The best? That would require evaluating all the other ones and I have absolutely no need to do that. Always getting adequate answers to my questions and requests. I even got them fixing some setting on all (yes ALL) their shared servers - for the non-believers: I can prove that:-) Maybe not the cheapest but not too expensive either.
One minus though: they are rather greedy on disk space: 20GB for 'unlimited email accounts' for a 'Grow big' isn't unlimited at all and it won't grow that big, unless you set all mailboxes to 0 bytes, remember the math: 0 x unlimited = undefined...
Thanks so much for helping me - fixed an issue with images being warped because of incompatibilities with https, and Siteground fixed it so quickly for me. I didn't know where to start. I love that they are so knowledgeable on WP sites as well. Great stuff!

PROS
1. They have a fully automated system where they will notify you every time they want to do any update, an issue that you need to address, and even provide guidelines on what to do to make your website/system better.
2. Regarding CMS users, siteground works all they year to identify new solutions to optimization, with their SG optimizer serving WordPress users best.
3. Whenever you share an idea with the technical team, it cannot take more than 6 months before you see a product online addressing your problem.
4. Friendly pricing and so many discounts to help service users across all social classes
CONS
1. Not sure, because those I hear complain looks like complains themselves.

Siteground is well known for the high quality of its customer support. This is why I switched to them several months ago. My experience is that this reputation is 100% deserved. Not only are support staff very knowledgeable, they are also pleasant, understanding, and patient. It's rare to get all these qualities at the same time! Combine this with a very affordable price and I am delighted with my SG experience.
My first experience was good. I say more after trying them out for a year. I have read mixed reviews, but most everyone I speak to recommends them. No one recommended me to use their affiliate link, so I didn't feel any pressure. I made the decision as a beginning blogger. My concern is on the renewal pricing. Hopefully they have deals as they mentioned. If not I will move to another platform after 1 year.
Simply all my experiences with siteground were amazing. Amazingly easy, Amazingly friendly. Always there, always there, always helpfull.
While the tools are very flexible, it is nice to know that Siteground support is there when you really need help. I ran into a problem and they really jump right it in & the site was back up in a flash.

I have been with you for a year and I regret leaving but it's a matter of costs and your storage limits. Diana K in particular has always gone above and beyond to help me. She's incredible and if anyone actually pays any attention to these reviews, which I doubt, give her a raise!
I recently moved from Hostgator to SiteGuard and currently I have the same site www, padlocks.co.nz on Hostgator and www.padlocks.online at SiteGroiund, Both hosts offer excellent chat support. I find the SiteGround website complicated to navigate round but it does offfers more oportunity to develop ones site. My website is marginally faster on SiteGuard but don't believe all the hype from the affiliates as SiteGuard offers them generous rewards for promoting their site.
I love their active response to my questions while I haven't even started with their service yet. Now I am confident I am speaking with a real service company instead of chain of emails.

Answer: There are certainly many other hosting companies out there, some of which appear cheaper, but there is a difference between low cost and good value. I have not found a hosting company that is better than sitegound
