We purchased our queen mattress 6 years ago. We loved it! Then the pump went. Called customer service and they sent out a service guy. He said we need a new pump and that customer service would call and arrange it. They did, with a price tag of $200 (wow what a warranty) but whatever we need the pump so okay please order it. 3 weeks later no pump arrives so I check my credit card and there is the charge, so I call the customer service # and they inform me that these pumps are on back order and have been since last February. So, the girl tells me I have to pay for the pump and then I will be added to the back-order list with no ETA. None?!?! They have no idea when they will be available to ship. (You know the same BS chain supply issues) Now paying $200 already had me irked but paying $200 for something that I might not receive for a year (again she had no clue and couldn't even guess) I ask what else we could do, and she told me "You can buy a new 360 mattress" WHAT!?!?! I guess I will be purchasing a new mattress, but it certainly will not be a sleep #
Long time customer, 20 years+. First bed was outstanding. One problem with the air pump. Immediately came out and repaired. Many years later, saw an ad for one that had independent controls. Worst decision ever. New bed was fine - for about a year. The California King split mattress began separating in the middle. I called "customer service" they had two "technicians" come out - at a cost to me only to say the mattress cover had stretched and would need to be replaced - for a cost to me if almost $400. I asked about the supposed 10 year warranty? They said it mostly went away after a year. I was getting the "wholesale" price for the covers. I asked if they would guarantee it wouldn't happen again? They said no. Called everyone I could but to no avail. Ended up buying a new conventional California King and used the old foundation. Older couple in the bedding store was also looking for a replacement if their failed Sleep Number bed. Pitiful...
WE PURCHASED OUR MATTRESS AS WELL AS THE MECHANICAL BED FRAME, AND ABOUT TWO WEEKS LATER, WE DECIDED, NEITHER OF US, COULD GET A DECENT NIGHT'S SLEEP...
THEN WHEN WE WANTED TO RETURN IT, ALL HELL BROKE LOSE AND THEY WANTED TO CHARGE ME AN ADDITIONAL $250.00 TO REMOVE IT, AND THEN THEY WOULD TAKE BACK THE ADDITIONAL HARDWARE, THE TILTING MECHANISM WAS NON REFUNDABLE, SO BUYING AND RETURNING THE MATTRESS COST ME $4600.00 ADDITIONAL.!
DO NOT BUY THESE BEDS, UNLESS YOU ENJOY SLEEPING ON A BLOW-UP MATTRESS AND THEN TAKING A LARGE CHUNK OF FUNDS OUT OF YOUR WALLET AND THROWING IT AWAY,,, BECAUSE THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED TO ME!
GIVING IT 1 STAR, IS A COMPLETE OVERSTATEMENT!
The in store staff was phenomenal and so was customer service online. I am however extremely displeased with the company themselves. They advertise a money back guarantee within 100 days of service but don't tell you about the $500 dollars you have to pay for pickup and delivery that is non refundable. They also don't tell you about the shipping and handling that you are accountable for. We went in to the store hoping we found a bed that would work. Wound up having to take out a $3000 loan and put $800 down on top of it and by the end of all the fees after we returned a bed that didn't work we wound up owing $280 to our loan and no money back in our accounts. This loan is continuing to accrue interest because of the hidden fees. So when it comes down to it we are still paying $1000 on a bed we don't even have.
I've had a Sleep Number bed for the last 20 years and its been the best sleep of my life. Unfortunately, my mattress split apart from wear and tear and I ordered a new one. When the delivery person came, he immediately said, "That's not going to be able to get up the narrow stairs". I asked him to try because the moving got my old Sleep Number up the stairs. It does take strategy and with thinking it through it can work. They tried and said they can't do it. Ok I do get that part but what I heard after that was NO NO, NO from three customer service reps and two more NO's from the delivery team. They wanted nothing to do with trying to help. I asked them if they could take the base apart and that I can't be the only person having this problem. They said no...I could upgrade to a King which comes in two pieces or a split Queen which did not have adjustable base. I am so disappointed in the company. They weren't like this 20 years ago. The idea of searching for another bed that can be as comfortable is heart wrenching for me. Unfortunately, I can't recommend this company sheerly based on the customer service experience I had today.
The company delivered the bed without having the proper equipment. They sent in an order for the equipment and scheduled an appointment a week out. We received text messages and emails stating the day and time window. We scheduled out day around this window. The company in Austin decided to change that window wihout ANY notice prior to the day. Nobody was home as this WAS NOT the window scheduled. We suffered as they refused to make it right!
I called 800 number. No results. Then I got onto online chat. Female directed me to a male, Nathan as I had wrong person. My remote kept saying Connectivity Error. On remote I could not get it to work. Changed batteries which I had done 4 months ago.
Not that. I want to tell Nathan I found error myself. After 20 attempts unplugging and my hand flowing cord under the bed. My last attempt I felt under the bed to a raised square item. Edge of my mattress cover was over it. Pushed it back and said Binder is cleared. Bed is back ans Remote works. Last night. 11/12/2022. I am 87.
No Lower Back Support at All
Worst experience ever. I was having horrible lower back problems as soon as I laid on the mattress. There is no lumbar support at all. Called customer service to return it. Instead of just accepting my request their sales associates repeatedly tried to upsell me on adjustments that would supposedly help my back but of course for more money. When my request for a refund was finally accepted I was told there was also $250 installation fee and a $250 return fee that would be subtracted from the refund. Neither of these fees were disclosed prior to purchasing. So essentially a $777 purchase was reduced to a $267.77 refund. I would not recommend getting a bed from Sleep Number and I am honestly disappointed at the lack of transparent business practices.
Since I have a King Split Twin. I can only purchase a Twin Chamber set. I only need one... You can't order one Separately.
Worst customer experience of my life. Will not ever do business with them again. They treat you like you are an inconvenience once they have your money.
6-week delivery time. Delivery driver gives no notice, waits 3 min and drives away. Now 2 more weeks
I misunderstood the fine print about the warranty. I called told them one side of the bed is sinking completely they tried to talk me through fixing the bed and it didn't work. I asked for a tech to come out to help (since it's supposed to be a long warranty) they told me they'll charge me 150-200$ for them to come out. My bed is just about a year old. No mattress has these issues. One side sinks COMPLETELY the other side hard as a rocks. And I have to pay more money after what $4000 after a year?!
While our Sleep Number bed has been great, when our pump broke, the bed became useless. We ordered a new pump and were told that the product would ship within 4-7 days. Ten weeks later, we are still without a pump. Repeated phone calls to customer service at Sleep Number have been useless. They claim "supply chain issues" and "waiting for a microchip" as reasons for the delays, but no one has been able to even tell me when the pump might appear. What good does a 25 year mattress warranty do when you are unable to find a replacement pump? I would never buy a bed from Sleep Number again for this reason. If they change pump models, and you are stuck with an old pump, your bed may become unusable.
Bed is great for the 1st year or 2, but if anything goes wrong you are then responsible for buying the replacement parts. So much for a 15/20 year warranty, such a $#*!ty policy, just puts more money in the owner(s) pockets.
I got this product 3 nights ago. Could. Not. Get. Comfortable. I tried resetting to find a better number. I tried the number they recommended in the store. I didn't sleep at all the first 2 nights. By the 3rd night I was dreading that bed. I took a sleeping pill and chased it with Liquor, and hallelujah, I finally slept for 8 glorious hours, except when I got up I could barely walk from my lower back pain. I went back to the store to return this monstrosity and was told I have to wait until Monday to call the customer care hot line. I cannot believe the nerve of this company. Was also told they will want me to keep it for 30 nights before returning as I need to "get used to it" No. I don't need to get used to it. I need a mattress that works for me. I would literally rather sleep on a sleeping bag on the floor than this product.
I have had the bed for a number of months the underbed lighting comes on in the middle of the night, I turn it off and it comes on when I am in bed, sleepnumber tech support had me unplug it and plug it back in. It worked for a little while then started up again, I got tired of unplugging and plugging in the bed; after calling again I had to argue for 40 minutes to get a tech to come to the house to fix the sensor it took another 6 minutes to get a tech scheduled. Hopefully the problem gets fixed
My dream bed was always a sleep number. But I want to tell anyone that tries to purchase one. Don't! I've had nothing but trouble with that bed. Customer service sucks. Continue to send wrong parts. And charge me for them. And refuse to do a refund. I could go on and on about this company. But just know if you buy a bed from now you will regret it. 100 words is not enough time to explain to you how bad my experience has been. I wish to God I never walked into that store and purchased a bed. I have not had a good nights sleep since I bought it. The bed keeps deflating and when they give you a timeframe. They do not honor it. Please be mindful of who you buy bed from. Everybody does not have money to waste. I'm supposed to have one of the good bed. It sucks! Customer service sucks more. I wish I had a read the reviews before I purchased my bed. You can buy a bed off Amazon and get the same reaction. Sleep number sucks!
The bed is a glorified air mattress. The customer service from Terry at the Geneva location and the women that works there is horrible. They do not return calls. When I bought it, Terry said the only dollars I would be out if I returned the bed was the $250 delivery fee. Then he remembered that was waived for Memorial Day and I would be out nothing. This was important to me as I had not shopped around yet and would not have bought without further research. He said why not try it since I'd get a full refund and not lose on a delivery fee due to the Holiday. Now I find out there is a return fee of $250. When I told him I'm disappointed that he did not volunteer this information to me, he called me a liar. He claims there is no possibility he mistakenly left out that information, therefore I am a liar. Basically, he claims to be incapable of error. The lady that works with him who I first spoke with promised that they would call back about my situation but clearly they disregarded me call.
Can't honestly review the comfort because I haven't been able to lay on the damn thing. It was to be delivered between 9 and 2 today. Sounds like the cable guy, right? But wait, there's more. Got a call at 11:20, the truck is delayed and will be there at the later part of the estimate. OK. I waited and I waited. At 2:30 I had to leave, left my wife there alone. Called sleep #. Quote, "if I had to bet my life on it, 30 to 45 minutes."
LOL. At 4:30 wife calls, still no bed, this is 2 hours after the "bet my life" call. Mr."bet my life would be dead 3 times already. I call again, 2 minutes, they are right down the road. 25 minutes later, NOT 2, the truck finally pulls up. Now, gotta give em credit for the set up. Just about 30 minutes, the old mattress was out, the sleep number was in and set up done. Good job!. Now, if they give you a time for delivery, flip a coin, call the psychic hot line, do a weegee board but no way do you trust these people.
Bed goes flat called they said i need new pump only 3 yrs. Old bad i not recommend no one to buy this bed junk
Answer: For sleep number mattresses...YOU pay for return shipping even though it doesn't cost $249 to ship it back they're going to make money off of it
