I ordered Christmas presents on December 1. So far, they have canceled the order 3 times with no contact or explanation. Customer service is hidden by a miserable switching system. Average 4 hang-ups per call. Finally demanded to speak to a manager. I've waited 1 1/2 hours. Pretty sure I could wait until next year and never speak to a manager. In short, no product and no help.
I departed after suffering a significant financial loss. The app still works even though the community administrators are no longer there. But after getting a big Thanksgiving bonus, I'm tempted to believe this is a scam because there are no withdrawal options. I turned to M e/r s e yh - i p; in order to get help because it will be a miracle if it comes back. They help me obtain roughly $14,000 back from them, so at least they can be trusted.
I'd give this company zero stars if I could. I ordered a custom doormat which looked great when it arrived, but it began to fade_immediately_ and it wasn't long before all the ink had worn off. I notice that their website says "sorry we are unable to take orders at this time" - I'm hoping that this scam outfit has gone out of business so that no future customers are taken advantage of.
Re Order #******* placed 8/17.
I was charged $78.75 for something sent to an incorrect address and not received; I tried to resolve the issue with Signals' Customer Service but was rudely dismissed. I called back; spoke to manager Nica who assurred me another cardigan would be sent the next day and would arrive in 5-7 buisiness days. That was 20 days ago, but no cardigan.
My parents bought a shirt for me from here and I'm pretty sure they never sent it. Somehow, they had our old address and sent it there instead (allegedly). We know the people that live there now and they never received it either. Called their customer service, who SAID they would send a replacement to the correct address. Good right? Wrong. After supposedly submitting a replacement order over the phone, Signals not only NEVER sent the replacement, they insist my parents never even called and placed the replacement order over the phone. They tried to claim it was done online, which isn't even an option for this order because the replacement was supposedly free of charge. Now they want my parents to PAY AGAIN for a shirt that will probably also never be sent. I told my dad to dispute the charge with the bank.
Defective/broken iem returned for refund was then not refunded, after calling a month later tind out a gift card, not requested, was sent, minus handling fees. Used gift card, had to pay nominal additional amount via credit card, then Signals took that credit card number and use it to sign me up for a bogus subcription. Disputed the transaction as fraud. Stay away from this merchant.
My husband gave me a Women's Iona Irish Sweater from Signals for Christmas and I loved it, but I wore it less than 4 weeks and the pills were hanging off it. It wasn't something that I wanted to wear in public. Terrible quality. I returned it for refund but was shorted $21.62. They didn't reimburse the original $19.99 shipping and they miscalculated the tax, charging $1.63 more when I bought it than when I returned it.
I have also realized that all the reviews on their website are fakes. All 5 stars. And no ability to write a review. I clicked on "Write a review" and the website just spins at me. What's perplexing is that i bought my husband an Irish sweater last year and it was great. I guess that was just luck.
Bought a couple of things for my mom for Christmas and got a percentage off for creating an account and subscribing to thier email... After the items shipped I cancelled the subscription because I don't want emails from them, I'll never buy from them again... Sure enough the next day my email in box starts blowing up with scam emails (I get about 100 a day). I have blocked thousands of senders to no avail... To this day I am bombarded with scam emails. BEWARE!
Purchased a Sweatshirt for Christmas. Was charged two different prices $39.96 and $9.99 to get to an original price, but shipping invoice was for $39.96. Shipping was $14 and had to pay return shipping and handling as item was not liked by recipient. Ended up costing me $38.40 to receive nothing on an original $50 item!
Cannot exchange my item for the same exact, without paying an additional fee of $11.99. Comprehension of the scenario and trying to explain, "I just need a smaller size," was a nightmare since you use overseas rep's that barely speak english. Sorry Signals, you will never get another $ from me. By the way, the doormat was marginal quality, at best, the sweatshirt sizing was off and (1) item has still not shown up yet!
Beware that their customer service is somewhere in Malaysia or the Philippines maybe - some call takers are very difficult to understand and do not seem to understand me very well. First order, placed in November, was totally missing an item. They did, at least, refund that. What I am VERY ticked off about now is their Christmas Shipping Guide BS! I ordered on December 17. According to the site, you need to order by the 19th at noon for their standard shipping option to get your purchases to you by Christmas. After calling twice and checking online, my sons' gifts finally shipped today and are due to arrive December 26th! Customer service would not refund the $17.99 shipping fee. If you tell customers they will get their order by Christmas so long as they place it at a certain time, then you need to do that! If it becomes apparent that you will be unable to fulfill your end of the transaction, then email with an option to cancel and to let the customer know how much you suck. It was false advertising. As a side note, I never received a confirmation email either. Signals is operating like it's 1998. Shipping should be free. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, they say there is not one available. Total garbage. I will not be ordering from any Universal Screen Arts companies. I hope Jared Florian enjoys a wonderful Christmas with on time presents.
We were sent the wrong item. It was a total nightmare trying to get the correct item after the wrong item was sent back to signals. The customer service people are the worst I have ever dealt with. When pressed to speak to a supervisor, they lied on two separate occasions saying the supervisor was "unavailable" and would call back that day As anticipated, they never called. Conveniently, there is no answer at the corporate phone number in Ohio so there is no way to speak to someone who will actually help you. My advice is to steer clear of the horrible company!
I ordered placements for a Christmas gift and after waiting 12 days to receive the package finally arrived. Opened it to find a straw hat. This is the second time I've had issues with orders from Signals.
NEVER AGAIN - DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!
My package is lost and they will do nothing. No refund, no new one sent. Nothing. I can't believe they are still in business
I was notified on my 1st order it was canceled ( which I wanted) & it came anyway. 2nd order --I ordered 1 & the 2nd one came & you have to pay shipping back even when it's their error.
Calling, a nightmare & they will tell you anything. On line contact-- you put your order number in & it ALWAYS says it's not correct, even when you redo it & recheck.
Would not apply free shipping if you use any other offer. Customer service is a joke. They actually said they are trained to say you cannot talk to anyone else and you cannot get free shipping if you apply any other discounts. So much for the illusion of a benevolent Public non profit.
Made purchase 10 days ago no contact. Tried canceling was told no it was in warehouse. No tracking, nada!
Whatever you find in their catalogs, you can get much cheaper elsewhere. Although they have very unique stuff, it probably can be found on Amazon for half the price. An example is a 1945 Christmas catalog. They wanted $20. Shipping is $10! You can find coupons but it's only 10% off. I found this same 1945 catalog through Walmart online for only $13, free shipping. Walmart will have this for me within the week. Signals takes 2 to 3 WEEKS. When you need something, you need to contact them directly and when you do get them, they are out of India or something like that. A call center outside of the USA. Signals was ok when this was the way we ordered but after COVID, there is just too much competition with companies that can get exactly what these places send to you. Their shipping is outrageous.
I have received Signals catalogs for years and always thought they had cool stuff. I've never ordered from them until recently. I ordered a solar system glass ball that sits on a lighted base (I love space!) and within a few days 3 of the 6 LED lights in the base flickered and went out. I e-mailed Signals (twice) about this issue and never heard a word from them. I had also ordered a solar yard stake that only worked for a few days (it sits on my deck and gets sun all day), so I changed the battery and discovered that one of the wires inside the battery case was disconnected (no wonder it stopped working!) I have written 2 negative reviews of these items on the Signals website and guess what? They won't print them. They only print the 5 star reviews. Lesson learned (the hard way!)
I am FURIOUS at the HORRENDOUS customer service! Call center on the other side of the world, they got everything wrong, wanted to charge me an additional $50 for nothing, made excuses, got it all wrong a second time... I just can't express what a miserable excuse for a business this is. I will NEVER order from them again.
