We have to wait 2 weeks to get an assessor to come and asses our fridge. It doesnt work. Not good enough. Someone has to assess it and it has to be by one of their assessors. A mountain of excuses why Sooo much work! Or have assessors started their Christmas break early?
No customer service. No empathy. And...they don't care.
I asked to speak to a manager and the answer was: "They are on the phone. I will give them your number and they MIGHT call you back. I still have not heard from them.
The Good Guys were surprised at the lack of service. Square Trade is the new insurance people they are using as the other one was "really bad". There has been no change. This one is just as bad.
Stay away from Square Trade!
I purchased my washer four years ago. I bought the extended warranty Square Trade. I contacted the Company last Friday. I started this process at 4 pm. The first phone call took approximately 20 minutes. After getting all my information I was suppose to receive an email of wear to send my receipt for washer and policy. I waited 30 minutes no email. I called Square Trade a second time. I had to go through all the same questions and another 20 minute process. The only difference this time the agent offered the email address for me to send receipt in. The agent told me to wait 30 minutes for everything to load and then call back. I sent the receipt like I was supposed. I waited the 30 minutes. I waited and then called back. I gave all my information like I was supposed to. They started once again asking the same questions. Ok now I have had just about enough of this process. I asked to speak with a supervisor. I explained to him how long this process has been taking. He stated well I don't see your receipt that is why this taking so long. I said I sent that 45 minutes ago. I was very upset now. He said let me look for it. After sitting on phone for what it seemed 15 minutes he came back and said I found it. I said now can we get someone to fix my washer. I explained to him I already know what is wrong with the washer it is the springs worn out. He said well they will look at it and determine that. He scheduled me an appointment for Thursday between 12 and 5pm. The appliance repair man showed up was there for about 15 minutes. He pushed on the wash tub and said yep it's the springs. He did not have any on the truck. He said square trade will send the parts call and set up an appointment when they come in. It is now friday a week from my original call and I get an email from spuare trade stating they need to go over what the appliance repair man's note and will get back to us within few days. So looks like I get to be without a washing machine for another week because square trade needs time to think about it.
Square trade only communicates via emails as they do not wish to speak with claimants. Then when you call they blow smoke up your $#*!,make excuses to get your call ended. You never speak to the same person twice when you call and that person can not give you an answer. I bought a 58" RCA TV & extended Square Trade extended warranty from Walmart(Only choice you have). TV totally quit working after 2 1/2 years. Still fighting after 5 days to get any responses as to my claim. No responses to e-mails. I don't understand how Allstate can partner with such a horrendous outfit. Basically they get your money and screw you when you file a claim. Square trade does not want to part with one cent of your warranty money. Biggest scam on the planet. Sad as this is the first extended warranty I ever purchased in my 72 years on this earth. All Square Trade will do is blow smoke up your $#*! when you need them. Disgusting.
Two years ago, I purchased a 8x10 Colcoa rug from West Elm. They offered 3 year "insurance" coverage for $75 to cover accidental damage. I recently submitted a claim. It's quickly becoming apparent that, they will do everything possible to avoid taking responsibility in the hope that you will give up. First, it's hard to contact them. After a dozen tries of navigating their "press one for..." and multiple robo replies of "Sorry, I didn't quite get that", It says "try again later" and hangs up. After finally getting through & filing a claim on-line with multiple photos, they sent me a travel sized cleaning solution so I could clean the rug myself. This sells for about $5 on Amazon. When that didn't work and I requested a replacement, they asked for more photos. Now, they say someone will contact me about coming out to clean the rug. Before I remembered that I had this "insurance", I already received several rug cleaning quotes of $400+ due to the fact that this rug is 90/10 wool/cotton and prone to shrinking if not blocked. I am now waiting to get an appointment with their cleaning company. Silly me, I thought this "insurance" would offer the replacement mentioned in their policy. By the way, West Elm doesn't care either. Wish me luck.
Have files several claims. They always deny them. A big waste of money! I will never use them again. EVER! Customer service was a joke!
Been trying to get this matter resolved since June. One employee tells us one thing then another tells you something else. On Wednesday August 21,2024, I spoke with an employee named, Kemome, I said, the last response I got from Square Trade was almost a month ago when Square Trade replied saying our team is looking into this matter and will get back to you. I said, I think a month is enough time for a team to review our case and get back to us. She then asked, if she could put me on a brief hold I said, sure. When Kemome got back to me she said the case was with legal and someone from legal would definitely be getting back to us within one to two businesses days. At this point I asked her if this phone conversation was being recorded and she said, yes. I then said since this call is being recorded, I want to ask you again, will someone definitely be getting back to us within one to two business days, she again replied, yes. It is now Sunday night, August 25,2024, at 8:57 pm est and nobody has returned our call. Being that California has a law that prohibits unfair and unethical business practices, I believe it is now time for us to file a claim with the California Attorney General's Office.
This is by far the worst insurance company that I've ever came across in my entire life customer services zero all they do is promise to ring you but the neighbour do I paid my £200 fee to get my phone next day delivery? Now they're asking me to provide idiotic evidence to get my phone. I pay for lost stolen damaged a pay for everything for my phone to be covered, but I need to provide, evidence I'm currently I'm on holiday and I'm waiting for the phone calls in a hotel due to poor services They waited eight days for me to tell me what evidence I need to provide like a Ticket receipt evidence that I went to work any receipts that are purchased on that day close to work Stay away from them, rubbish rubbish, rubbish, scam, scam scam
They sell warranties for products through the major retailers and that's where the finger pointing begins. But the only finger you get is the middle one. Absolutely the worst company in the history of product warranty m.
They finally offered a substandard TV, then they got up to Sony, made believe it was shipped, it wasn't and lastly sent a nice Sony. Took a month and I bot a warranty on the new TV, directly from Sony, Ted
Have a Square Trade/Allstate warranty on my Sony TV bot thru ABT Electronics. Have done everything Allstate asked: called, sent photos, called again, sent more photos, called again and no resolution to problem, must be a scam company?
I purchased an extended warranty on patio furniture. The loveseat and a chair have the fabric come apart and SquareTrade will not honor the warranty. They say the fabric is ripped. It's not - it's a gradual separation (and one side is still together, but not for long. Total rip off. The pictures show it separating.
Purchase VIZIO TV from Walmart along with insurance thru Square Trade for 3 yr. On Feb 24,2023. On May 18,2023 the TV BLACKOUT and would not turn back on call talk to a Jeff at Walmart and was told since within the first year had to talk to manufacturer which they walk me thru the process to get the TV working. On June 24; 2024 called Allstate Square Trade due to Tv screen bottom half is all black. Received email the next day for pictures which I sent. The next day after was told need additional pictures of bottom right side of Tv. A day later the claim was denied saying I damage the Tv panel. The Tv was not damaged it hasn't been moved from the spot I first set it up. I told they the color lines on the screen started first from the very top of the tv and not from the side. They only offered to return the cost of the warranty. I ask them if I can take the TV to a local repair shop thru them but was told to verify the tv has not been damaged but was told it would be at my expense and couldn't say they would change their mind.PLEASE BEWARE THEY MAY CHARGE A SMALL PRICE AT PURCHASE BUT WILL FIND ANY EXCUSE NOT TO PAY WHEN THERE IS A PROBLEM.
I bought a 3 piece sectional sofa from big lots and also the protection plan for 3 pieces shortly after my cushions started splitting I called square trade and have gotten put off and runaround for 10 months.nothing but stall tactics

Are you looking for a headache-inducing, frustration-filled experience? Look no further than Square Trade Insurance. After my phone was stolen, I filed a claim with Square Trade on March 22nd. Fast forward to May 11th, and I'm still without a resolution. Two months without a phone in today's society is unthinkable, yet Square Trade has made it a reality.
Despite numerous attempts to follow up on my claim, I've been met with nothing but radio silence. Last week, I reached my breaking point and had to purchase another phone out of pocket because Square Trade's lack of action left me stranded and disconnected.
To add insult to injury, I lodged a complaint with Square Trade two weeks ago, and surprise, surprise – not a single call back to discuss it.
Save yourself the headache and avoid Square Trade Insurance like the plague. With their abysmal customer service and inability to provide timely resolutions, they're more of a liability than an insurance provider.
I feel sure if truth be known there are others that have been disappointed by Square Trade. Be sure you know all the details about coverage before purchasing. They would get 5 stars for being able to weasel their way out of covering a 248$ TV. UGH! Never Again!
Very dissapointing service!
I had GALAXY S22 ULTRA and ufortuanetly after 17months I broke the screen. I raised the claim with the SQUARE TRADE and I was advised that they don't have same device in stock to replace so I will have to wait up to 6 working days to recive the phone, as they need to order SAME device.
I accept the fact it will take longer than should but I was happy with the solution so I paid £99.
Few days later I received the phone which was SAMSUNG S 5 MINI. Feels like joke now! There is nothing even similar to what I had. I called SQUARE TRADE and I was advised I need to wait 48h for decision if I will get SAMSUNG GALAXY S22 ULTRA. VERY VERY VERY dissapointed with the service and mistake which they did sending me very poor old quality phone instead! I can't run my business with this device as I lost my 105MP camera and having 8MP now!
Bought a four year extended warranty from them on a tv purchased from Walmart. They have given runaround twice and this morning was chatting with someone and was told they could not do anything for me, try a different way! What way?

THE CHAINSAW WOULD NOT START. SPENT MANY HOURS AND EMAILS TO CONTACT SQUARETRADE BUT THEIR ONLINE REGISTER WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO ENTER THE SALES RECEIPT, THUS THE WARRANTY IS BEING HONORED, DID EVERYTHING THAT THE WARRANTY TECHS ASKED ME OVER AND OVER TO DO. MY WIFE SPENT HOURS ON THE PHONE PLACED ON HOLD WITH THEIR WARRANTY SERVICE DEPARTMENT. ALL THAT WE GOT WAS A ROUND CYLINDER UP THE YANG-YANG. This is one of the worst companies I have ever had to deal with in my 46 years of life. They don't care about their customer at all or provide a solution that's works for their customer only themselves. I wish there was an alternative to working with these people via Costco, Walmart and ATT. I really hate their service
The worst experience. They just ask a lot of questions and confuse people. And they give excuses not to pay. In the end you have nothing covered. According to your system, it is not covered. And you call and no one helps you.
I have been calling Square Trade for weeks now. To settle my claim, from furniture I purchased from Wayfair. Square trade made a mistake and gave me an E gift card which I specifically said I did not want in the first place! I do not want to purchase from Wayfair again! And I did not want to deal with this claim process again.Well Square Trade made a huge mistake and issued an
E giftcard anyway now thay can't reverse the mistake THEY made because they said the claim was already approved and processed. They did however own up to the fact that there was a miss communication and that I was completely miss informed that the reimbursement could be reversed to a check, WHICH IT CAN NOT!.so I was offered 150.00 because I was inconvenienced! This is totally unacceptable so I lost 353.00...I refuse to used this E gift card that I specifically said I did not want. This company WILL NOT fix their mistake and the call takers are not trained properly and obviously do not know their procedures and protocols so they just LIED to me instead! So me as a consumer has to sit and take this mistake that this company made! I refuse to let this settle! I will call back on Monday.im so glad everything is recorded because when this goes to court all the proof will be there. Be very very careful about claims im sure im not the only one this has happened too!
Answer: Company takes forever doing anything. Refuses refunding when it cant repair something and will make up an excuse to void the warranty.
