commitments are currently for 12 months because our most successful advertisers have found that when they begin their partnership with The Knot/WeddingWire, they need at least 12 months to build a successful Storefront, build up reviews, build a market reputation and attract and book business with engaged couples throughout the course of entire planning cycle. We would appreciate the opportunity to connect you with a member of our account management team to discuss your account with you further, so if you could send us a private message with your business details at your earliest convenience, that would be greatly appreciated!
The Knot is a cash grab at it's worst. Over the past 2 years, our venue has spent over $30,000 with them and had declining lead quality, inconsistent notifications and customer service is almost nil.
They changed their model in December 2021 to be more like Google and started charging $32 per lead automatically. They racked up over $4000 in leads that 100% were not quality and were a complete waste of our time.
When I brought up the issues, they refused to give refunds, credits or to pause my account.
If you are a wedding vendor, stay away. The Knot is a waste of money in 2022. They will take your money, not care about the quality of their service, and then tell you that you are out of luck.
Hi Seth,
Thank you for posting a review and we’re sorry to hear that your experience was not up to standards. We would like the opportunity to talk and investigate your feedback further. If you wouldn't mind sending us a personal message with your business details, we will be happy to get in touch and discuss this matter with you further! Thank you and we look forwarding to speaking with you soon.
Rsvd hotel at the knot. Cost 2x as much and then wouldn't allow cancellation refund! Wedding in 8 mos!
Hi Patti,
We are so sorry to hear about your experience with our partner, HotelPlanner! Our team will be happy to help, when you have a moment please reach out to us at [email protected].
Answer: My honest opinion... do not use theknot.com for your wedding. It crashes often and can be extremely frustrating. Believe me... I used it and was locked into using it because it was on all of my invitations. My best advice: use weddingwire.com. But, if you're not going to listen to my advice or are locked in and stuck as I was, go to your wedding website (not in preview mode) and click on guest list from the dashboard... well... After 9 attempts, TK will not load properly so that I can step you through it (everything else on my computer works great). Sorry, that's all I have for you. I hate theknot.com!
Answer: Tell them the same thing they say to you when you contact them for help in any way! "I don't think it is in our best interest! You are on your own... Good luck with that!"
