I'm a bit disappointed that the price advertised was about £20 less than what I actually paid. I understand the fluctuation in exchange rates but Im sure there's the technology to update prices in real time.
I purchased seats in the app where the airline includes them when booking business. Not happy about the money spent but I don't want to "fight" on the phone.
Same as all the other low cost websites. If it works. It's great if it there is an issue or you need to call someone good luck. You can't really do anything on their website for changes and wait times are insane. So gotta role the dice.

Booking with a third party shouldn't restrict the ability to do on-line check-in. This is a major issue. Please facilitate and create a way to overcome this.

I found excessive additional costs for flexible tickets, booking seats, luggage etc. And then I was still charged R200 extra for 'currency conversion charges'.
Unauthorized used of my credit card to purchase travel insurance for me without my consent
More money than quoted for the flight was debited from my account. This is fraud. I had to log a dispute with my bank.Thr case is still under investigation.
I booked return flights for a conference on smartfares and received a confirmation email and code for smart fares as well as the airline code. I aimed to confirmed a few days below the flight and was told that one of the flights had not gone through. They say they called, and i have no evidence of that. They sent no email. Now that I have made contact they have charged me an additional $600 dollars. I am travelling for a work conference, had received a confirmation and the charge went through. I cannot understand why I wasn't contacted. Now on the phone with Damon I was told that some services were down, that there was no one else to talk to and that they would contact me (with no trace of irony after their total failure to contact me). For the now cost of this trip I could have flown far more comfortably, booking through the airline. Absolutely terrible experience. Ultimately they have booked me on the same flight for a huge amount extra despite the reason given for the failure at booking being that the service requested (understood as specific flight) was not available. And yet they could book me on the same flight. The service requested was a lite ticket with no checked bags - now I can check bags... how is it possible that the issue was that there were no seats without extra bags available but a seat with extra bags was available. I will be in contact again as I totally don't trust that smart fares will. Really feels like a scam.
I didn't fly yet, when I will done I can leave review. Buying tickets was good enough!

Overall good experience and efficient process, maybe could improve a little with more clarity on instructions on the website
Answer: Smartfares! They will offer a deeply discounted airfare and send you a confirmation number to your email. The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. When you call them back, they will try to sell you another flight at a much higher price. SCAM SCAM AVOID!

Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
