Useless
August 13, 2020

I would give zero stars if I could because that's how useless the swap a lease was. I had to pay $200 to put pictures I took of my own car on the website, had the pictures up there for two months and no responses. I advertised my car on Facebook marketplace and had five buyers in the first two days. Then when I tried to let the buyers know to go to swap a lease, I was told that I had to fill out a credit application and send it to the potential buyers. I had assumed that swap a lease would help with the information transfer to get me out of my lease, turns out I paid $200 to advertise my car when I should have tried to find a buyer through Facebook, mercari, cregslist, or any other legit site. Biggest waste of time and money -10 out of 10 would recommend this site.

Our website is an advertising marketplace for a DIY process. We cannot fill out or complete any legal paperwork with either party. It's great if you can share your listing on other platforms to find a buyer. It usually does not work out though on a CL of FB Marketplace because buyers do not shop those websites for lease transfers. We try to vet our buyers so they understand the requirements and the process. I will email you directly to see what extra we can do to help out.

No Good
July 18, 2020

Car I wanted was not as advertised. Paid the money so could contact the lease holder and was told the car was for sale not lease transfer as advertised. No help from Swaplease folks. False advertising.

I just transferred my lease on a 2017 Lincoln Navigator with the help of my personal account manager Lisa Feldman, ext 2001. I am beyond happy with the level of customer service she provided. I only had 3 months left on the lease and she quickly got my car up and "searchable". When my first transfer candidate pulled out, just as we were completing all The contracts, i was devastated. I didn't think i had time left to start again. I emailed Lisa and she got the search Going.
Within 1 week i had a new transfer candidate and the contracts have been signed And the car has been officially transferred. Lisa was so attentive and available, i will absolutely call on her again. Oh- all this happened during the COVID 19 pandemic!

Mind blown that this company charges for a contact information,
If you're a seller don't get this service,
It doesn't make any sense, they just don't get the buyers, because buyers need to pay just for a contact
I personally am very interested in one car, but nothing guarantees that it will be available
Seller beware, stay away

We charge a finder's fee and have since 1999 with tens of thousands of sellers transferring their leases to new homes. The one-time fee includes a lifetime membership on our platform, live support, extra account notifications and most importantly the private contact information of our sellers. The bulk of our inventory is luxury vehicles. I'm sure you can understand that the sellers do not want their contact info out for the public to see. Also, we want to lightly vet our unregistered buyers,
By explaining the process and going over the requirements so that they understand what is needed to complete a transfer through the respective leasing company. Please contact us over-the-phone for discounts not available online. If you reach out to me directly, we have the option for a one-month membership if you wanted to try it out.

Never heard back from them After giving them my cc number, and have not received one phone call with any interest. It has been 2 months. They say it takes 5-6 weeks to get rid of your car. Total complete waste of money!

We're sorry to hear that you have not had a good experience. You purchased the mid-level Gold package that will have an average time-frame for completed listings with competitive pricing. There are a few things that you can do to help out with your listing. One is to send in photos that we can add to your listing so that buyers can see the vehicle condition inside and out. I will email you directly with a few other complementary options to help.

Rep suggested I purchase a membership to contact sellers. He said a discount is offered. Call dropped before completing signup. Registered online without discount because they never picked up phone. Bery disappointed as it seems there is a limit on many sellers you can contact. I think 8. How can they expect to find a car with only 8 sellers half of which had their cars "not available" even though the ads says the are.

Roland, thanks for letting us know here about the vehicles. The contact count can be replenished at any time. It is a way for us to monitor use and help preview fishing scams to protect our private sellers. Simply call or email us and we will reset the contacts. Also, please contact our support to help check the status so that we can verify is the vehicles are available. It is up to the seller to let us know the status of their transfer. Even though we have measures in place to help with accuracy, there are times that the seller does not keep their listing up to date.

Waste of money I had my car listed from November till June when I took it down out of frustration and decided to keep the car. Called a few times and had ad updated still nothing. Contacted them today and asked for the ad to be removed and requested a refund to be told I would not get one because I didn't reach out to a specific person she could have made that better well why didn't you do that in the first place? Then was told it typically takes 90-120 days it's been way past that. Then the rep blamed the lack of attention on Covid-19 even though the ad was placed months before the pandemic.

Due to the pandemic, I decided to move back home to be with my family so I needed to find someone to take over my car lease. I reached out online to SwapaLease and Ron Becker called me immediately. He was fantastic! He guided me through the whole process and was always available to answer my questions. I was able to find someone to take over the lease within 2 weeks.
Ron was reassuring and helpful during a difficult time. I admit I was nervous about the process, but Ron made it easy. Thank you for your excellent customer service.

I was looking to get out of my BMW X1 lease, which still had 2 years remaining on it. The salesperson, Lisa Feldman, contacted me and essentially handled everything from start to finish. Within 1 day of my BMW being listed (with Lisa's help, which was amazing), I received a call from a reliable buyer with good credit. I am now out of my lease and the whole process was seamless. I would definitely use Swap a Lease again if I needed to get out of a car lease (or even potentially if I wanted to takeover a lease).

Fictious Responses
March 8, 2020

Paid $300 to list my vehicle for lease swap. Provided photos as requested along with a write up of terms. SwapaLease Rep assured me that my offer was competitive with similar vehicles listed. Said average wait for a qualified buyer was 30 to 60 days. After 3 weeks with NO response and a few phone calls to the Rep, I got one e-mail Inquiry asking if the vehicle was still available. I replied with Yes! Waited several days for return message then called the phone number for the "Interested party" Asked to speak to this person and was informed that there was no one at this number by that name and that no one had inquired about buying a car.
Ok. Figured it was just a nuisance query and added a cash incentive to my listing to up the gain. Six weeks and several complaints to my Rep and I got another email from a different person asking if the vehicle was still available. This time I immediately called the phone number provided by the potential buyer. No surprise: I got a recorded message stating that the call could not be completed as dialed and I should check the number and try again. I did so with same result. Then I sent a response e-mail to the address provided in the Query. This time I said vehicle was still available for inspection and lease transfer at the buyers convenience. Still waiting for response back.
I suspect I will be waiting til hell freezes over because both of these "interested" persons were plants from SwapaLease whose mission was to keep me believing that they were actively working to move my vehicle.
If I had received several queries from buyers looking for a better deal than I was offering, that would have convinced me that SwapaLease was at least out there beating the bushes on my behalf. Given the total absence of any legitimate queries over a 90 day period, I have to suspect that the SwapaLease business model is defective and offers little benefit to clients who sincerely want to get out from under a car lease with reasonable terms.

I had a pieasant experience with swap a lease. Biggest problems were people who wouldnt commit to showing me their vehicle and the lengthy time to close the paperwork after the process starts.[not swap a lease"s fault tho]. It ll take 4 sometimes 5 wks.to complete the transaction. Ford Credit is the worst I believe. Truth of the matter is the credit co. Has no incentive to hurry. The original lease is a done deal. When someone takes over a lease the credit co. Has already made their money and has no reason to hurry the paperwork...

A friend told me about swapalease a number of years ago, when I was between cars and not sure what I really wanted. I picked up a great SUV for 27 months which was perfect, and the price was right. I then was getting out of a company car, needed something short term, and Swapalease had a great car for 14 mo which was all I needed. I highly recommend them not only for friendly service and price, but also for being exactly what I needed.

Thieves
January 11, 2020

They are thieves. Not only did I pay them to upload my car but I found them a buyer interested through other websites the buyer called left his phone number and name and no one got back to him. I emailed Mr. Vernon who was playing dumb trying to tell me that he doesn't know if his associate called. I then texted the buyer and he confirmed that no one ever called him. I then emailed Mr. Vernon confronting him that all this to just get 290$ from me and of course no respond. This is how they make their money. Shame on you tou can shove my money cause your not seeing anymore.

As per our agreement on the $200 off-lease program, we are going to list your Jeep Cherokee until sold and will continue to do everything that we can to help. There are no other charges from us other than the $200 for the listing. We will reach out to you with a few more options that we think will help.
