I joined SilverSingles as a non paying member.
The first 2 weeks I received several emails stating "your profile has just been visited" and so and so "sent you a smile".
However I soon discovered that all the men, David, Scott etc, that I followed up on had the exact same profiles! I did not pay for membership because I wanted to check it out first. Very disappointing to find Silver Singles duplicated profile information and sent them under various names. Shame on them!
So glad I didn't invest in their scam.

SCAM!

Deceptive marketing, lack of basic site functions, 95% of matches out of state beyond the 50 mile radius parameter set on profile, MANY fake profiles and scammers, and most important of all, the worst customer service I have ever received from any organization. TOTAL waste of money.

Most of the gentleman who was my match lived over 100 miles away I had set the mileage or distance and it's way over the distance that I had said I'd be willing to go a lot of scammers so I don't even get on it anymore it's not worth my time or effort

I had been on the site for about 4 weeks. I hated it, so I clicked to cancel, but was going to ride out the rest of the 3 month subscription I had purchased. I added a new photo of myself, and updated a couple of the questions, and was making plans with a gentleman to meet soon and suddenly without warning they canceled me, blocked me entirely from the site, and sent an email to me saying I had to send them my photo ID or drivers license to be reinstated due to 'inconsistencies'! Meanwhile, this gentleman I had connected (and fortunately exchanged phone numbers with previously) let me know they sent him an email also that said, "We advise you discontinue contact with this person (me) as we suspect this is a scammer /fake profile"! The nerve of them! Not to mention, it was then I realized that this company exists in Berlin, Germany...yep that's the address listed on the email where I am supposed to be sending total strangers my photo ID?!? THEY are the scammers! Stay far away from this and all dating sites. Turns out they are all owned by the same company and clearly they do not want you to find a match. This was not about 'inconsistencies'. My photo was not much different from my others. I don't know but it was totally unfair, and I have to wonder how many other men I had chatted with now believe I am some scammer when I am NOT! Absolutely infuriating. Stay way way way far away from Silver Singles. Additionally, there are legit scammers on there...they are easy to see through most of the time. I did NOT appreciate being lumped in with them one bit.
Thanks for nothing Silver Singles. Much to your dismay, I'm sure, I have met someone...the person you seem to have tried to prevent me from meeting, as the cancelation happened literally during our chat exchange on your website, and right after our last exchange about meeting (ironically or coincidentally...or more likely intentionally!) I don't have the original purchase email, but here are 2 other emails I received from them more recently. Hope that helps.

This dating site is as bad as it gets. 90% of the men they are suggesting have no photos and when you ask them (the men) for a photo they do not respond.
It is a total waste of time trying to choose someone to say hello to when you can't see what they look like. I have at least six photos of myself on the site. There should be a stipulation for the people using the site that they can only post a profile if they have at least one photograph. Look at the blank photos, you'll get the idea. A waste of time and money! Grrrrrrr🤬

This site is full of fake profiles. I have received over 10 messages from silver singles that profiles contacted me were not verified. My preferences I put in are ignored and I receive messages from all over the country. I tried contacting customer service but have not heard back. I tried to address it on my profile page but it was rejected. This was what I posted

"Interesting site. I've had no less than a dozen likes where I've been notified that the profiles could not be verified. So I'll make it easier so I can hopefully stop getting scams. I'm looking to meet someone in the west palm beach area, preferably within 30 miles. I'm not interested in using WhatsApp or any other web based platform. I'm more traditional and will either use this site to communicate or when you're ready, text or talk." Again, the rejected it. In my opinion, waste of time and money

Don't waste your hard-earned money on this website. There is little to no oversight in who presents themselves, and half of the profiles are fake, scammers, and big-time "Love Bombers" trying to win your heart so they can set you up for an "ask" (money). Ladies, if you are a widow, BEWARE. Profiles of some of these men disappear, but there is no notification to those who communicated that there was misconduct. I've learned that I am better off alone! Read up on online dating "Red Flags." Educate yourself or your heart will be broken.

This has got to be the worst dating site I've ever been on. The site is full of fake profiles, scammers & men just looking for a hook up. Even the site has sent me numerous emails warning that someone that contacted me is a fake profile and to disengage any contact. When I contacted them to get a refund, they said that was not possible even though they admitted that there were scammers contacting me. For my own safety, they wouldn't cancel my account or provide a refund. They only offered for me to transfer the account to someone else. Why on earth would I subject a friend to this scam? Awful! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

They say a 6 Month membership is 24.95. But they charge you 179.00. Be careful not sure all the other information is accurate either

I requested cancellation and a refund on the renewal date and they do not do it. Site is not worth it.

I placed filters for ethnicity, distance & photos, all of which were TOTALLY ignored. Customer service ABSOLUTELY NO HELP AT ALL! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Be careful ladies, the site if full of scam artists. Asking for phone numbers, email address. If the grammar is off, most likely they are hitting you from somewhere outside of US. RADAR UP

Be careful who you deal with on this site. They are mostly foreign men showing off a fancy life style trying to charm with sweet words and sending fake pictures of food they make taken online,. Be careful do not interact or reveal all your information till you really know them well and do a video call at a later stage. I only met one person so far who was real and able to establish a friendship with genuine intentions out of the many men who contacted me.

I can't believe that Silver Singles is rated as a top dating site by many rating sites. I was conversing with a man on the site and when I refused to give him my phone number, he told me he hopes "my mother and daughter die tomorrow". Then, "actually, my whole family dies tomorrow." I reported the profile to the site and asked for a refund and they refused. A few days later I got a security alert email from them about the same man and still they would not give me a refund. Every man I've messaged with on this site has ended up with a security alert email from the site.

Also, all of the matches they suggest are from people who are at least 300 miles away.

Don't waste your time or money!

I suggest never using any dating site, they are all scammers not to mention the incredibly bad-looking dumb people lurking on them. Better to be single and confident and happy. Who needs a loser?

Silver Singles--their censorship of my profile narrative is so bad, I left most of the sections blank. They censor your faith statements, and when you write about it they censor that too. About 95% of my contacts were scammers--apparently they have NO vetting at all. My daily matches were mostly outside my parameters by as much as 180%, so they were useless, and I'm not able to browse freely to find a mate who does meet my specifications--not allowed! I asked for people within 200 miles and they go well out past 560.

I wrote customer service and received instructions on how to change details of my profile! They went detail by detail on changing my parameters (my parameters are fine if you would pay attention to them).

This site may be the worst I've ever seen--okay, eDate was the worst, but this is quickly gaining. It's like I give them a wad of money and then they try to force upon me who THEY want me to date, to hell with what I want!

Scammers that only collect money and create fraudulent profiles
Fake profiles most likely created by the Silver Singles people. 5+ fraudulent connections-messages and 5+ fake profiles. Maybe 5 people of 200 suggested profiles were legit. Most of who contacted me, were fishing for my personal information - SCAM! The site most likely is Bogus just to collect personal info and $$$$!
I set a 50 mile radius for suggested partners, age preference and other criteria, but got 1000 miles away, and not what I selected as preferences. 95% of All profiles are Fake. What a JOKE! Do NOT join this site!
They refuse to give me a refund regardless many complaints and literally NO hits. SCAM!

I have started be deluged by dozens per day of different spam "I want your body" type emails that all trace back to silverflirts.com. I have never clicked on anything remotely related to this type of website, so obviously someone there is passing my email addy to the scammers. When you click on the unsubscribe link you are taken to a generic "subscription cancelled site
