Started off great, they were able to make up prescription sunglasses for me, even though i have a astigmatism. Paid, waited patiently. Glasses arrived was very happy, until the Oakley sign feel out of its insert to which i noticed (FAKE) poor quality frames. I have another pair of Oakley's which are over ten years old and still have the Oakley sign inserted into them. Made the complaint was told to send them back, to which i asked how long this would take?, no answer just send back. So why must i send them back and wait with no glasses for them to then send me the genuine/real glasses. Why not send them the first time and why not say to a unhappy customer we (Smartbuysunglasses) will send the replacements first then ill send the defects back then. Will not recommend this company to anyone.

The frames sent to me were not the ones I had selected. They are close, even attractive, but not the same. I have kept them because I feel I can make them work, when I get my prescription filled in them.

Please cancel my order an provide a full immediate refund. This is the second time you guys have done this to me what an inconvenience I tried to give you guys a second chance but once again you screwed up my order. You don't even have the customer service to initiate contact with me after you deceived me into purchasing an item twice now your website says you have in stock. I have to sit here wondering. I purchased the Ralph Lauren RL6135-5003 - size 54 | Frame Only. After several weeks of waiting, they finally emailed me with the following message:
"There has been a delay in restocking this item. It may take 1 to 2 weeks before arriving at our distribution centre. Our sincere apologies for any inconveniences caused. We recommend changing to the following hand-picked in stock alternatives with a 5% discount."

My view is when doing an honest business, you never ever give assurance to your customer when you knew that you can't deliver it! Online, it was indicated that the item is in stock' and that the item will be delivered within 5 business days. That's a big lie. You dont have the item but you claimed that you do have it in stock! When in fact you dont! I read loads of bad review about the SmartBuyGlasses! They have now cancelled my purchase and informed me that my refund is on its way. I hope i really will get a full refund. Otherwise, i will not hesitate to lodge a police report and file a complaint with the International Consumer of Product. I am a genuine buyer and too bad, you have lost my trust.

I bought a pair of sunglasses which says "in stock" on their website. The money was taken out of my bank account. I was under the impression that everything's ok. I waited. Then, I thought of following up after several days, just to find out from "Camille" that the item is out of stock, and that they have discontinued my order without even advising me of what happened. If I didn't follow up, who knows how long I'm gonna be waiting for nothing!?!

She apologised for the inconvenience and offered me a 5% discount on my next order. I said I prefer to proceed with the cancellation process. She said, she'll send a confirmation email right after our chat, but it didn't happen. I had to message her again before I got the said email in my Inbox. The reason why I messaged her again was because I thought of just changing my order, as what my partner has suggested. She replied saying she'll be happy to assist me. Then, I said I suppose she hasn't processed my cancellation yet since I haven't received any confirmation email yet. Then, I told her I happened to like a new item on the link that she sent me but wanted to make sure that the said item is really in stock. I asked if she could help me, then she didn't answer anymore. After about 5 minutes, I got the confirmation of the cancellation of my order. I sent her few more messages but she never replied anymore. Now, I just hope I'll get my money back in sonest possible time.

Value your customers 'coz without them, you wouldn't have a business!

Shipping so slow

Shipping so slow. The "2-3 days shipping" on the item page is a lie. I ordered on this page as I need it soon but after 4 days, it was not shipped yet, and I could not get it before I need ti. So disappointing. If you can't deliver within 2-3 days then don't write it on the page! And there's no way to complaint or communicate with customer services directly on their website.
I sent email to complaint and then it is shipped 1 hour later with the package number that has NO RECORD on the post tracking website. Another lie.
It's a very disappointing experience, full of lies.

Ordered a pair of Oakley Bottle Rocket Sunglasses in March 2020 and they were shipped from Hong Kong even though the Oakley box they came in says assembled in the US, whatever that means. The site says 11-5 business days for shipping but it took over three weeks or 16 business days. The order says free shipping but then you get an email saying you will have to pay the DHL fees which was $50.00 and to submit the receipt for reimbursement which made me nervous. I clicked on their "shipping information" link and sure enough in the details it says international customers will have to pay all duties and taxes but will be reimbursed in a timely manner upon emailing receipt. In my case this was completed as stated so I was pleasantly surprised.

I also ordered the identical pair from the Sunglass Hut and I cannot tell the difference between the two. Do I know for sure they are not fakes? No. Do I know for sure Sunglass Huts are not fakes? No.

When I first checked the Smartbuyglasses.ca site, which I used because they had a lot of sunglasses that had a virtual try-on which works quite well IMO, I got a price for the Oakley Bottle Rockets of $207.00 CAD, which was more than the Oakley site or Sunglass Hut at $191.00 CAD. Then I searched Google for Oakley Bottle Rockets and got a link to Smartbuyglasses.ca for $167.00 CAD, so a little strange. So I took the chance at saving a measly $24.00 CAD, probably not the smartest thing I have ever done, but I had not seen this site yet with all of the negative reviews. Had I seen this site I probably would not have risked it. Then the next day the Sunglass Hut website had the Bottle Rockets on sale for 30% off or 133.00 CAD plus tax or in my case $156.00 CAD total.

Hence my conclusion. Why bother. Probably not worth the risk as some people here say they got fakes or didn't get reimbursed for the duties and fees. You decide.

My product arrived to the US from China on the date the tracking said it would. The Tom Ford sunglasses appear to be authentic, but the case was a knock-off. I've purchased this model four times and most recently from Nordstrom's and compared them. I contacted SmartBuyGlasses about the case not being authentic or original and they told me that the cases are not included in their authenticity guarantee and then continued to say they stood buy their "authentic products" yet only offered a 5% discount for the fake case or to return the sunglasses.

They are scams! I sent back the glasses and they never gave me the refund, they are delaying and giving excuses, they mention refund is made in 5-7 working days, it's already 10 days and I got nothing back! I keep sending emails and they don't send the money

Horrible service

I have ordereded the glasses from India as the website shows co.in Its a fraud. They ship from Hongkong and it took almost 2 months for me to get my glasses and they are Prada. The quality is horrible... the size they show is wrong... and now they do not even respond to repeated emails for refund. Its as bad as the service can get and I would have got good branded glasses for the same money in India in any store easily. Its just for convenience I chose this and these people are such irresponsible cheats. DO NOT EVER buy from them. Its a total fraud and now I had spent 20k rupees and no way of getting any of it back.

Scam!

I ordered a pair of cazals, it never arrived! Called them and just got excuses, emailed them and got the run around. Tried and tried to reach them for over a month. Once they realize they already gave you the run around once or twice, they stop picking up your calls! Called them from my wife's phone and they picked up, soon as I gave them the order number they put me on hold and never came back on. Tried calling back no answer! This went on for a little while and the email correspondence was just geared to have you submit your proscription and face measurements over and over. Finally got wise and realized I was being scammed! I called my bank and reported it as a scam! My bank investigated and agreed it was indeed an online scam, as no services are provided for money collected and got me my money back! All these people and same experiences. How long will we let this website of scammers keep doing this to people? Somebody should do something and really $#*! them down!

Going to clarify my original review. I first have 100% proof of all docs, sent in my glasses with my RMA number and conversations and they ignore me fully.

This all started in April or so, I emailed and asked hey can you make me a new pair of glasses, the same as they made in 2018. The rep emailed me back an RMA#. I did not ask to return the 2018 glasses, I stated I want a new pair from you. She noticed her issue and we proceeded to place a new order.

Got the new glasses, there was an issue, no worries so I emailed for an RMA number. A new rep sent me an RMA#, turns out it was the same one they used in May during my first contact with them when they made the mistake of a return even though I wanted a new pair. Since then they will not refund me and kept telling me I sent in the return with an OLD RMA number. They sent me the same RMA number in AUG as they did by mistake in May. Not my fault, I did as the asked, tracked it, they have it and even sent me an email stating they did. They still will not refund. I did nothing wrong and followed all rules and used the AUG RMA#.

First, after ordering these glasses for my husband, they told us because of his perscrption we had to pay another $119.00. Even though his perscrption is barely a perscrption at all. Like I'm talking about the fact that he has almost 20/20 vision and we were more or less wanting them for bifocals. But no explanation. Okay paid the additional amount. Then the glasses took forever to come, again no explanation along the way. Then when finally we got them, the perscrption was completely wrong! Seriously bad company. Expensive and not legit obviously!
