Was a member for approximately 90 days and my account got hacked. Someone assumed my identity and began sending messages and "smiles" to men under my profile. I spent an entire evening Re messaging men asking them
To not follow the instructions of the previous messages that had been sent asking for "offsite email requests" and explaining the messages had not in fact been sent from me. I sent help requests to silver singles customer support explaining what was going on, that someone was pretending to be me and had access to my profile and account info. That not only was my info not secure, but male clients were being scammed. The scammer changed my email address in my profile and locked me out of my own account and silver singles customer support's solution to this problem was to close my account and keep my information for future file purposes… whatever that means. No solution to men being catfished with fake emails under my profile. No solution to someone hacking all of my personal data. No concern that someone gained access to my account. And no concern that they lost a client to a scammer. HORRIBLE customer service! No security! Zero concern that their systems have a clear hole in them! Be warned!

I have had three contacts with men that were scammers. BEWARE! They were all foreigners.
After I stopped communication after a few emails, I was informed that he was a scammer. The other two, I figured out on my own. Larry Jenning and he is the man on the left.

So many scammers on this website and you just keep receiving the website's email notifying you about the scammers almost 2-3 times a week. Don't use it, seriously.

I would never go back to silver singles. I was taken for 40,000 by a man i thought was someone i could connect with after almost 2 years i am struggling to get ahead and and at a point of losing everything. Because of this i will never go onto a dating sight again. Please be careful

This site is packed with scammers. They need to address this issue. Also the matching seems ridiculous. I'm not sure how they do it but it is not a good formula as way too many matches with people that have zero commonality is the norm.

I went on Silver Singles with very little hope of meeting the real deal. For the first time on a site
I was meeting men within 25 miles of my location. I had a few dates and they were nice but the men were not for me. Don't get me wrong. They were just not for me. I am 61 and had not thought of dating much older but God had a plan and now my 66 year old fiancé' and I will be living our happily ever after in LA. Silver Singles is no different than any other site. There are good people out there and I found one on Silver Singles. Do your homework and be smart. Do not rush the process.

If they can take your 40$ one time with a million suckers looking for love they are fine. (ME)…
Customer service sucks plus they tell u right off bat they won't refund because u used site even if it's fir 1 day. The site is full of fake "Cat Fish" that ask u to download google chat only later to solicite pictures or video of sex. Person does not exist it's a bunch off scammers selling borrowed pics online. This site does nothing. BEWARE!

You can set preferences but that doesn't matter, which is frustrating. I keep getting notifications- for nothing- just a clickbait, which is frustrating. People actually think they are gonna have kids with possible matches on this site. Could not change locations when I moved (or at least not immediately but I deleted my account before I checked back)

I signed up for a year, but using the site after I paid for a year it didn't even come close to what I expected. They limit you to 20 people a day, and I changed the age group, but they didn't change it, so I was stuck. I was in it for two weeks and decided to cancel, They replied I only had three days so they took the whole year's payment with no refund. WHAT A SCAM. They could have at a minimum charged me one month and refunded the rest, but instead took it all.

If you are serious about finding a date or a mate don't waste your time or money. They said that my search parameters were TOO specific!
Requesting someone, non-smoker, within an hour or so drive with somewhat similar interest and background.
What I got were women 2-3 states to 1500 miles away, and an awful lot of fake profiles many using the address of an OLD NEAR BY AIRPORT as their town.

My account was set up to end and cancel at the end of the 6 month period. However, I got a renew notice from PayPal thankfully; that they had hit me up for another $218. No thank you!

I was very deliberate to make sure that it did not renew automatically but they tried it any way!

Unfortunately, They all play the same game! I had to file a complaint with PayPal to get my refund which took several weeks.

I signed up with SilverSingles about 6 years ago. I canceled the subscription after a year. Within the last week, I received a text alert from my bank saying SilverSingles was charging me $239.40. I had to call my bank, fraud section. They were able to confirm I did NOT agree to the charges but they had to send me a new debit card. Got my new debit card, and I got ANOTHER alert from my bank. Yes, for SilverSingles for $239.40. I tried to call SilverSingles customer service to find out what's going on. The 800 number says they're having technical difficulties at the moment. So I tried texting with a "customer service rep". As soon as I said possible FRAUD, the text disappeared. I'm thinking of checking into the BBB about them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY with this website. They'll will scam you even though you think you're done with them.

It doesn't matter what you enter for distance acceptable or age, they send matches from other states, long distances, over the age preference. It's a WASTE of TIME & MONEY.

I checked SS out & thought they were a legit company, I tried to sign up and they kept telling me that there was a problem with my CC. Today I get notified from the CC (Credit Card) company that I have two charges from SS yet I still am unable to log on. I tried to call but that just goes to a recording saying piss off, but in a nice way.

A picture is not required and 80% DON'T have pictures? I didnt sign up for a blind dating site.
Out of the 20% left they are not in my 50 mile vicinity. They are smokers and i strongly can not be with a smoker per my Filters. Once you sign up you can't get money back. Please choose another site.

I went in with very low expectations. This was my first dating site. By the third contact via email, I had met an interesting man. He was very dubious as to my profile truthfulness. Never thought to lie. We talked regularly for several weeks. By the time we met in person, we were exclusive. Silver singles worked for us. 4 years+ together. Would have reviewed sooner but couldnt find this site.
But--be aware there are some fakes and scammers out there.

Please do not get on this site unless you are willing to flush $120 down the toilet. I had a suspicion with the 3 month min subscription that they had egregious practices. I WAS RIGHT! If the site isn't the right fit for you, they won't refund your money! It's a terrible money making scheme! NO CONTACT NUMBER! Office is in GERMANY! BUYER BEWARE!
