I would have to say that I am highly disappointed in Spirit. I went to this store in hopes of finding a costume for both Halloween and a event that my husband and i are suppose to dress in a costume for. We go there , and we were lucky to find a very small handful of costumes that were in the plus size category. Meanwhile, the store was PACKED with tons of different costumes for the smaller size category . Big disappointment!
I guess I'm not the only with issues ordering the Funko Pop of the Sanderson sisters. I preordered it on 7/15 and then received an email at the end of August saying that per my request the order was cancelled. I never cancelled the order. I emailed them and they said there a glitch in the system and I could just reorder it. Well, it's sold out and they said there was nothing they could do. It's not my first time that an order was messed up because of a glitch in the system.
I had pre-ordered a Hocus Pocus pop figure and last night I'd received my package the day it said it'd be here. However when I opened it, they had given me the wrong Hocus Pocus pop figure even though the paper that came with it said it was supposed to be the Sarah Sanderson one. There's even a picture of the pop figure I wanted in my confirmation email. Whoever is in charge of packaging the orders REALLY need to pay attention.
I pre-ordered the Hocus Pocus Pop Vinyls over a month ago. Today, I received an email saying my order had been cancelled per my request. Upon emailing customer service, they claim the payment could not be processed and they cancelled the order. Advise customer service that there was more than enough funds to cover the $40 order and there were no attempted charges on my account. They said I would have to place a brand new order and wait even longer, but offered 20% off. I should have it by 10/31 they said. I ordered 7/13. I could make my own Pops by the time they get here. Over 3 months for an order is atrocious. Of course I reordered, because it's a gift. Not happy at all.
I made an online purchase of a clothing item that didn't fit. I wanted to just exchange it, but Spirit doesn't have an exchange process. You have to return it and wait for a refund. The problem was that they make returns a difficult and costly process because they purposely do not include any return shipping labels. I paid $6.99 for shipping to have the item arrive. To send it back for an exchange? $27. And these costs are not refundable. But b. S. because Spirit scams customers by making their return/exchange policy difficult and costly. Do not shop at Spirit Halloween, especially online. I will wait for my refund on my item and then purchase it from another retailer. This experience guarantees that my family will never again give Spirit our money. Lost loyal customer because of crap policy.
Don't shop here. They treat their employees awful. Their merchandise is over priced junk. Easiest place in the world to shop lift from and then blame their workers! Management makes promises they never deliver on.
I spent about $200, regular retail price, in this store only to get a coupon for 20% off my entire order a few days later. I phoned customer service and got a return email saying they would refund the difference straight into my account. They never did and now won't return my emails. This company is a scam and I will never shop there again.
I placed an order 3 and a half weeks before halloween for a women's mad hatter outfit. Paid $69.99 for outfit and like $30 for shipping. As halloween came closer i was losing hope but gave the benefit of the doubt. A week before halloween nothing here after i received an email saying that the status of my shipping was delayed and will be refunded for my shipping. (Pure LIE) they told me it would be there the 25th of oct by the latest. Still no sign after the 25th. 2days before halloween i rang and all i got was... "your order is out of stock" no explanation, no refund in my shipping. It is now the 23rd of november. I have emailed 5 times... no response. Messaged on facebook... no response and down $100. I will never and i mean ever order from them again. The worst customer service ive ever experienced in my life. And i never leave reviews this is my first. But i am so pissed off that this company is still running. They are an utter scam. Spend your money somewhere else, Because they are utter $#*!e.
I placed my order 15 September. It's now 20 November and I still don't have all of it. The items show as in stock on their website. I tried contacting them h s the online help chat, the person on the other end spelled my name wrong despite it being right there on the screen. I contacted them on Twitter it took two weeks for the initial response and ever since then I have been promised answers (and my stuff!) and had neither. I just had to open a PayPal dispute to try and get some of my money back.
I bought a few things there at the beginning of October and after putting these graves in my yard a few days later they were falling down (the part that is supposed to hold the stakes in the ground was defective and falling apart). I tried to just superglue it back together and few times and it kept happening. I finally decided to return them and get something else about mid October. I was told that they would not return it because it was used and that they wouldnt even give me store credit. I was upset because they cost quite a bit- about $45. One of the women behind the counter was extremely aggressive and rude to me. Also in my town they shut the store down immediately after Halloween so theres no way to take action against them. Worst shopping experience Ive ever had. Please dont shop here- we have to show companies like this that consumers wont support these unacceptable business practices. Amazon sells all the same items and probably at better prices - and they have the best return policy. Never shopping for Halloween items anywhere else again.
To those complaining about being SO SHOCKED that rules and policies apply to them... Let me reiterate what is on your own damn receipt. You have almost 2 months to shop with full returns. So many Halloween parties close to Halloween so of course there is a return limit date. It doesnt take rocket science to figure out why. Shop earlier next time. It's not our faults as cashiers. We follow policies given. Even if you weren't being so rude to us that we dont want to help you in the first place, we cant anyways. Our computer system doesnt allow it. Even managers cant. You're throwing tantrums at the wrong people.
Would not recommend them at all. Customer service is horrible. Return and exchange policy is a joke and if you try to call and speak to a manager they just hang up on you. The costumes are over priced and cheaply made. The buttons on my son's costume just fell off while he was trying it on. Will not ever shop there again
So i bought a $40 pilice officer costume size sm 3-4 for my 3yr old son who loves cops. On HALLOWEEN around 3pm i went to put it on my son. The custume was a size lg 12-14 i called spirit, they were Not helpful at all. Pretty much said oh well. That they will talk to there staff.
I will never but from SH again! After buying 4 childrens costumes for over $100 two days before Halloween, I have already had 2 of them rip and my kids haven't even had them on for 15 minutes. Then you can't return anything if it's after October 20th... no wonder why they do that. They know their costumes are crap and you're most likely not going to be wearing them until Oct. 31st or a few days before. You pay WAY TOO MUCH money for those costumes to just fall apart. I should've went to Wal-Mart like I usually do!
After ordering, almost a week later, I had not received any shipping notification & had to contact them. The customer service rep sounded hesitant & very unsure of herself, but proceeded to assure me that the costume was in stock & they would ship it over night delivery. To my disappointment I received a notification at 10pm that night that there was a warehouse "issue" and costume was sold out. It took them a week & a phone call to figure out their product was out of stock? All the while charging my card. BAD BUSINESS! This company is obviously unorganized, unreliable and dishonest. Dont waste your time using them... it stinks to have to tell your kid at the last minute, they are not getting the costume they wanted because some adults didnt do their job!:-(
Waited a week for 2 items that was supposed to shop express shipping and be there in 1 to 2 days. Called customer service and was assured that the items were in stock and would be shipped. 1 of the items finally arrived and was cheaply made and damaged\not made correctly\was dirty. The next day I received an email saying that they cancelled the order for the other because it was not "in stock." They also charged me full price on the item that shipped and not 25 percent off the promo code that I had put in.The item that was cancelled had also supposedly been in stock in the online several days after I ordered it as well. Ironically for all my issues I was given a 20% off coupon for 1 item. Never again!
I totally understand why stores do not except Halloween returns after October 31st. Spirit of Halloweens return policy is so ridiculous after October 24th you cannot return your items it is exchange only. No store credit nothing. Not only that there customer service is awful. Do not shop at this store it is just a big money grab.
I called customer service to ask a question about a return. I sat on hold for 26 min. Once it was my turn, I was automatically forwarded the computer system that I had to put my phone number in to get a call back. So I did that and it said I would be called back in 1 minute. I never got a call. Tried calling again and couldn't get through. I tried messaging them and got no response. By the time I did, I could no longer make the return. They have no sympathy/empathy for people. No willingness to help people, or understanding of life events that happen or willingness to accommodate you. I shop here every year for costumes and will not be back next year.
When I didn't receive an email that my order had shipped several days after ordering, I called & requested a call back which I was told it would be 20 minutes. They never called back. Two hours later I called them back, waited on hold for 27 minutes, only to be old, it would be shipped soon. When I still didn't receive notice of shipping a few days later, I sent an email, and got a canned response that my order was processing and would be shipped. I exchanged more emails, all assuring me that my order was processing. Finally after 12 days, I sent an email demanding answers, got a reply that my shipping was being refunded, and my order would be expedited only to get an email an hour later saying, "Sorry, we don't have that item anymore".
