I bought my tickets in a price, two days after was asked for an extra fee which I disagree to pay because I don't think it is appropriate to sell something at a price and then ask for more money, it is actually a very bad practice and kind of dishonest.
I called and was told I will receive a refund but the charge was 50 dollars which is also unacceptable, then I was told the refund would be for the full amount but didn't get either refund or confirmation.

I am beyond disappointed. I booked my first flight with SMARTFARES from Madrid to SriLanka because the rate was really good. I bough 4 tickets, for my husband, my 2 kids and myself. I got an email saying that the booking had to be confirmed from the airline. I never received a confirmation email from the airline. It's been 5 days and SMARTFARES hasn't follow up, hasn't giving me any option, any security that they will refund the money…. I am FUMING. Why do you put this cheap fares if you have not confirmation from the airlines? If you don't refund me the money I am going to sue you so badly.
When I was done with the booking, I was asked to choose one of the various booking sites and options, when I chose this site, I paid close to R2000 more than the displayed fare. It was really misleading and unfair as the flight was displayed for one amount and then I paid 15% more than displayed. I felt cheated and wish hidden fees were displayed for me to choose. Else I would have booked right from the airline itself.

Tried your ai chat which gave me inaccurate info, and wantezmd to charge an extra 50 dollars to change my name on reservation. Human agent told me my concern about including my middle name on reservation was not necessary. Note: i payed an extra fee on ticket to allow me to bring on plane a carry-on bag, but I see nothing about this in confirmation email, which i just found in spam folder.
I was able to complete my entire booking for 2 passengers on a single page. No wading through page after page of upselling and options. Thank you.

The next day you will receive an email to call them immediately because they were unable to confirm your flight. Answer: Yes. They stated because of flight increase they canceled my flights. Then they wanted me to pay a balance of what the new increase was. So disappointing. I paid for four fares. They took the funds from the bank n then canceled my flights.
