I ordered flowers from here for my Aunt's funeral. I even ordered them a few weeks in advance and they were never delivered. I contacted the company and they refunded me but it still doesn't make up for the fact that they did this and especially for a funeral. It's really awful how they scam people. I can only hope there's a special place in hell reserved for a business like this.

A photo of the flowers (we live on another coast) showed a pathetic small straggly 'bouquet' which came no where close to the reference photo on Terry's website. I even upgraded the bouquet to the 'deluxe' to make sure it was a very full and beautiful bouquet. For $100, delivered, I would have expected that. Would have done better for $12 at Whole Foods. I was so embarrassed by the gift!
I ordered bereavement flowers on July 26th for delivery the same day. They called on the 27th and wanted to replace flowers that were essential to the bouquet. I agreed as long as they could deliver them the following day. On the 28th they left a message that they couldn't deliver the flowers and would credit me what I paid. This was wholly unacceptable. I called them and asked for ANY bouquet to be delivered and they said they had no flowers AT ALL. I had been going here for years and wanted to send these flowers to a grieving relative. I live states away and the relative was only going to be home for a few days before leaving to stay with other relatives. At that point, anything would have been better than nothing and they couldn't even do that. They told me to "have a great day" and that they were sorry. I'm really disappointed with this service and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
I ordered the deluxe version of this arrangement in the morning yesterday for my employer who had just lost her grandmother. I received the bouquet at work in the evening when we were about to close and she had already left for the day. There was a dirty white ribbon tied around the vase, the vase was half filled with dirty water. I tried to call them, but no answer. I emailed them and finally got an answer this morning; they will give me a refund of $15 for the dirty ribbon and late delivery. They also sent me their terms and conditions policy. This arrangement cost $109.00! Wow. Will be taking this up with my bank. I would rather give them back their sorry arrangement. I ended up ordering another bouquet from Freytag's and they were delivered at noon - gorgeous arrangement! NEVER USING TERRY'S FLORIST AGAIN!
Their site says their Customer Service sets them apart. That's the truth - but not for positive reasons. Ordered flowers. They were NOT delivered! Driver claims they were delivered and they were NOT! As of this writing I am on hold for the 3rd time with this company (I also got hung up on 2 other times when trying to find out the order status) - and they are reluctant to issue me a refund.

I too experienced a similar bad experience with Terry's Florist, order a Sympathy bouquet for my Nephew and what was delivered was from a local Super Market florist probably worth $30-40 tops, I was charged $127 for. After complaining and being offered a $35 refund and subsequently threatening to go to the Better Business Bureau and local MA State Attorney General, the full charge to my credit card was reversed. At least I was credited, otherwise there would be more action on my behalf. Stay away from this Bait and Switch scam site, wish I too did more research before ordering!
So I placed an order online for my 90 year old. I placed the order on Monday at 1pm for Tuesday delivery (her birthday), the arrangement wasn't delivered on Tuesday. No phone call, no email that "the truck broke down". Today is Wednesday and the flowers still have not been delivered and it is 7pm! I'm furious.
Don't waste your time and order from Terry's Florist. Bad customer service!
Order as arrangement it arrived looking like they picked flowers out of the dumpster. My $70.00 down the drain. Will never use their shop again and I told all my friends. One also had experience with Terry shop.
You would be better off to go to your garden pick our crappy flowers and send them. Please look at photos - I placed an order for the Lavender & White bouquet. I chose it because my sister sitting room in lavender and white. HUH - what the hell did they send her? Crappy already open roses (which means they are old) and daisy aka weeds. When address with the business they responded about supply shortages *blah blah - then take those off the website and offered $10.99 refund. Thanks but no thanks. I will take up with AMEX. I had my nephew go get flowers from Trader Joes with apologies. Shame on you Terry's Florist. Look and respond to your reviews.
I ordered 2 "Magnificent Life Spray" arrangements for a celebration of life. The flowers were ok but the card read: John Doe (actually the name of the deceased) celebration of life. This is NOT what we dictated the card to read and the family didn't even know who sent the flowers. Totally inexcusable. Then when I complained they offered me $10 refund - ridiculous off of an order of $370. DO NOT USE THEM.
I ordered a dozen roses for my Anniversary. First off, I wasn't happy with the extra $20 for delivery and handling, but they took my order and thought all was ok. I arrived home to no delivery. I called the shop to inquire and was told that the order had been canceled because they didn't have the ability to complete it. They said they tried to call, but I had no message. So the one time I remember my anniversary it gets screwed up by a business that is inept.
Ordered flowers on July 26 to be delivered to my wife at work on July 28. No flowers delivered. Called Terrys four times from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., which is when deliveries end. We still have no flowers. Spoke to 4 people who each told me they'd investigate the situation and call me back. No one ever called me. I was clearly dealing with a call center that I do not believe was local. The story I kept getting was that they hadn't heard from the driver. Five hours passed and they still hadn't heard from the driver. It's now 9:15 p.m. and still no one has called and we have no flowers, but they have my money. Total failure on Terrys part in every aspect of this transaction.
I don't know if this place is even in Downers Grove? The phone service is in New Jersey. My order never made it! I called and they kept saying the flowers are on the truck, but we can't contact the truck. Horrible Customer Service. No one knew anything about my order.

I ordered flowers for a special occasion to be delivered to a clinic. Delivery person showed up after hours to my wife's clinic on Friday. Delivery was a no go. So I contacted them to have them delivered on Monday. Again no flowers to my wife. A supposed refund is in order since I received no flowers. Guess what there is no refund either. Do not use this flower service. Very very disappointing. They never even asked as to what they could do to make it up for screwing up the flowers for a special occasion. Never again!
I ordered 2 standing flowers for a relative Funeral on July 21,2022. The Flowers should have been delivered the evening prior to the service (July 22). Imagine my surprise and embarrassment on the day of the event (July 23) when the flowers did not arrive. When I called to inquire what the hold up was I was put on hold for 25 minutes then someone hang up. I called and had to wait another 20 minutes before receiving confirmation the flowers was not delivered. I did not receive a call to say it was not delivered. At a time of grieving this is totally unacceptable.

I ordered some expensive flowers from Terry's Florist and they looked absolutely NOTHING like the photo. The flowers were a different colour assortment and totally cheap flowers instead of the beautiful ones in the photos. I called to complain but they took no responsibility and did not offer me a refund. I will never be ordering from them again. Below I'm sharing a photo of the ones on the website and the cheap assortment they sent.
I have never had a florist not deliver flowers before. When I looked online at my order, it was marked as delivered. My wife did NOT receive the flowers that I so wanted her to have on her birthday. The company even checked the security cameras, nope, no Terry's florist. In fact, they aren't even in Virginia Beach! I called the next day, multiple times, only to get a sad voicemail that they are "too busy to help." I emailed them on their contact form, twice, not even a reply. I left two voicemails, three hours apart, no call back. Finally, my wife received them at the end of today. Not what I paid 80.00 for, but she liked them at least--or maybe she was just being nice. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN--REPEAT NEVER
Please do not order from Terry's Florist in Vero Beach, FL. I won't even give them any stars no wonder why their rating is so low, it ya it forces you to give them at least 1 star. I ordered a peace lily and a memorial stone for my cousins funeral. They reread everything that I said on the phone and when I got the confirmation it had someone else's names on it so I had to call again. Then for the funeral I asked a family member if they receive it and they said that there was no card on them and the memorial stone wasn't on the peace lilies either, so the family thought that they both belonged to the church. In the time of sorry it breaks my heart to know that the family didn't know that we thought of them in their time of sorry. This is what was send no card, or the memorial stone :(
Wish I had looked at reviews before placing an order with this florist. I absolutely see why they only have a one rating. I ordered Flowers on a Friday afternoon for a Monday Funeral Delivery - the delivery was not made and at 11:33 I received a call from someone indicating due to shipment delays they would not be able to make the delivery. I really wanted to show my final respects to this person's family by having flowers delivered. Horrible service.
