Not only did the employees not help in the store, but they should be a faulty item. When I tried to reach out to their customer service department it became even more frustrating. They wouldn't help or do anything to solve the problem. Instead of talking to me and trying to help, the customer service agent ignored me for 5+ minutes until I ended the chat. I will never stop there again.
I went to Spirit Halloween in Deland, Fl and the manager ordered me a Fox costome the week before Halloween. He told me that it would be in three days. On the forth day I call the online site and they told me I would get my costome that Wednesday after Halloween. The customer service lady said they would send one over night. The day of Halloween still know costume. Call and they told me i won't be until next week after Halloween. Very upset. Won't order again from this company and will refuse both costumes.
After ordering Halloween decorations from Spirit Halloween 6 days before Halloween with two day shipping, Spirit loses the package and doesn't get it to the USPS until October 30th for delivery in November. After being on hold for 45 minutes, Spirit would not refund the order because they think it is the USPS fault eventhough Spirit didn't get them the package for 5 days. Customer service was rude and unhelpful, especially the manager Frank. Their policies only benefit the company at the cost of the consumer. Why would they not refund the order for Halloween decorations, when they can't process it for 5 days in their warehouse? Why can't they refund the money when the consumer doesn't want the package after Halloween. The company is horrible to deal with and people should beware of Spirit. Going forward, Amazon, Target, Walmart, and Home Depot are all better options.
I payed extra for speedy Shipping but it was still late. When I finally received my package It had two tops and no pants. Don't ever order from Spirit if you want your order correct and on time. Also, their customer service if any, is a joke.
Spirit is the only place I ever buy Halloween items from, and I even use it for religious rituals. Their fabric is comfortable and their makeup is so great. I've only ordered once online but it was such a great experience. Spirit definitely has my business for years to come.
Bought a costume for Halloween, and when I opened it, to wear for my party, there were pieces missing, and pieces from other costumes. I paid $50 for this costume, that I couldn't wear. When I contacted the company, they asked me for pictures, which I provided. Then they informed me that I would have to pay to ship the incomplete costume back to them, and they could only issue store credit, and asked for a receipt. When I told them I no longer had the receipt, they ceased responding to my emails. Once I made a complaint about it publicly, on their Facebook page, they responded to my email, and still refuse to make this right. Do NOT buy a costume from this company!
Trick or Treat? I placed an order on 9/13/14. Both items were "In Stock" when I placed the order. Both had an estimated delivery date of 9/22. I received email notification from them on 9/18 that the cockroaches shipped but the jacked up jill decoration (the main item I ordered) had not shipped yet. When I received the cockroaches, the invoice in the box showed the jacked up jill was on "back order." On 10/15 I received email notification that my order was not cancelled and my order would ship out after the item I selected was processed and I would receive an updated email in 48 hours. The next update came on 11/4 stating the item was no longer availalbe and was cancelled. I guess I got the TRICK. If you actually want what you order, don't buy it from Spirit of Halloween.
The SpiritHalloween in downtown Chicago on E Addams Street is decent when it comes to selection. I'm guessing it will still be there even when other stores start putting away their costumes in favor of Christmas decorations just days before Halloween. However, the bag check in service at this particular store was pretty rude, this store would've gotten a much better rating if it weren't for the very rude costumer service at the bag check in station.

During Peak Season phone lines can be a little busy and we can be experiencing long hold times. However, we do have representatives that are on Live Chat and emails. If you ever need assistance you are able to reach us via Live chat, email, or phone. Our operation hours are listed on the site and we advise on wait time and allow for guest to leave their phone numbers for a call back. Wait time is low during our off season and there is a 1-2 min hold time at this time.
