Original booking included checked baggage. Issued ticket did not include checked baggage. I had taken screen shots showing that checked baggage was included. SmartFares tried to get me to accept half the cost of the checked baggage. I refused and SmartFares eventually fully covered the cost of checked baggage.
Waiting to see that the Economy Fare, which includes one checked bag, is honored for this flight.

The whole process was very simple and prices were great. I was a little concerned when the first email arrived saying that this didn't completely confirm my booking until the airline issued the tickets, which would be within 24hrs (72 on weekends). However, I received an email around 20 minutes later to confirm.

My experience was horrible! The two customer reps that attended to stressed the heck out of me. They tried stealing from me but God was on my side that I didn't succumb to their exploitation.

The personal data setup and pay process could have been easier. Initially there is no phone number but when I tried to complete the process I got an error message saying that I needed to provide a phone number which, upon returning, now appeared. Also keying payment data was cumbersome

I had to request for my booking confirmation code seperately instead of receiving it with the confirmation email.
The second confirmation email also took long to come. All of this caused me a lot of anxiety.
Was super easy to book. A little worried about any check in times as i havent received an email since and my flight is tomorrow.

Compramos vuelos que coincidan con el presupuesto que disponÃamos para los aéreos. Cuando nos comunicamos con la esta empresa para confirmar la reserva; nos dicen que tenÃamos que pagar 600dolares mas por el impuesto (Púa) para el ingreso a Brasil. Este impuesto no se informa en ningun momento en la compra.
Hicimos el reclamo y la verdad que la asistencia de la chica que nos atendió fue excelente. Gracias a ella pudimos terminar la compra. Desconozco si ese impuesto es real o no pero la asistente nos dijo que era obligatorio.Gracias Leticia por tu amabilidad.

If you are buying from Canada and your search is in CAD (or maybe any other currency but US dollars)you will pay more then advertised price. In our situation we've paid 60US$ each way in total 120US$. It was still cheaper then anything else.In November I booked a flight to London with them, similar situation they called me asking for more money because apparently there was an issue with Portrer (Transat flight). I cancelled and bought directly from Transat without any issues with Porter.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
