I've been waiting on my glasses for 2 weeks now. Up until yesterday the pickup date was and remained 6/19. Well today came and it said there was a delay and would not be in today and they couldn't tell me when they would be. Allegedly, the FDA has caused my order to be delayed because they supposedly had to inspect or investigate. Sounded kind of strange to me, but regardless, have no idea when my glasses will arrive. I've never had to wait longer than 8 days with Dr. Winters and his stafff.

I visited the store to order a pair of glasses. Brought my own eye prescription to make things easier. Paid for glasses and was informed that I would receive an email when my glasses were ready, 2 weeks tops.
Here we are June 18th, 2021. Tried calling the available number on receipt with no results. Tried online with no results. Finally found a customer service number online and found out that the store never processed my eyeglass order but charged my visa account. Customer service Instructed me to return to the store and handle the matter with the site staff.
Very poor customer service. No accountability. Pushing the problem forward instead of taking charge and resolving the matter.
My advice: go elsewhere
I had a great Dr's exam and also wonderful customer service. It was just as I expected from an Eye Exam and also from the associates that helped me with choosing my lenses and prescription with all the perks you get with the prescription lenses.
The prices were affordable and reasonable and I was able to use my health insurance and also my care credit card in the payment, which made it super easy. I would recommend Stanton Optical for my whole family and friends for future reference.
On 25 May 2021 I went to Stanton Optical in Sherman Texas to have an eye exam and order glasses. When I went to pickup the ordered glasses on 14 June 2021 and tried on the glasses, I told the technician that the prescription was incorrect since I could not see properly. I was told just wear them and see if it got better. The next day 16 June 2021 I returned to express the fact I could neither drive, walk or read with the furnished glasses. The checked the glasses and said what they furnished was not what was ordered and then did a recheck on my eyes, but even though they changed the prescription what they proposed was loaded into a holder via small round inserts to duplicate what they now said I should have. I still could not see properly with what they proposed and pointed out that in my current bifocal prescription the add section was not the same in both lenses and was told they would not do it that way. Since I could not read with what they offered I requested a refund. I was informed they would not refund the money, nor correct the prescription. They would not give me the results of the second eye exam. Not the doctor patient result I would expect.
Would not even check the grind to see if it was correct. Three months old and causing headache. Had to back to my previous pair. All they wanted do off the bat was tell me how it was going to cost for a exam and replacements. 30 day warranty, really!

The Rx is too costly. Frames are not as well made as I thought. The frames looked attractive and they claim the value is good but there are added costs that drive the price up. Once I picked up the glasses, it didn't seem it was what we agreed upon but I felt stuck because I needed the glasses. The catch is that the Rx costs more than the frames so they may advertise that the frames are reasonable. I don't think I would chance using them again.
Absolutely crazy warranty on lenses. I purchased two pair of glasses less than a year ago. One pair has multiple cracks around the edge of the lenses. I paid $397 for the two pair. I went to Stanton today to inquire if they were under warranty and was told that they were. I was then informed that my cost was $120 to get the lenses. She then went on to explain that the lenses were $600 and I had to pay 20% of that cost. When I stated that the lenses I purchased weren't $600 she then explained that I have to pay 20% of the full retail price without any discounts thus my fee of $120. This is absolutely crazy. I would have no issue if they charged 20% of what I paid... but 20% of their rack rate which no one pays is downright wrong. What a poor policy for customers with legitimate issues with the quality of the product. Take your business elsewhere as this is no way to generate repeat customers.
Took my 2 boys there in August 2020 for check-ups before going back to school. My oldest son's glasses took almost a month to come in, prescription was wrong. Had to take him back in. Fixed his prescription, but now the frames have broke 4 different times and they charge us $30 every time we go in there. So, his $500 pair of glasses have now cost us $620! Hey will not give a refund because they say the glasses lasted longer than the trial period! Bunch of BS. Complete BS! They did give us his prescription this last time and we are ordering frames on-line. Complete joke of a company.
I went in and everyone was great! When i had troubles a worker alicia helped so much! Great service genuinely!

Worst experience getting glasses. The staff was nice but lacked knowledge regarding optometry. There is not an optometrist anywhere near the facility. I have good insurance and it cost way too much. I will not go back.
This place is absolutely amazing. The refraction service was something I was a bit hesitant about but the ladies here assured me that it works no different and they weren't lying. It was the most efficient eye exam I think I've had, and I've been wearing glasses and contacts for years. The wonderful customer service here never fails! These ladies are the nicest ladies, They get a little busy but their time management skills are through the roof. Their attitudes towards each other and to their customers aren't affected by the amount of people they see. You can see their smiles even with masks on! If you want friendly, fast and structured eye care go visit them. I was helped by Tamberlynn and Sandra, two of the managers here at the Stockton location. These ladies worked well with each other to help me figure out exactly what I need and their personalities are unmatched. Thank you so much for all that you do.

Took me a month and half to just get glasses that don t work! So after 5 trips of an hr an half drive i decided to get a refund and go else where. Well because i paid cash in the store i have to wait 30 days for them to send me a check in the mail! What the heck kinda of business is that! I don t recommend anyone go there at all! They do not give good services at all! Their eye Dr is on a tv on the wall!
On April 9, I visited the Sherman, Texas store and selected a pair of frames in which I needed lenses. I gave them my prescription and was told they would need 2 weeks to complete my order. Since I lived a hour away, they said they would send the glasses to me. A month later, I called asking about my order. "Oh, we forgot to send them. We will over night them today." One of the two arrived the next day. I called them on a Thursday to hear, "We didn't ship both pair. I do not know why. I will over night them." The following Monday, the glasses did not arrive suggesting they were not overnighted as promised. I called Tuesday, "You should have them today." They still have not arrived.
Is anyone in charge of the branch locations as it appears customer service is a systemic problem by virtue of most of the comments? Does the corporate office understand that with good customer service, the business will get repeat customers?
They will not be getting mine again.

The particular location in wpb fl south, (military trail and forest hill blvd)avoid at all costs!
Located in a discusting terrible area, there was a homeless guy in the parking lot taking a dump when we arrived. 6 people waiting before us in wait area.
30 minutes after our scheduled appointment the lady tells us that it is a "virtual dr" doing the exam and could not sign my son's dmv form for glasses.
We would have to reschedule again with the "real live" dr the next week on the one day he's there Mondays.
Avoid this location, customer service is the absolute worst, total waste of my family's time.
If I could give 0 stars I would! I did not get my lenses on time in fact they were 3 months late! They also got my order wrong 5 times.
I would like to commend Stanton optical on employing Ronnita Washington as a service manager at the East Washington location, in Madison, WI. I have never had anyone in the service industry treat me with such care and concern, as I received from this employee. I was guided through the process, and everything was explained to me in such detail that I left feeling I had received the best deal in town. I would return to this store for service, and recommend it to family, friends, and co-workers. The commercials do no justice to the knowledgeable service I received on Saturday 4/3/2021. Thank You Stanton for hiring this Great individual.
Do not use, lacking in customer service. Eye exam was done per a machine, not a human being. They got my RX wrong and I was told I could ONLY order a years worth at a time. When I contacted them telling them I cant see close up the girls said, oh your contacts are only for distance. What? When I told them I needed multi focal. I raised so much sand and they agreed to a free exam but would do nothing about the $100 I had spent on the wrong lenses. They were very unethical and unprofessional. It is not focused around the paying customer, it is, get as many people in and out as possible and if their is an issue, oh well. I have to demand for this situation to go to corporate, a doctor in FL of all places. I would give a 0 star if I could.

It turns out both of them needed glasses and they were professional in the way they treated us the worker Tiffany was absolutely fabulous she made us feel at home and made us feel like she was there to help us very impressed in her knowledge and the way she conducted itself like a professional person very good job very happy will definitely go back and recommend people good job Tiffany

I'm normally a very patient person (can go from 0 to nuclear rather quickly if you push the right buttons), so with that being said, I literally had no complaints about the wait time for the exam, the exam itself, customer service, etc... I do take an issue with finding only 13 discounted frames in the most hideous of fashions, though.
After paying $90 they tell me it's going to be just over 2 weeks until they come in. Over two weeks?! I'm walking around with super glued and duct taped glasses here because my dog decided they looked like a great chew toy. I would have paid double if it meant I could properly see.
Just flat-out ridiculous of a wait time. Never going back there again until they correct their cake and coffee laissez-faire way of doing business.
