This mattress feels exactly like an air mattress. We got ours over a month ago and I haven't been able to have a good night sleep since. I am a healthy 125 lbs person with no chronic pain. Every morning I wake up sore in this bed all over and sometimes with sciatica pain.
You definitely sink towards the middle at night. The sleep IQ is just a joke. It tracks my sleep from 6-11 pm?! When I'm not even in bed. We called and told them that the bed squeaks. A technician came to check it. We said that it feels and sounds like air mattress. He said yes! IT IS AN AIR MATTRESS! They should say that to everyone. This is an expensive air mattress. And there's no free trial! The mattress was 1300$ and they deduct shipping fee when you return it which is total of 500$. I am so happy they delayed our delivery last minute and I canceled the frame that I ordered. I read everywhere that you can't return that. Much different than what we tried in the store. And the worse part is, I wrote two reviews with low rating and they deleted them. I talked to customer service which told me they review them and delete spams. No wonder on theirs website their rating is above 4 and everywhere else it's 2/5! They tricked me with this!
We received our bed about 30 days ago and I have initiated a return. The bed is uncomfortable and doesn't have support on the side. If you sit on the side, you will slide down which is what happened one night when I got up to use the bathroom. I slipped out of the bed. When purchasing, I was told that the bed has a 15 year warranty only to find out later that it is a limited warranty. When shopping for the base, I was told the only difference was the foot warmer and massage function, so we opted for the less expensive base. The remote is attached to the base in the middle of the bed making it difficult to reach when you are in bed. Also, I found out after purchasing that the base is not returnable. You will be stuck with the base. I'm thankful that I can return the bed but very unhappy about the base situation.
Buyer beware. Sleep Number base costs 3 times more than the mattress and is not returnable. I see why their ratings are so bad. Wish I would have read all ratings before I sunk a fortune into an uncomfortable bed.
I bought a sleep number bed in 2020. Now it's 2022 and it hurts my back so bad. I cannot get the pressure regulated because either way it goes my back hurts, my legs twitch and I'm miserable! Sometimes it starts adjusting the pressure without us touching the remote. My husband won't discuss getting another mattress because of the cost of this one. It has sagged in the middle since 6 mos after we got it. We are average size and not obese at all. The technician came out and said we needed new foam pads... really... after 6 mos? I called them a 2nd time and was told the cost would be $300. So... now I'm going to sleep in the guest room and hope I can get some rest. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS MATTRESS AT ALL.
Have had bed for just under 3 years. For the last year there has been a progressively bad dip in the middle of the bed (so that we end up rolling to center several times a night and have to "climb" back to our sides). Called for repair. Had to pay just under $300 for replacement pieces. Was scheduled, received confirmation 2 days before appoitnment for repair. Called day before to confirm correct address (when i made the initial appointment i told them i had moved and provided new address). Found out the day before (when i called to confirm) they didn't update the address. They updated it an confirmed we were still on for next day. A few hours later we receive NEW appointment time that was 2 weeks later. Rescheduled us without calling... they assigned us a day we were out of town. Called to try and fix and found out there were no earlier dates and to reschedule is going to push us out even further. So we'll sleep on our couches for the next 2 weeks. Sure hope they don't decide to cancel without explanation and call again as we've now moved our trip to accomodate new appt. Will not be purchasing another one of these beds.
I've been a sleep number customer for 25 years. I have serious back and pain issues. Sleep number is the only bed that relieves the pressure points. I've tried foam, traditional etc... Frankly I dont understand the bad reviews because its adjustable! Too hard, deflate. Too soft, inflate.
Dealing with Sleep Number has been a nightmare from the start. Our delivery "technician" was not able to set the bed up and we had to call customer service and do it over the phone. A week later the bed would not connect to wifi again. Several calls to customer service to try to get it corrected. Finally had to schedule a technician visit. It took an HOUR on the phone with somebody to even set up the tech appointment for a week and a half out. On the day of the tech visit, our window was pushed out five hours, so we basically had to wait at home all day for somebody to show up.
My bed starting leaking and their customer service is HORRIBLE! They do offer service, at your expense, and they are way booked out (since they have a lot of leaks) so I have no bed for 2 months. <<< AVOID >>>
After spending approximately 3 hours on the phone and being transferred multiple times, our issue with the Sleep Number bed is unresolved. When a consumer spends $7,000 for a mattress and it fails to work after one year, one would believe that support from this company would be forthcoming. It has not been the case.
Never again will we purchase a Sleep Number bed and let this be known…. We are prepared to take this issue to the Attorney General's office in our state not only to make them aware but to have them attempt to intervene not only for us but for the others who have written negative reviews. Our world is in a chaotic state, this incompetence and lack of care for consumers only increases the stress.
I PURCHASED A SLEEP NUMBER BED FROM THE BLUFFTON-HILTON HEAD ISLAND SOUTH CAROLINA SLEEP NUMBER STORE. THE SALES REPS WERE GREAT BUT THE PRODUCT IS TOTAL JUNK!
WITHIN A WEEK OF DELIVERY THE ELECTRONICS FAILED AND THE LEFT SIDE WILL NOT HOLD AIR.
I TRIED TO GET A REFUND BUT THEY REFUSE TO GIVE ME BACK THE DELIVERY FEE! WISH I HAD A BUSINESS WHERE I COULD CHARGE SOMEONE FOR A FAULTY PRODUCT AND GET AWAY WITH THIER MONEY AND NOT STAND BEHIND THE PRODUCT! I SPENT $1400 FOR A MATTRESS THATS TOTAL JUNK AND NOW I GET THE PLEASURE OF SLEEPING ON MY SOFA!
SLEEP NUMBERS RESPONSE WILL ONLY MAKE YOU REALIZE THEY ABSOLUTELY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER THEY JUST BASICALLY ROBBED OF THIER HARD EARNED MONEY! THEY EVEN WANT TO CHARGE YOU $200 TO PICK UP THEIR FAULTY PRODUCT!
ANYONE THINKING ABOUT SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE BETTER STEP BACK AND THINK HARD ON THAT THOUGHT…
YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! PLEASE PASS THIS ALONG TO ANYONE YOU KNOW THAT IS THINKING OF BUYING A NEW MATTRESS.
Ordered Online. They hit my card for $2610 in December. I called every 6 weeks to follow up and was assured that the parts would be in any day. On April 27th they informed me they were no longer going to make that mattress. 4 months interest out the window. I will not consider them again. They acted like it was just tough crap and thy didn't care.
I was going to post receipt but there is to much personal info on it.
Sleep Number bed promotes the "100 Night Trial."
I was led to believe that the trial would be free. When we purchased the mattress, we were told about the $200 (two hundred dollars) delivery fee. It seemed high for delivery, but we agreed to it. What we did NOT agree to, was the $249 (two hundred and forty-nine dollars) delivery fee for the return of the mattress. To my best knowledge, this is above the cost of any deliveries in our area. Deliveries for large items in our area are below $100, when there is a cost at all. High-priced items such as these (this mattress was almost $3000 (three thousand dollars) carry no shipping fees at all. I was also told I cannot return the mattress my own. I did speak with Veronica, the "case manager" who told me she did not care about my reporting their practices, and that she would not work with me.
This amounts to deception. The "100 Night Trial" really costs $500 (five hundred dollars rounded up with taxes) for those of us who find the sleep number mattress impossible to sleep on.
My bed is less than 2 years old. It doesn't hold air. Not helpful to repair and not under warranty. Still have 2 years to pay for it. Don't buy a bed that you have to pay to repair every 2 years. There is nothing more disappointing. Don't make my mistake.
Had my Queen Performance Sleep Number since 2015. When I had taken it apart to move I noticed the foam piece that lays between the air chambers and pillow top mattress cover was torn around where the air chamber edges were hitting it, and it looked close to the whole edge being ripped off.
I called customer service last Nov or Dec and told the lady the situation. She said they would be sending new parts, never said anything about cost or that I would be paying anything. On the return label and order it included the foam sidewalls so I sent in those too. I never received the replacement parts so I called a few weeks ago and the gentleman I talked to was very nice, but told me the original order had never been put through and that my total was $383.59! I was kind of shocked, I did explain to him my original conversation with CS, and he apologized. I felt like there was nothing I could do because I had already sent them my parts so I obviously needed the new ones. Paid them.
Got my parts yesterday, except I received the pillow top mattress cover instead of the foam. I call and she says that piece isn't on the order, YEP exactly! So now they tell me I owe another $100+. I ask them what about the piece that I never even needed that I paid almost $300 for? She told me I can ship that back and they'll refund me. Lots of wasted time on this.
Good customer service would have just sent me the freaking foam topper for free seeing as they screwed up several times.
I had two very different experiences when trying to schedule service. To begin with I made two rather expensive service requests. These were to take apart my bed and put back together again after I moved. The problem started when instead of scheduling the second appointment later in the day. It was scheduled with a window of 10 am to 1 pm.
This was way earlier then requested. So when I called several minutes after being notified when the appointment was. Andy from consumer services basically stonewalled me and told me there was nothing I could do other then request a different day. When ask if he could just ask the techs to arrive towards the end of the window. He got rather rude and told me he could no more do that then ask them to bring me a Big Mac. WTF common man. He further said that he had been doing this job for 5 years and had had this conversation many times before. He also said that when I request to talk to someone further up the food chain then him, there was no one how could do anything for me. So at that point I ended the conversation.
So at this point I went looking for another number to call, I mean after all. All I was trying to do is make sure my bed could be put together once it got moved. Something quiet frank I could do myself. But I was willing to pay them to do it. So I get ahold of some name Miocia, apologizes if I spelled it wrong. But in two minutes she was able to send a message to the techs doing the reassemble of my bed and warn them not to come to early. Something Andy said could not possibly be done.
Fast forward to when they came to take my bed apart. The techs called to see if they could come early. Luckily my wife was home. So having them show up several hours early was not a problem. But they had no tool. Let say that again. They came to take apart my bad, and they brought no tools with them. Again come on man. What you thought it was magically gonna come apart. We will see how tomorrow goes. But so far they are getting a D minus and that is being kind. Stay tuned for part two. 3/31/2022 a very un
I was recently in a bad accident where I am now bed ridden for the next 2 months. My sleep number bed broke down. I have to have my head and feet elevated. The head elevation no longer works. I have called Sleep number Customer service repeatedly to no avail. They pass the buck to a company called Legatt and Platte that services the platforms. This company was even worse. I have talked with four supervisors at both companies, all of which were useless. Legatt and Platte told me they do not service Colorado yet Sleep Number sells their product here. All I got was runaround. Do Not Buy Sleep Number products! They are the absolute worst!
My boyfriend and I purchased a mattress almost 2 weeks ago. Since day 1, one side of the bed won't keep air. On day 7, after 5 calls and being hung up on 3 times, we were told to cap that side, and a new pump would be sent. It's been 5 days, and we can't even track it using the tracking number we were given. We called the store we purchased it from tonight and were told they couldn't help us. When asked to speak to a manager, we were told he wasn't there and may not get our message. We were then told they would pass the info to the salesman who sold us the bed, but he may not get the message. We told them we would be disassembling the mattress and bring it back to the store on Saturday. We were told we can't do that. We were also told we have 100 days to return the mattress, but your website clearly says 30. Further, we purchased a $300 matress cover from your company for a bed we will not be keeping. We will NOT be paying $249 for you to come get a mattress that YOU gave us broken. We will return the mattress and the mattress cover to the store. We WILL NOT pay a fee, and we WILL get a full refund. Your company's customer service is indicative of a scam, and we will not be prey to your shoddy business practices. Further dismissal of our issues will not be tolerated, and if necessary, we will make a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well as leave bad reviews all over the internet. If you fail to adhere to your own return policy and continue to demonstrate such poor business practices, we will seek legal counsel. I don't like to threaten, but we will NOT be victims of your company.
We like our sleep number bed but the accompanying SleepIQ app/software is awful. It is very buggy and leaves us extremely frustrated when we want to go to bed at least twice per week. The bed goes up when I press down. Or it gets stuck in the up position forcing a system reboot to get the mattress back into its default position. Our plug is behind the dresser which causes me to move furniture at 11pm at night. Very frustrating. We reported it to Sleep Number and they suggested to plug directly into an outlet instead of a surge protector but that didn't fix the problem.
I've had a sleep number for 15 months, and I replaced more than 3 parts within that time frame. The customer service is the worst I have ever seen with with 4 week resolution from diagnosis to when you actually get a technician to come out. The worse decision I ever made.
Bought sleep number... adjustable bed at Paducah KY store around 2014? Paid at least $5000 for the glorified air mattress... finally getting rid of it tomorrow. Posting this review so no one waste their time or money on this lousy air mattress. Pure junk.
Answer: For sleep number mattresses...YOU pay for return shipping even though it doesn't cost $249 to ship it back they're going to make money off of it
