I seldom shop on-line and prefer in-store shopping; however, due to the current pandemic, I have on two occasions placed an order on line. As soon as I attempted to put in my personal information, all I received were invalid prompts with my email address, so was forced to use my husbands. I tried multiple times to get this corrected and was appalled customer service has now been reassigned to the Philippines. Not knocking this practice, however, on every call I made, there was an extreme length of hold times only to be told I would have to be transferred. Today I tried again, and received 3 transfers and one hour loss of time. There appears to be a language barrier and after several attempts to explain my problem, I abandoned the call. How sad that what was once a revered Canadian company with an outstanding reputation has lowered its quality of customer service. Problem still not resolved and I give us. It's unfortunate there are very few choices remaining to shop. I have been a loyal customer of the Hudson's Bay Company for decades!

I placed an order since August 26th only to be told when i called on September 12th that my order was damaged in transit and i will be getting a refund! No email no phone calls nothing! Now i call back again today September 23rd! The agent was so inadequate that i had to wait 28 minutes for her to type an email for a refund that apparently was only processed on September 21st 9 days after my first call! It was an argument for several minutes for to agree to send me a refund confirmation email! If there was a 0 star thats what i would provide them!

This people refused to give me my money back for a marble piece i bought from them. Scam artists!

Customers are not valued

Placed an online order back in Jun, they send me a wrong product. Since then, its being a extreme challenge dealing with the so called customer service agents at the overseas call center, who provided the awful service. Been promised for a call back from a manager several times, but no one bothered calling to get this fixed.

Horrible Online Experience

I ordered a blender on Saturday and as it is now Friday, I would have expected an email saying it had been shipped to the store for pick-up. Since there was no email, I checked my confirmation email and there was a link to contact them.
Did that and was chatting with a live person. I asked if my order had even been shipped to the store yet. Lady apologized that no email had been sent but that it had been ready since September 13th. She told me the address to go, however that was for a store in Ontario and I live in Vancouver. I mentioned that and was told nothing could be done as my order had been processed. Then I got disconnected.
Went through the whole thing again and was told that it is ready at a different address in Ontario. I again mentioned that I picked my store and had also given my address, and both are in BC. Again was told there was nothing that could be done. I could cancel my order and would receive a refund in 10-14 days, ONCE they get the product back. This new lady said I picked that store, which I didn't. I put in my Postal Code at the beginning of ordering and it pulled up 5 stores in the Lower Mainland. I said I want my refund then. Was then asked if I then wanted to proceed and cancel. I said yes, as I wasn't about to drive 4-6 days to pickup a blender. Was told that I would receive an email confirmation AFTER the product got back from the store and my refund was processed. I asked that I be given a confirmation email now and was hung up on.

They lost a customer permanently.

I contacted Hudson's Bay customer support line several times and twice was hung up on by their staff. I am so disappointed with the service and support Hudson's Bay provides. Firstly, that I had quite an issue trying to locate a registry, decided against buying something for someone on their registry as it was too difficult of a transaction and couldn't locate, tried to communicate with customer service in order to update an order already placed and hadn't had any success.
I am just appalled at how Hudson Bay operates and treats potential and current customers. I certainly will not buy from Hudson's Bay again, even if someone has a registry with them, I will look elsewhere to do business.

I returned the item as requested and tracking number confirmed that they received it but nothing happen since then (no refund - no response). Of course, I sent an email and they mentioned that they will respond to my email within 2 or 3 days, but again, no news from them. What kind of business treats their customers that way? The amount of my invoice was more than 600$ for multiple items. Very disappointed.

Horrid service

The products they sell are either extremely overpriced imports or they are low quality. The customer service is outsourced to a Third World country and it appears they are extremely young people. They usually cannot provide any assistance and have to redirect the call. In the past three years everything I have ordered has been damaged or had an issue. I would rather pay custom charges and order from the original seller than purchase from the Bay.

I cannot believe that the store I grew up with is now outsourcing to Third World countries their customer service are children and their products are now made in China and completely low grade. I had a nightmare experience I will never purchase from them again!

Love Hudson Bay. I don't have any return issues but I take it to the store for a refund. I will have it mailed but I'm close enough to a store. I shop online on their website a lot.

I shop the Bay online as there are no department stores near me. The delivery is prompt and correct. However, returns are a NIGHTMARE! Every single time I return an item I have to FIGHT with them to get my full refund. The first time it took more than 30 days after the original email stating that they had received and processed my return (they claimed mastercard lost the refund (?)). The next time I received the confirmation of return email and LESS THAN HALF of the refund owing via PayPal. When I called after a week of waiting to see if the remainder would appear I was told it had been processed and I should wait. Oh, and there are no supervisors or managers that I could speak to. I emailed the company looking for the refund and no response. If you like having no product and no refund than shop thebay.com. Otherwise, shop anywhere BUT thebay.com.

I have ordered from thebay.com numerous times. Of all the times I have ordered there has only been one time that was a negative experience but I was able to easily contact customer service for an explanation. Some items show in stock but ship from individual stores vs the warehouse, these items can sometimes not end up being shipped. I think they have a great selection, great sales and awesome brands to choose from. I have to dock a star on my rating as I do not have a Bay Card, nor do I want one, so I have to spend $99+ in order to get free shipping (unless it is a beauty order). If you have a Bay Card the free shipping threshold is lower. Also, most additional coupon code discounts are for cardholders. Returns are easy when you do with within the listed time frame and in store. I have never returned via mail. Shipping has always been super quick and shipping charges are reasonable if you dont hit the free shipping threshold.

After paying £10 to return my items to yoins they then told me I shouldn't have return to that address. I returned to the address on the package that it came from but told to send to another address after I'd returned it. Which I felt was deliberate as they wouldn't reply until after the return period

Even when I selected regular shipping, I was charged the express shipping rate. I wrote to HBC but they did not respond. If you're going to order here, then take screenshots of your order.
