I am very disappointed in this site. All of the matches I received did not fit the preference I chose. The two people that reached out to me, our conversation only lasted two days. Most profiles do not have a photo and when you request one you never get a response. I tried to cancel my membership online which is not possible. I found a number online and when I called it I got some guy named Daniel telling me that their server was down and he could not log into my personal server so I had to go to the nearest grocery store or 711 so he could log into the server and then get a silversingles card from the store so he could get the authorization code from the back of the card to refund me my money. There is no such card in the store and when I told him that he said miss you were suppose to call me before you went in the store so I could log into the server and he said I know the card is not in the store I was going to tell you which card to pick. Now that was not what he said originally. Well since their server allowed them to take my money I dont understand why it wont allow them to refund it when I told him I was contacting the BBB he told me to go right ahead. Lesson learned no more dating sites for me.
I just paid for "Silversingles" Dating site but there was few members only, I am a female looking for a male but the dating site has sent other females to make matches with me. LOL
Since there had no real matches to me, I emailed my concerns to customer Service, she replied right away and Silversingles didn't charge me any cents. The lady told me they give all members 5 free days.
The customer service people are responsible and respectful, hopefully they will get more members quickly.
I gave them 4 stars.
After I log out I could not sign in again because the site did not recognize my email! After that my computer started acting out! They hacked my computer!
Why bother. Site uses outdated photos and profiles! To date not one single response to smiles or messages. The matches must be deceased!
Says in fine print that they will refund your premium membership if you cancel during 3 day cool down period, I cancelled and they won't Refund because I didn't write a refund request in those 3 days when I cancelled. No where does it say you have to specifically write a request for a refund. Also they sell your email address, I'm getting German spam.
Is there a NEGATIVE 5 STARS?
How is SilverSingles still in business? Why does Google Play, Facebook & other sites, knowing, allow fraudulent "companies" to exist on their web pages?
I have signed up last December and so far, haven't received any reply from the matches that I sent smiles, comments and messages to. I had to delete one after the other, as I was sick of waiting for a reply from them. Most of the times I had only 3 matches which I had to delete on the spot, as there were no decent profiles or no photos. I am so disappointed with the site, and unfortunately I will have to be there for another 5 months and suffer. I have wasted my money, I don't think that it is fair on us who are genuine people. I wonder if these people really want a relationship, no matter what sort. Maybe in Germany they think that Australian people are stupid and that they can be scammed easily. For the price one pays, please we need better service here.
Okay so I decided to bite the bullet and pay for a dating site. Grant it I didn't do much research. I heard about Silversingles on a television ad. So I signed up. I've been on about a month now and even though I've written guys they have never replied. Even when it says they are active. So I'm thinking its just a fake app that took my money and now they are laughing at me. I've only had one person say they are not interested and have received a couple of smiles. But when I replied... nothing. So hopefully my comments will save someone $150. Don't sign up.
Disappointed Lori from Canada
There were very few from Kansas city and they keep sending matches from out of town.
They say you can contact customer care... no email and no phone number.
Terrible terrible
Can I give 0 stars?
Whatever you do, BEWARE of a guy claiming to be Josh Simons from Lexington. He's a scammer and a fake. He claims he's from Australia and lost his wife 5 years ago. This guy IS A FAKE AND SCAMMER.
I paid for a three month subscription, not one response and the matches with photos they sent were at least 100 miles away from me. ALL of the local matches had no photos, so who knows if they were even real. They DO NOT refund any money... My Feeling it is a scam... 90.00 worth - but they did good!
Sounded too good to be true, and now I know it is. Height is important to me, no one shorter than 5'8" please - got lots of enquiries from men just over 5 ft. Matches must be close to me, i. E. within 15 miles - had matches from Scotland, Wales, Isle of Wight - I'm near Brighton. Their customer service is dreadful, just a load of excuses. Be warned - don; t sign up.
My first match on silversingles I found out after talking to him for a few days that he was a convicted felon. Convicted of robbery. Wow! I paid all that money for that! I could have a man like this on any street corner. I paid for three months so I wont close out my account yet but that was very disappointing and shocking.
Set up a profile completely with photos and all questions answered don't buy a membership. Wait! If your a handsome serious guy your going to receive tons of smiles. Alright. Purchase an over priced membership and all over a sudden no more smiles and good luck getting an honest real reply. Total and complete pie in the sky scam. Fake profiles too
She met a man on this site and ended up emailing back and forth a lot, ending where they were "in love" and he was going to spend the rest of his life with her... they never met fyi. He then went out of the country for work and happened to need some machinery released and didn't know it would cost 30k! He asked her for $14,500 and then when he gets back they would live happily ever after and he would repay her... THANK GOD my 82 year old mother said "heck no goodbye!" WOW, shameful! His name was Paul Maris, and an architect (of course). BEWARE!
This site gives you the same people over within a couple of weeks and falsely reports that you liked them. Most people don't even have profile pics and there is no way to report fraudulent or fake profiles. They got my $ but I'm not wasting any more time.
Some jerk romanced me with emails because he said he couldn't get a picture on his profile. So I made-up a fake email address and man the jerk really knew how to romance a woman. Until he asked me about my BANK... What the hey, scam city. I shut down everything, and forfeited all the money I paid for membership. Silversingle is a haven people ready to scam you. Stay away from that web/App.
I signed up for 6 months. Bust! Fake profiles. Matches aren't appropriate -- you get EVERYONE! It's a total rip.
They auto renew without notification. I signed up for 6 months. Auto renewed for 12 months. Worse -- you won't receive notice your term is nearing the end. Legit places let you know your subscription is expiring in 30 days and a countdown of emails -- plenty of time to change. Not so with SilverSingles.
Impossible to reach them. Stay away -- far, far away.
How and where does someone report these people? I signed on never imagining a dating site could be so bad. They send you matches from thousands of miles away, I don't even think the people exist mostly that they send you, half have no pictures, you cannot search yourself. It is the worst ever
"Matches" are just random lists of people who, for about 90 percent, have no photo, no profile information, no interest listed, or who live several hundred miles away. Complete waste of time and money.
Answer: You do not want to sign up to this site for even a minute. They are scammers through and through. They will have no matches for you but will clear your bank account. Please don't join.
Answer: File disputes with your CC company and/or PayPal I am fighting for a refund also report them to anyone that matters we have to get the word out
Answer: YOU BEEN SCAMMED! I PAID ABOUT THE SAME, BUT I WAS ABLE TO SIGN ON AND USE IT. BELIEVE ME, YOU'RE BETTER OFF AS IT'S FULL OF SCAMMERS, MEN POSING AS WOMEN AND WOMEN POSING AS MEN TO GET YOUR $$$. I HAVE 457 "MATCHES" ACCORDING TO THEM. 457? BS
