Bad service
April 19, 2023

Purchased 3-2023, had nothing but problems, not 1 yr old. Pd in full $10,000. Can't connect to wifi, want to charge for remote to fix. Waited 1 month to fix, purchased for health issue. Can fed x the remote, can't got to store to get either. Take your $$, but the worst service ever. Be careful purchasing this bed, NOT WORTH THE $$$$.

Terrible smell
April 7, 2023

The new mattress C4 had a terrible smell which lasted about 3 months. After 3 months we tried the mattress and couldn't return it since the trial period has expired.
I wouldn't suggest this brand for people with elevated sensitivity.

Be aware
March 31, 2023

We bought a sleep number with a 12 year warranty. They do not tell you it is prorated so you have to pay for parts if they go bad. As much as I've paid for this bed, everything should be covered under the warranty very deceitful. Would not recommend to anybody

Replacement Foam Topper
March 30, 2023

Replacement form topper for older SN bed is terrible. Don't waste your money. They won't return it. I will be challenging it with our credit card company. Was told it would be the same replacement as what I had. The density is awful and it's not 3" as promised. Here is a cross section of the old (yellow) and new (gray) cheep piece of foam. Note the density and thickness difference.

Satisfied, even with customer support
March 26, 2023

I purchased my first Sleep Number mattress in 2008. It came with two separate air chambers that, as described in another review, kept separating. I too used pool noodles to fill the gap. Last November, the remote stopped working so I took it to a Sleep Number store to buy another one. The representative said I had to call Customer Service to obtain another. So I called and was told unless I had the original invoice, I could not replace the remote since that remote version couldn't be verified. Terrible CS experience.

Months later, I went to my local S# store to inquire about a Climate 360. The salesperson was friendly, no pressure, and knowledgeable. She also told me when I bought the original mattress, where (online) and the original invoice number. I decided to chuck the remote and buy the 360. It did take 10 weeks to arrive, but when it did, the techs were courteous and knowledgeable. They installed it in my converted, canopy waterbed without a problem. I also bought the remote, which I thought should be included, but the 360 primarily uses a phone app.

Last week, something went wrong with the pressure setting. I called the store and they said to call Customer Service. So with great trepidation, I did. I was pleasantly surprised. The service rep went through several diagnostics and conversed with me during the tests about a multitude of things; the weather, our jobs, sleep number experiences, etc. She spent over an hour, and when I had to go to work, she said she'd call me back when I got home- which was her quitting time. Nevertheless, she stayed late and called back, then proceeded to do a deep dive, taking a couple of hours. She isolated the problem, and is shipping the part Next Day Air. When she found out the technician wouldn't be available for three weeks, she was able to expedite that to one week (and apologized for that length of time) In short, I've never had a better CS experience.

Overall, I'm very satisfied with the bed and superior customer service. Maybe the company is heeding all of the critical reviews. I do get much better sleep and feel well rested. That said, I'm not sure the bed is worth $13k, Let alone their sheets. But then I knew that going in.

We ordered a top of the line Climate Control 360 bed during the President's Day Sale. Delivery time was going to be 6 weeks. Ten days after ordering, we got an e-mail ad from Sleep Number showing the bed we ordered at $700 LESS than we were paying. The store manager said, "No problem, call customer service and request the lower price under our standard 30 day price match guarantee. Once an order is placed any changes have to go through customer service." Customer service said they couldn't find the ad we were talking about so we e-mailed it to them. Two different customer service managers told us they would not honor the lower price. We cancelled the order the next morning. At that time we found out the $1100.00 headboard we ordered could not be cancelled because it was "custom upholstery" and cannot be returned, no matter that it hadn't been made or shipped yet. An interesting note here is every Sleep Number store has several "custom upholstery" headboards identical to the one we ordered in the store, so it isn't really a custom item, just a corporate scam.

We ordered a top of the line hybrid matress and adjustable base from another comany on Friday and it was delivered Sunday morning. It was a third of the Sleep Number price and we didn't have to wait six weeks.

Most regret I've ever had on a major purchase. You will eventually find out that Sleep# is just air mattresses wrapped in foam as you will be forced to do your own troubleshooting and repairs after it starts leaking. You will also find out there is NO customer service to support product. They make it quite plain that your phone call is annoying them and won't send anybody out to fix product. Anyway, that was my experience.

We've had our bed just under 2 yrs. My partner's side has already popped. The mattress has a 5 yr warranty, but it doesn't actually cover anything. To replace the air chamber myself it costs $200. For the tech to come and do it, it's $320. That's with it being under warranty! When it happens again, and I certainly expect it to, we will not be fixing it. We'll just buy a mattress from another company. Such a waste of money. They really are a $#*!ty corporation. Not that I'm surprised.

My wife and I ordered a bed a month and a half in advance for our relocation across the country. We had a delivery date set a month in advance.
The day of the scheduled delivery, I received a call saying that the bed wouldn't be delivered for another 2 weeks. We called our sales rep Tami because we had no place to stay after that night. She said she moved the delivery date to the next day (a day after our originally scheduled date).
That day, the bed was not delivered during the scheduled timeframe. We received an email and call saying that the delivery had again been pushed back, this time 7 days. We tried calling and texting Tami multiple times, but never got a response. When we called the store, they said she was busy with a customer.
Although we canceled our order (after waiting on hold for 30 mins), we have incurred another 4 nights of hotel expenses while we wait for another company to deliver a mattress. I wish we had never considered Sleep Number and would strongly advise people to avoid ordering from them.

The sleep number top of the line is a waste of money.
I wouldn't buy another one ever!
Plus the bs warranty depreciates over time so just a good marketing job for a crappy product. If the would have put the marketing money into RND might actually have a good product

Apparently their warranty is as follows for our bed: purchased before Mar. 29,2020: covered for 25 years,
0-2 years cost you nothing
3-20 is 20% plus 4% for each complete calendar year after the purchase date.

Customer Service
January 26, 2023

I have called customer service to arrange for the removal of a sleep number bed. I explicitly told customer service I was not replacing the bed. I was quoted fees by one of the stores, I was quoted a price by customer service, I had to receive call backs as your were busy and when I was called back, I was disconnected. When i finally was able to talk to customer service, I was told the bed is only removed if I buy another one. Your poor reviews are warranted.

We have a pre2000 Select Comfort which is now in our guest room and a Sleep Number in our bedroom. We tried an expensive traditional mattress and moved the old bed to the guest room. Hated it. Gave those mattresses away and got the Sleep Number.

No Sleep
January 14, 2023

We purchased the top of the line climate 360 from Sleep number. After a two month wait the bed was delivered. It's been one thing after other. From connectivity problems to the mattress constantly losing air at random times. One of the major reasons we purchased this ridiculously expensive bed was for the cooling feature. The only problem is, it sounds like a jet plane taking off when you turn it on. I have not been able to use it, as no one can sleep with that kind of noise. It records our sleep as great when we aren't even sleeping in it. I gave it a good try but I finally gave up and I am sleeping elsewhere. My husband spends more time sleeping in his recliner than in the bed. We are in the process of try to get sleep number to address the problem. Save yourself the headache ( and the 10,000 bill) and buy a different bed.

We have a 4 yrs old split king 360 bed (which means we have 2 extra long twin beds on a adjustable frame). Recently the side wall of one of the beds began to bulge. When I contacted the company they determined that the foam was had broken down due to use. When we received the replacement foam insert, we discovered that the foam wall was hot glued to the mattress topper. When I filed a better business complaint, this was the answer I got. According to our records the Ms. ****'s foam was replaced due to use. The side wall foam had compressed. Loss of firmness and height is an expected result of normal use of the bed.
This is an engineering defect- not a part of normal use. When the user sits on the side of the bed, the downward pressure will cause the stress on the seam and pull away from the topper- causing the foam wall to bulge outward. DONT BUY THIS BED

Wish I didn't…

Wish I didn't buy a split king the bed doesn't stay together you fall through the crack every night.

Purchased June 2021. Air chamber blew in my side of the bed their 15 year warranty is hyped they only cover a percentage, costing me $200 for a new air chamber, my husband is sleeping on the couch so I can sleep in bed. I am so mad $5000 dollar on a bed to have the air mattress inside bust and then told I had to pay even more to replace it. Never again. My mistake for not doing better research on reviews.

Product Support
January 9, 2023

The sales person sold me the $6,000.00 bed saying that it would last at least 20 years with no problems and probably last longer than that. The bed is six years old. It has taken me two years to figure out why one mattress kept loosing air. Long story short, a plastic piece inside of the pump cracked, Sleep number is blaming the chip shortage on not being able to buy a new pump. They are wanting to sell me a new bed. They say someday they might have some of the old pumps available again. They do not know when. I am not sure why they can't make a newer model pump work on an old bed. Terrible customer support... I would never buy a Sleep Number Bed again. I am looking at ISense air beds this afternoon.

I had a question about something that wasn't easily found on their website so I opted to use the online chat feature. I got my answer and then the rep was trying to get me to make a purchase right now. I told them that I would prefer to go to the store locally and I might do that later that day, he followed up with scare tactics that I might not be able to get one from the store and it's the same as online anyway. Never in my life have I reached out to customer support on any other website and been pressured into making a purchase. All the others take no for an answer. It seems their chat support agents are on commission.

Worst mistake of my life!
December 28, 2022

Called 10 days ago to buy the bed and frame. They told me I have a 90 day no questions asked warranty. Woke up today and changed my mind. Asked to cancel the order and they did but at the end they said the bed frame will be delivered 1/26. I'm confused I thought I just canceled the order. They then tell me they can't cancel the frame after 24 hours of buying it. It's been 10 days;( so now I have to pay $2500 for a frame with no bed. I feel like the biggest sucker. Called the Sleep Number store and talked to the manager in Gilbert who told me he didn't know you couldn't cancel an order for a frame that has not been delivered. This is too strange. Even the manager does not know the policy? I have reported them to the BBB and consumer affairs but unfortunately looks like I'm buying a $2500 bed frame :( Don't be fooled by these guys this was the worst experience I have ever had and I haven't even received it! Damn what a waste of hard earned money! DONT BUY A SLEEP NUMBER YOU WILL REGRET IT!

Stay Away
December 26, 2022

Difficult to get the advertised rest. Consistent problems with the base and mattress. Find another alternative. It is disappointing to spend 6 to 8 thousand to realize that you made a costly mistake after 2 years. Good luck purchasing the right bed for a restful sleep.
