I ordered the William Morris "Compton" duvet cover and pillow shams. They do not match.
The pillows have beautiful strong color & the cover is faded. I ordered a replacement for the cover thinking mine was a mistake, but the replacement was the same. After over a month of going back and forth, they are refunding my money. Just being able to talk with someone on the phone would have saved me a lot of grief.
It's been over 60 days since I placed, and paid for my order. There's no way to contact them in regards to this. Very disappointing.
Society6 took money out of my bank account which I did not authorize. Don't buy from them. They are very dishonest
I can't say enough about this site. I am addicted. It would be nice to know ahead of time which items may be charged duty, but it's never been cost-prohibitive, so I am not overly concerned by that. I have ordered phone cases, travel mugs, carry-all cases, blanket, pillows, notebooks, masks... I said I was addicted, right! Very happy with the quality, and the service of everything I've ordered so far.
I bought some towels, they crossed the ocean and they arrived pretty quickly. The towels reflect the image on the site and from the video it was also clear the material and how they were made. I really like the idea of personalizing objects for home and office through the creativity of different artists. Very original and unique. The customer service is very fast, they replied by email immediately and kindly. I really like the towels and they have given a 70's touch to the bathroom!
I'm disappointed to be writing a negative review after being such a loyal customer for years but I have nowhere else to turn. I ordered two pieces of framed artwork and what was delivered was not the artwork I ordered. No biggie. Mistakes happen. My frustration is that no one from Customer Service has responded to a single one of my messages. It's been over a month and I haven't received what I paid for or a refund and no one from this company seems to care. It's a shame for me because so much of my decor and artwork is all from Society6 and I can't imagine doing business with this company ever again after being so blatantly ignored.
They fixed their error but some things were still fishy like the CSR i was talking to becoming a supervisor all the sudden from yasmine to jasmine? Chances are very low.
I ordered framed pictures, stickers and cards. The print on the stickers is blurry and unreadable. The cards look like photos of photos of photos with cheap graphics imposed on top. My home computer has better quality and it's a cheapie, and when the cards are folded on the crease line, they are crooked and the white cardstock on the back requires trimming. The envelopes that came with the cards is also the lowest quality envelope available. The framed artwork is for my laundry room, so I'll keep it, but again the quality is muted and poor. I have not been able to enter feedback for any of my items, so I don't trust the raving reviews on the site. I'm working on getting a refund for the stickers and cards.
Before you order a seasonal item, beware that you may not receive the item in time to use it for the holiday. They have a 10 timeline... I am sitting on day 20
I ordered 4 different (vintage) surf photos. I expected then to be reprints from a large format camera. Instead, looks like they were from a (non professional) personal camera. No detail in the photos, very fuzzy. Don't waste your time and money. There's a reason you can't enlarge them from the website!
I placed my order and when I recieved an email telling me my order was shipped, my unit number somehow did not make it on to the shipping lable so I had to track and intercept the package myself to catch it before it was returned as undeliverable. They gave me a tracking number and that was the extent of their 'customer service'.
I wont be ordering through this site again. Shipping aside, the hidden costs are atrocious.
When I logged on, these pillows were advertised at $18 each. Everytime I logged in again, the price went up by a few dollars. Even after placing my order, the price shot up again during the checkout process. And the again after the USD/CAD conversion. Then I had to pay a COD charge at the post office on top of that.
$200 for 4 small pillows at the end of the day. Quality is... mediocre.
Do yourself a favor and pay a higher price for something local. Will still be less expensive!
Never again!
I ordered a print for a friend for Christmas, in plenty of time. 2 days before, I received my order, only it was a stupid numerical chart (see photos below). I submitted a complaint which was bounced around from person to person. They agreed to send the correct print. It arrived a couple of days ago. There is a large grease print at the top of the print. The quality of the print is poor, it looks like a photo copy. Obviously I can't frame this. Plus I got hit for a $15 duty charge before I could even receive the print. Obviously I wouldn't have paid this had I known the print was damaged. My emailed complaint seems to have gone to several different people offering me discount coupons. Apparently the cost of the print will be refunded to me, but not the shipping or the duty charge. What a total waste of money and time. Don't bother ordering from this place. If I'd seen all the bad reviews, I wouldn't have.
My husband and I thought Society6 would be a good place to start with selling our photography. After many many hours of carefully submitting to our new society6 account, we were ready to start letting people know that we were "out there". As a trial, we ordered a set of stationary cards from ourselves. They came today. They are completely generic. Our photo on the front, printed on regular card stock paper, creased but not prefolded. Two of the three cards were creased in the wrong spot so they folded with white showing on the edge. Also, 2 of them were bent on the edges. No print of any kind to say who the artist is, where it came from, nothing. We could print these cards at home. Deactivated our account immediately. I'm actually glad no one bought anything now that we know the quality. If the little cards were this bad, I'd hate to see the big art prints and framed art. And, after over a week, when searching for our items, we couldn't find any of it unless we put the actual image name in (and we are the only ones who would have that info). Pages and pages and pages of some photographer who doesn't even have an active account. His listings take up the majority of the first 20 pages of searching for landscape and nature photography. Bummer.
There is a reason why the reviews are nowhere to be found on the site (or atleast not in an accessible place) - the site is a major rip off, borderline scam.
I mean 49.99US is already a lot of money for a shower curtain but once you convert into Canadian dollars and add on the $20+ shipping charge (on a item that weighs less than 2 lbs!?!?), it becomes an $80 shower curtain. Since I couldnt find anything like what I thought I was getting on society6, i debated for a few weeks then finally made the purchase.
Took about 2.5 months to arrive. But even though I was home all day I still reciever only a note saying (by the senders request) that I go pick up the thing at the post office, at which point they charged me an additional $20.
I've included a photo of what $100 canadian will get you at society6 (not the worst but still so cheap), I expected a thicker, more well made piece - not sure if its visible in the pick but the holes for the rings are basically just cut out slots, the curtain hanging as if for dear life... I shudder to think how long it will last.
Oh and i want to mention the smell. Here I sit in my washroom, 2 days after finally getting my cheap as heck shower curtain with no rings, and no liner, just breathing in the chemical fumes the piece of garbage has been providing, it still reeks of rubber or plastic or some kind of chemical I'm not familiar with.
100% regret buying form this place.
Oh wait I also complained to the company where they told me I could get some of my money back! But then was immediately dismayed as they are ONLY reimbursing the last charge of $20, and by reimburse what they meant was 'store credit'. Pretty sure I wont be using that but THANKKKS.
I've been purchasing items from Society 6 for a few years now with no issue. But this year, for some reason, they shipped my 5 items seperatly and had to pay individual shipping for each item, which did not happen before. In addition, I had to pay a 10$ handeling fee for each pacakge! So in the end, I spent 150$ USD on merchandise, 44$ USD of shipping fees, 12$ CAD of duties (which I was aware of) and 50$ CAD of custom handeling fees. So Canadian customers, be aware of this when you place your next order!
We ordered the wrong product on accident, and we inquired about an exchange, and got back to us right away and made sure we get the one we need. Thank you!
They boast an easy return policy and 24/7 customer service. I was shipped someone else's order and it has been days of waiting for someone to contact me. They promise a response in 24 hours. If you look at the comments below their photos on instagram its literally just people having the EXACT same issue as me trying to get help. Some that have had a request for help in for MONTHS. Their cusomer service is a scam and doesn't exist. DO NOT SHOP HERE.
I am in an endless nightmare trying to return a print. Each time I complete their return form n submit I'm told to submit to a different address then that address is invalid. Don't put yourself thru this he'll... buy elsewhere!
I placed an order on 12/2/20. As of 12/14/20, I have only received a confirmation email, on 12/2/20, stating that my order is in production. I have emailed their help center, four times now, which says they are open 7 days a week & will answer all requests within six hours. I finally received a reply, stating that, in fact, my order was checked upon and it is showing "in production". Further in the email, it states that production takes 3-5 business days and then will take 5-10 business days for delivery. I placed my order on 12/2/20. It has been NINE BUSINESS DAYS and it's STILL in production. I was also told that if I don't receive my item by 12/22, to contact them again. Is my order actually being produced? They had no problem immediately withdrawing full payment from my account on the same day I placed my order. I paid for it 14 days ago and can barely get a reply from your customer service, much less an actual update on my order, besides what I could already see - that's it's "in production", which is less than helpful, especially with the timeline THEY laid out in in the SAME response email, concerning production & shipment & that I'm well past that. I wish I would have read other reviews prior to orderiing.
I ordered a small art print on October 15th and it seemed to be taking a while to get here, but I thought that was fine at first because I live in Canada and shipping usually takes longer here. However I kept checking the tracking, and by October 29th it had reached Melrose Park, Illinois, and then the updates just stopped. On November 26th, the tracking finally updated and it said it was lost, so I contacted society6. They quickly sent me a replacement, but it never arrived at my house - instead I got a "addressee was not home, pick up at post office" card, even though I was home at the time they said they delivered it. I don't understand why they couldn't just have left it at my door like any other package. (the slip said that identification of receiver was requested by seller, so this is society6's fault, not Canada Post's.) So I finally picked it up today (December 8th) and I had to pay an extra $17 in customs, which is ridiculous for a print that only cost $20.99 in the first place. I was not aware there were going to be customs on it and if I was I would not have ordered the item. Very annoyed and disappointed with the whole experience, as the print was from a favourite artist of mine and I'd like to continue supporting them, but I will not be ordering from society6 again.
Answer: The pricing on our site is listed USD. I hope this helps!
Answer: All of our products are produced on files supplied by independent artists. If the file is too small, it may look bad on orders. Please reach out to our customer service team and they can advise if it may be a production issue. https://society6.com/help/contact
Answer: Please reach out to our customer support team and they will be happy to assist you with any returns.
Answer: I'm sorry for the delay responding to you on this. Unfortunately, we're unable to charge import taxes before hand. So you would have to cover duties since the shipment would be coming from the United States. I would definitely recommend checking with Canadian Customs to see what the requirements are for charging duties and break your order up into smaller orders. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to our Customer Support in the link at the top of our SiteJabber Page.
Answer: Hi Christine, Thank you so much for reaching out. I'm going to investigate and follow up with you via email in just a few minutes.
