I had to cancel a ticket i was selling, and they charged me 90$ dollars and it had no relation to how much i was selling it for. I put it up for 75, and asked for 65 back. I've been trying to contact them for a few days now and obviously no one wants to answer. 99% of the reviews i find online for this website are the same story as well so i would not use stub hub.
Please stay away from this site. We had a horrible experience. Tickets never showed up. Customer service was horrible and we missed an event that we traveled a great distance for.
I used StubHub for the first time, night before a football game and got pretty good seats for the game. Next day, drive 4.5 hrs to the game, park, and go to my phone to pull up the tickets. I buy tickets from airlines who text and email the boarding pass directly to me. Open a text - viola, set to go. So. I draw no reason in the year 2021 to pull up the tickets any earlier. How wrong was I? All I got was an email link to their website, which required me to log in, which meant that I needed to set up an account since I purchased the tickets as a guest. Not great but that was the least of the issues. I had to click more links to get the tickets and the links generally would not load. When one finally, did, there was another link still to go to get my tickets to appear. Each link would time out and give 1 or 3 various error messages. I then downloaded the app and had the exact same issue. Found a link for Help. LOL. I was asked to log in again and then directed to the same View Tickets home page that was necessitating the need for help. Could this be and an old man or ID 10 T error? Well, I'm sure that is what my 15 yr old son thought when he took over on his phone. After 45 minutes of getting error messages and watching the website/app time out, the game had started and the lines had cleared to enter the stadium. I asked the ticket taker if they experienced issues with Stub Hub not loading and fortunately she had personally experienced it on several occasions so she let us in based on the email description. I think she felt bad that we had already missed the 1st two TDs, one by each team. Her advice was to get started downloading the tickets as soon as you buy them and then take a screen shot of them. Really nice, Stub Hub. The most basic and vital part of your business functions like something from the early days of dial up internet. I will try other ticket resale sites in the future.
Sold tix on here since 2015 and never really been satisified. But since they are the biggest I use them. Looking at other options now. If you are a seller they literally try to set you up to fail at transferring tickets etc. why? Because they make more money wiht the ridiculous penalty they charge for sales not completed and then they get replacements. Recntly one of my a buyers told round and resold them on SH. Bu he never accepted the Ticketmaster transfer of the tickets from me to send to new buyer. Day of show they called, begging me to cancel transfer and resend to his end buyer. There were not many tickets left so SH, for a change,, was going to maybe lose money if I did not send to end buyer. I asked for both sells, mine and the buyer that never accepted my tickets. They said no. So I did not re transfer. Greedy company that, again, will screw sellers at every chance! Use other platforms if possible for resell.
Worst experience- do not trust that you will get your tickets in time OR get 24/7 costumer service! Ordered 2 tickets for an event. Didn't receive day before event on delivery date (mobile tickets). They issued me a refund only after I argued to get one. They couldn't give me tickets in same section because costs had gone up. So I purchased a single ticket in a different further away section. Yep- never got tickets, but they charged my account! Sat on phone waiting for an hour and a half At THE VENUE because they GUARANTEE tickets before event. Ended up getting an instant ticket through vivid tickets while sitting at venue entrance. Then add insult to injury- waited on phone over an hour the following day to get somebody to refund me. Will never use again! And I never write reviews, but want to warn future customers! Wish I had read reviews first!
If I could give zero stars, I would... Stubhub doesn't deserve even 1 star.
I had purchased 2 Tina Turner musical tickets but was unable to attend due to a sudden death in the family. So I listed the tickets on stubhub.com on 10/7/21 evening, then deleted the listing through the app a few hours of creating the listing (the listing was created through the website). I doubled checked the listings page to ensure there were no active listings. I thought that was the end of that... wrong. 3 days later, I received an email that the tickets had sold even though there was no active listing. So I called the 'customer no support' number, waited 2 hours to speak to someone about StubHub's technical failure, explained the situation about deleting the list through their app, and inquired if there was seamless integration between the website and app transactions. The support agent said she would mark the support ticket "Urgent" and I would receive an email with their response within 24-48 hours. It is 4 days (96 hours) and still no response. I did call them within 24 hours of the first call, but I waited 3 hrs and had to hang up without resolution This company is a complete fraud, scamming sellers and buyers alike, claiming a 'friendly and supportive customer service' line, which is a complete lie. I will never ever use this site again.
If you value your money, time and health... choose another company who is honest, has morals, and true to their word. You have been warned.
Btw, the parent companies of Stubhub are eBay, Viagogo, viagogo AG
StubHub sucks! It's all about them making money and I understand. But when you have a $167 credit and you cant get it back because of customer service it's bull $#*!.
This is a TYPICAL stubhub scenario. They do not care about the sellers or the buyers, they just care about getting money from whomever they can. Thank God for Vivid Seats. Sold 4 high end expensive tickets to the 49ers vs cardinals weeks in advance before the game, tickets were delivered to the buyer and then 2 hours before kickoff, they cancelled the sale. Why? Their integrations team was having a hard time issuing new bar codes to the buyers, leaving me with $2K in tickets at the last minute. I asked, can I transfer the tickets to the buyer? I am told no. Can I speak to a supervisor? No. Anything you can do so I am not the only one getting screwed her? No. No. No. No. That's all you hear from their customer service reps. Never list your bar code numbers when selling tickets on stubhub or your are essentially handing them temporary custody of your tickets and it is up to them what do to with them.
I had a great experience with stubhub recently. I used their platform to purchase tickets for an event that was supposed to take place in 2020. Of course the event was rescheduled, then rescheduled again, and eventually cancelled. Since the original ticket was purchased from Ticketmaster, the original purchaser got a refund but I did not. I was very disappointed. But not too long after the event was cancelled, stubhub reached out to inform me that I would receive a full refund including service and delivery fees. Great customer service, communication and professionalism. Also, I've never had a bad experience purchasing from them in the past.
As a seller, I was selling a parking pass to an event October 10,2021.
October 6,2021 - Uploaded a parking pass to sell.
October 6,2021 - Parking Pass was purchased and sent electronically to buyer
October 7,2021 - (1:02pm) Buyer electronically accepted the ticket. I received email verification from ticketmaster. Stubhub confirms buyer received.
October 7,2021 - (3:02pm) StubHub cancels the transaction for the following reason: Because I didn't deliver your tickets on time, this sale was canceled. StubHub also stated they are charging me $67.92.
October 7,2021 - The buyer has received a FREE ticket (Value: $151.00) that is "ticket master verified" and then cancelled the transaction for an event on October 10,2021.
I have been on hold for 3.5 hours trying to reach customer service.
The worst customer service ever! Keeping on hold 1-3 hrs, customer service representatives are extremely rude and disrespectful to clients. After laughing at you instead of trying to help, they hang up the phone. Useless!
Whew. Where to start? StubHub sold 7 of my Harry styles tickets. I transferred said tickets to buyers... come to find out my account was charged 720 dollars for "cancelled" tickets. And then again 343 and then again 620. All while receiving emails saying my transfers to the buyers were complete and to go accept money that's not there. So far I am owed over 3 thousand dollars from StubHub plus the overdraft fees in my bank account that I refuse to resolve. They will be paying me for my time, bank account fees, tickets and charges they took from my account. Mind you my bank is not connected to my StubHub account my PayPal account is. So how does that even work? To make matters worse I've called for 4 days now and have been on hold for 5+ hours each time with NO CONTACT with an actual human. Just a dumb $#*!ing robot asking me my phone number over and over again. I've reached out on Twitter, Facebook Instagram and StubHub's help app. The company is the worst company I've ever come in contact with. I want my money and then some. CALL ME THE $#*! BACK STUBHUB. I have proof of all purchases, acceptance emails and so on. I'd post them but it has my information and buyers information. Call me and I'll show you stupid $#*!ing StubHub. I wish I could give you zero stars. You deserve no stars you piece of $#*! company. And piece of $#*! customer service.
Purchase concert tickets, received confirmation, they billed my credit card, but never sent me tickets. Waited 3.5 hours on the phone and finally spoke with a person who could not help me. Said 2nd party Ticketmaster will be contacting me. They did and then asked if to put me on hold, 40 minutes later holding they hung up on me. Called a second time to StubHub waiting 1.5 hours and they didn't want to give me a refund for their error. They tried to apply a credit for future use. Such poor customer service!
I saw someone else say, and I must agree, that stub hub use to be a great company but now they're garbage. I use to get my ticket with plenty of time to put it in a safe space prior but now I bought a ticket for Black Dahlia Murder and it sold it to me through ticketmaster. Okay not a problem I thought, but when I tried to claim my ticket It asked me to log in and it didn't recognize the email I used to purchase the ticket from stubhub, so I didn't get my ticket and couldn't go. I tried calling but they were closed for the weekend. It's Monday now and I've been on hold for almost 2 hours trying to reach someone about this (the first time I called I was hung up on after the first hour so I'm trying again). I at least would like my money back from them not segwaying my purchase to my ticket, they took my money but didn't deliver and on top of that didn't have any customer service to help get what I purchased for. Secondly, I bought tickets for knotfest that I bought the insurance for in case I couldn't attend (at this point if they're making me go to a third party I'm just going to buy from them so I don't run into the technical difficulties they created by doing so) but now I can't just get a refund I paid the extra money for, I have to sell my ticket for a lower price, that's not what ticket insurance is at all. Nothing of what they claim to do is working at all and they don't care, otherwise I wouldn't wait an hour to get hung up on. They just want you're money and tell you to get lost after and it's your problem. I hope they tank as a business, they're nothing like what they use to be.
I ordered tickets on StubHub but never received the email from the third party seller to accept them. It would have been an understandable mistake, but StubHub is impossible to contact to remedy mistakes like this. They do not have a working customer service email, they don't respond on Twitter and Facebook, and I've sat on old for long amounts of time but never gotten through to a representative. I'm now out like $1,500. I had to buy tickets from another seller because I was standing outside of the venue refreshing my email and looking for my tickets. Horrible experience. It would take a lot to get me to use StubHub again or recommend it to anyone I know.
Dear StubHub, last year I paid over $300 for Eagles tickets in January to see them in March. Due to COVID it was postponed until September of this year. Well, over the last year, my tickets completely disappeared from your website and app, and no longer existed. I was incapable of returning them or selling them. Finally, days before the concert, I get an email that you've transferred my tickets to Ticketmaster, who then gave me my tickets for The Eagles show only HOURS before the actual show. Mind you, by now, I've spent weeks attempting to contact Stubhub with absolutely no response. Then I spent all of my Saturday evening attempting to contact Ticketmaster, which by the way, through their app and their website, there is no way to contact them via email, phone or chat and their TEENY TINY "contact us" button at the bottom of the page only takes you to the top of the same exact page, IT TAKES YOU IN CIRCLES. I attempted to sell my tickets in a last ditch effort with no luck. So after explaining to Stubhub that I am a nurse and I do not want to go due to COVID and how absolutely ignorant people are about protecting themselves and others, and I need the money because I need new tires as I drive for work, but these big corporations didn't give a $#*!. And since I couldn't get in touch with either of these $#*!ty companies, I'm trying to write reviews everywhere, maybe they will see it, maybe others will see it and know that Stubhub and Ticketmaster are abusive with their power.
Terrible! Never again! I never received my tickets and customer service will have you on hold for hours and not answer!
I suppose Covid killed StubHub?
Their customer service used to be exceptional--NOW--its Non Existent
Trying to get tickets to buyer--been on hold for 2 hours ---waited over 2 hours yesterday as well
WOW--talk about falling off the planet
I purchased tickets through StubHub for a 9/12/21 event in NYC, but ultimately could not attend, so I used the StubHub website to sell the tickets. The website makes it very easy for you to sell your tickets, but that is just a false sense of security. I posted the tickets for sale a week before the event and no sooner had I posted the tickets for sale then they were just gone -- I could still see that I had two tickets for the event, but they were not actually listed for sale (pending, for sale, completed sale, etc.) and I could not re-list the tickets for sale because the website would note that I had already listed them for sale. So the tickets went to waste. I would have rather given the tickets away to someone who could go to the show then let them go to waste like that. The salesplatform is just awful and it is literally impossible to reach someone at StubHub to help.
Do NOT buy from stubhub! Especially during this covid mess. My concert was rescheduled 2x, originally on a Saturday, and moved to a Thursday night. Tried to resell my tickets, but no go. Tried to at least get a credit for future event, but denied. I just had to eat nearly $200. Totally pissed & disappointed.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
