My laptop was not working. I told them honestly it had not gone through any accident. They came back saying it was moisture damage (which I knew was incorrect)from looking at a few photos. They refused to have me send the laptop for them to look at. Stating it was already decided. They are the worst insurance. Never would recommend. 1 star is too good for them
They area the worst a bunch of thieves 5 year warranty still they refuse to change my weak chair legs and Wayfair is no help either. I have children and i am pregnant i guess we are supposed to fall and get hurt over $1200 for these chairs worst purchase ever
Bought a refurbished ebay computer from TechLeaf. Crashes all the time. Outside 30 day return window so tech leaf and ebay won't help. Must use the HORRIBLE Allstate Square Trade warranty. First they had me backup all of my files and insisted they would walk me thru fixing it. It would not even properly run the diagnostics. He put me on hold for 25 minutes and the call was disconnected. He did call back and only offered a portion of the amount I paid for it. I yelled. HE "made an exception" and only then did he continue to submit the claim for full amount. As an american, i resent this crap to have to deal with crap asian companies whose favorite thing to do is waste my time. Allstate should be boycotted for wasting my time and i will NEVER buy a TechLeaf computer ever again. I could not even leave them a bad review. Don't buy ebay refurbished. IT SUCKS.

I want to start by saying I wish I could give this zero stars because it doesn't even deserve one star. The customer service was horrible, the level of knowledge that the staff had was horrible the way they investigated my complaint was horrible and the way they handled my complaint at the end was even more horrible. Because of this company and their inability to focus on my needs over their protocols I ended up in a mess. The utter stupidity of the staff that I spoke to on the phone was embarrassing. As a consumer, I deserve better. When I purchased a warranty, it was supposed to make things easier not harder. The exact opposite happened with this experience. Everything was hard. And at the end of the day when I got my laptop back they had reset it to factory settings without even calling me to tell me what was wrong or to ask me if I wanted it to be fixed. So now I have lost everything that was on my laptop prior to it being fixed. To say I am frustrated is definitely an understatement. I really wish the person I spoke to would've walked me through step-by-step the protocols so I wouldn't have ended up in this situation. But clearly she didn't know the protocols either. From now on, I will probably not buy a warranty for a laptop and will just deal with the problem on my own. I should've been allowed to have my laptop fixed in my city instead of having to FedEx it to another state and have no communication with the people as they assessed the situation. This led the more problems for me. The management admitted that their staff fumbled the ball and offered me $50. Wow $50. What is that going to do to fix my situation? The lack of compassion, remorse and empathy was astounding. What an embarrassing company.
In my experience, square trade lingers on phone support, misguides for steps to take to possibly avoid sending a technician out and after five months has not been able to solve a refrigerator problem. I would spend way more time upfront to try and make the best purchase OR avoid a large purchase and find a work around so you don't need to rely on warranty or tech support OR make a limited investment so you can recoup and justify the purchase.

Found everything seemed easy but hit a snag
Called CS - super friendly and said system was down - please wait
Waited until next day - send on line and found that my account had been reassigned to an OLD/DEAD email
Called - 90 min later - after many conversations and many times I explained they said it would get fix - wait 5 hrs and for an email
I waited
Well email arrived and basically said u loose your warenty if u cannot access the previous email!
I never gave them this email
They pulled it and filled this out
However they will not offer a fix
They give perpetual runaround
They appear nice yet never fix anything
Do not waste your money this was a total scam
All state should loose their license for participating in such a disgraceful business model
Paid for the warranty on my living room furniture. Took a little over a month to get confirmation that they will cover it ( all was covered on my warranty) back and forth to get approved tried to get out of it. Then order the parts and took another 14 weeks to get them in. Altogether 5 months to have my love seat repaired due to the couch material ripping. Don't get the warranty not worth the hassle and time to get it fixed.
I purchased the Squaretrade phone warranty plan through Allstate mid year 2023. March 2024 my phone fell & broke, I took it to get fixed cost $381, submitted claim with receipt & they denied claim saying pre-existing which it was NOT! WORTHLESS WARRANTY DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY ON.
Purchased this extended warranty for a kids toy (retro gaming system) under $40. I figured if something happened to it I would just get sent another cheap toy to replace it. After filing out a claim, these people want me to have a repair facility repair it and they will reimburse me. It's a cheap kids toy from China and no one is going to fix it as it's a hardware issue. Anyways tried chat w zero help. I wouldn't suggest spending your money on this warranty.
If its a cheaper item, they're great at replacing it right away with the same item. If its an expensive TV. They send parts out and a technician, which the TV was worse off then it was before. When offering a replacement tv, they offer a tv that's about half the price and not anywhere near comparable. After arguing with them, they offered a tv a step right below the current tv saying its comparable. A different processor and half the HDMI ports isn't comparable in my book. Then they throw different brands at you. They wont replace the tv with the same model/series or the replacement model/series of the tv if there's a new series of it. I would rate this place 0 stars if I could.
After 2 years, the top of my couch is faded and the cushions have completely collapsed. It is very uncomfortable and unattractive. According to SquareTrade, if I spilled ketchup all over it, it would be covered, but fading and the structural failure of the cushions isn't. What a waste of money.
Initially I wrote a negative review on SquareTrade. But after a phone call from a Costco manager to SauareTrade they reversed their decision to not cover my TV and made good on the extended warranty. At first they offered a replacement TV worth less than half of what my TV cost but after talking with them and rejecting these TV's they came through with an identical TV. It shipped within a few weeks right to my front door. It did take some back and forth with them on the phone and emails but it paid off in the end.
This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. I had extended warranty with them, and when I called they could not find the warranty. The retailer called them and supposedly straightened it out, but when I called back they said they needed the original invoice, which I had sent. Then they said it takes 2 business days to receive the email. Meanwhile I have a broken refrigerator and no ability to get it fixed. Beware this company delays until you get it fixed without them so they don't have to pay. In short don't buy a warranty with them.

The worst experience i have ever had with squaretrade insurance its been a month or so my has lost her phone and they are dragging the case without no reason even she has submitted all the documents they needed she has done police report etc and put on long holds blaming to three that they didn't complete their documentation and three is blaming to squre trade and straight away they said we are not responsible for any thing and they deduct direct debit every month without given us what we want we have done all the documentation each and everything but they dont care …… actually they are scammers three and squaretrade both are doing scam just looting our money ……. Stay back fron them i suggest everyone take back your contract from them and stop be fooling us …. Disgusting they are …
I intended to trade my phone in through JB HiFi. No contact or instructions from SquareTrade after purchase of my new phone until an email today informing me the 28 day trade in time had elapsed and my credit card was debited without warning.
When I sought to correct it by asking how to send the old phone to them the same day, they refused and I was informed the case was closed.
Could not recommend this company's practices.
Square trade is a waste of time. Bought cover for an ipad only for them to say they havent got any information on my account. I spoke to 3 different people telling me different things and sending me on a goose chase. Do not waste your money or time with this company.
One month that I m waiting for them to process a lost phone in Marrakech! I paid 2 years insurance and now I had to buy another phone! Them with the three company are a scam!
In 2020 I purchased a night owl security system from Sam's Club, along with a warranty plan from Square trade for three years, after the manufacturer warranty expires, something they did not tell you on the pamphlet for your warranty is that it starts the day of purchase not once the manufacturer warranty expires. My night owl security system stopped working in November 2023, However, in my Square trade Allstate account the security system warranty was expired. So the policy would not cover the security system. So basically they cover one year at the same time the manufacture warranty covers, but does not allow claims if the manufacture warranty is still in effect, so the first year of your Square trade warranty is completely pointless. So I purchased a 3 year warranty that truly only covers two years And Not three years after the manufacture warranty expires. Complete waste of money.
They use old scrap parts to fix your tv from other damaged units. That eventually go out. Then they make you jump through hoops. 3 weeks, no fix no solution.
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
