I've used Shutterfly for a second time now and should have learned my lesson the first time when I paid a hefty fee for overnight shipping and they refused to refund me the cost of shipping after it came much later than the 1 day I paid for. This year I ordered my cards well in advance of the holiday as I anticipated long delivery, so I gave myself ample time to get ahead of the game. After waiting over a week after the expected time I realized my package was lost and now days before Christmas I wasn't going to get any cards out. After battling customer service for an hour they refused to refund me. I'm stuck paying for something I didn't get? As a huge company shame on you! Your policies should include refunds for lost or stolen product. Amazon will issue immediately as do most companies. Shutterfly is not cheap either. $80 for 25 cards is a huge sum for someone in my financial position, but I wanted to splurge this year. I ordered 50 prints for $15 at Costco they are beautiful. I picked them up less than 24 hrs later and paid after I received them!

My daughter placed the order for Christmas photos on 11/30. It is 12/19 and order still not received. Impossible to get past the bots on the site to get a real response from a real person. Finally get to customer service. Call center in Jamaica and communication is completely unintelligible (like speaking through a tin can). I asked call center rep to call me back. She did. The line is better. Now on hold 15 minutes and counting waiting to speak to supervisor. For some reason, they cannot help because my daughter placed the order even though she used my credit card to pay for it. My daughter works in a trauma hospital and I cannot interrupt her. What kind of policy is this? When I track my order I find they were stuck in Atlanta for over one week and still there. The christmas cards will not arrive in time to address and send out. I will need a refund. I am still on hold. The supervisor just answered. 20 minutes on hold. I explained the problem and was disconnected. Now average wait time is 35 minutes. Issue is still not resolved. Here is the order number: **************062.

Still not arrived.

Ordered Christmas cards the 1st of December, still not arrived and will not get to family before Christmas. Would have picked a different shipping option if I had known this. Customer service apparently are aware of this issue but did not warn their customer's before they place their orders. Very disappointing customer service.

I ordered Christmas cards at the end of November. I spent well over a hundred dollars on cards and address labels. I received a shipping notification on 12/3. Today is 12/19. My items have been sitting in Georgia for days. I have no cards to send, cannot get a hold of customer service due to long lines, and am out more than 100 dollars. Never again! What a costly lesson.

No holiday cards.

I thought I'd had ordered my cards with plenty of time to spare. Created my card before Thanksgiving on their site. They shipped it on Nov. 24. Here it is Dec. 19 and I still have no cards. Why would Shutterfly choose the USPS for expedited delivery? I've tried to call them and the wait was crazy. So next I tried to chat and that wait was ridiculous as well. There must me hundreds of dissatisfied customers out there or they just don't want to help.

Disappointed

This season I've had several issues with Shutterfly. The 3 biggest issues are the quality of the products, the Shutterfly app never allowing me to place my orders and the app and browser not sinking up with my created projects. 1. The quality of holiday cards has gone down. Last year our cards pictures had better quality/ clarity and the colors were more vibrant. I used the same photographer for both sets of Christmas cards. 2. I was never able to place my orders on your Shutterfly app after spending hours creating projects. When I called customer service ( 3 times total adding up to about 2 hours on the phone for numerous issues) I was told to go to a browser to place my order. The browser didn't show my calendar (took hours to make and have done my calendar on Shutterfly for three years) I couldn't get my calendar that order. 3. The Shutterfly browser didn't transfer over my other projects correctly. The kicker was that I couldn't Edit or even clearly see my projects in the browser because I made them in your app. Out of the numerous projects one order was correct when I received them. What stung the most was our Christmas card. On tge front was 1 wrong picture and was white on the back. I created the Christmas card to have 3 pictures on the back with snowflakes as the back ground and the kids ages for our friends and family to enjoy. Because your app to browser projects wouldn't allow me to edit or even see the back of my card I was very disappointed. I also ordered gold envelopes in the app and white came. Overall very disgusted with Shutterfly and will be using a different company next holiday season and for my child's birthday invites. I've been a loyal customer for years.

Order never received

I ordered my Christmas Cards from Shutterfly on November 28th, 2020. I received an email on 11-30 that the shipping label had been created and the package would be delivered between 12-3 and 12-7. The next update was from 12-4 saying that USPS was still waiting to receive the item from Shutterfly. That was the last update that was received. 2 weeks have passed (today is now 12-18), I have not received my order and am not able to log a complaint or seek a refund with Shutterfly because their wait times online and by phone always number greater than 100 people waiting.

Horrible

My Christmas card order was placed on 12/2, estimated delivery date 12/14, paid $18 for shipping. They were shipped on 12/4 and tracking hasn't been updated since 12/7... I reached out to customer service earlier in the week, was told I could request a refund if not received in a few days. I contacted them again today and was told SHUTTYFLY ISN'T MAKING ACCOMMODATIONS UNLESS THE ORDER ARRIVES AFTER CHRISTMAS. What good are Christmas cards that arrive too late to mail them before Christmas? The customer service rep. Was like talking to a robot. I'm going to take the advice of another reviewer and file a claim with my credit card company. Will never use Shutterfly again.

I will start by saying I have always received great products from this company. However customer service is one of my top priorities and this is literally the worst experience I've had! The issue isn't being treated badly, the issue is you cannot get in touch with anyone to get your problem resolved! If you're going to have a large online corporation like this then you need to have to appropriate customer support!

Lost Christmas cards

I can't get a response from Shutterfly on some Christmas cards i ordered on Dec2 and they've been sitting waiting for USPS to pickup since Dec. 7th. I try to contact them and a robot response is unable to help me! Where's your customer service? Is my order lost?

ORDERED CARDS ALMOST 3 WEEKS AGO. WAS TOLD THEM WOULD BE HERE BY THE 15TH AND WERE NOT. CALLED THEM ON THE 16TH AND WAS OFFERED A REFUND BUT I SAID LETS GIVE IT A FEW DAYS TO SEE IF IT SHOWS UP. STILL DID NOT AND CALLED AGAIN ASKING FOR REFUND. TALKED TO A MANAGER WHO CHECK THE PREVIOUS CALL AND SAID THERE WAS NO RECORD OF A REFUND BEING OFFERED. WHICH IS BS. AND THIS WAS ALL AFTER PUTTING ME REPEATEDLY ON HOLD WHICH SEEMED LIKE THEY WERE JUST TRYING TO GET ME TO HANG UP. SHE INSISTED THAT NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN AND THEN I WAS HUNG UP ON AFTER I GOT A LITTLE UPSET. NEVER GONNA USE THEM AGAIN.

Poor experience

I ordered my 10 Christmas cards on December 2nd, same day and time a friend ordered 40 Christmas cards. She already has received hers as mine still don't have an updated tracking location! Everytime I try to contact customer service I can't get through or I don't get any help/answers. So frustrating.

I ordered Christmas cards together with other family members over 2 weeks ago. They have their Christmas cards and I'm still waiting for mine. There is no communication on status. No phone number to call or email... just a basic chat that still couldn't give me an update on my order. Hopefully I will get before Christmas. My last time using them...

After having shutterfly print my Christmas cards, graduation cards, memory books, large and small wedding prints for many years, I have decided to part ways with them. After placing a Christmas card order on December 1, I received shipping notification on December 3 stating delivery on the10th. Well, no cards were delivered. I checked tracking and now it says 'waiting for delivery to USPS '. On the 14th I called and was told it should have been delivered on the 10th, on the 15th I logged in for a chat the person was kind but had no information, I chatted again on the 17th, still nice person who had no information. Well I created an account with Walgreens and ordered my cards from them, 30 minutes later I was notified that they were ready. Walgreens will become my new printer.

My wife orders a $92.24 set of Christmas cards, and gets a message that it's supposed to be delivered 12/6 by UPS. She contacts Shutterfly support on 12/8, and they then say it's USPS, and says "you'll just have to wait until 12/10." So, she does, and contacts them back. NEEDLESS TO SAY, IT IS LOST.

SUPPORT HAD HER IN TEARS. It's our first Christmas cards as newlyweds. As her husband, my goal is to protect and keep her happy, SO I CALL SHUTTERFLY.

When I ask for management, I'm hung up on, after that 312 (yes, over 3 hundred) minute wait to get to a front line agent... Chat support also disconnected on me TWICE when asking for a manager.

THEN they went BEHIND MY BACK, back to my wife, to try to not talk to me.

NEVER AGAIN will this family use Shutterfly. I am NOT going away until someone answers for this.

I have ordered from Shutterfly for 20 years, and I am so disappointed in their service. I ordered my holiday cards on 11/30, paid rush shipping, and was told to expect them on December 8th. I have checked my order status every day since December 8th, and it has the same message "carrier received, awaiting scan". When I click through on the UPS website, UPS says "When the shipment arrives at our facility the delivery date will be updated." I have been on the chat three times (estimated wait 15 minutes each time) - completely worthless. I tried to call but the wait time was 174 minutes. DO NOT ORDER - YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR CARDS. They will not let you cancel your cards either, as they keep telling me they have been shipped. So incredibly frustrating!

2020 Christmas cards didn't come.
Ordered my Christmas 2020 cards on Thanksgiving so I would get them early. Contacted Shutterfly in Dec 17. Put on hold for 30 minutes. Finally told that my cards have not left Shutterfly but they "promise" they will arrive at my house Dec 19 in 2 days. I spent $254 to not get Christmas cards. Asked to speak to a manager. None available after another 10 minute wait. Hmmm. Must be a lot of other unhappy customers. Asked for compensation. Told Shutterfly is not planning to compensate. I will be looking for another service that values it's customers.

Placed an order for holiday cards on 11/30 and was told they would arrive by 12/10. It is 12/17 and no cards and Shutterfly has no idea where they are. Told me no refunds or exceptions due to the holidays. They used a 3rd party to deliver them to the post office and I have spoken with the USPS who confirmed that they show they have not received the order yet. Shutterfly told me to contact them after xmas if I didn't get them and then they would actually do something. Gwendolyn told me she was confident that they would arrive at some point. Just a stupidness all around with them. I called Visa and told them the merchant didn't deliver the merchandise on time and had the charge removed from my credit card. Happy Holidays Shutterfly, you all are awesome! I am 0% satisfied like you promised.

Awful wait time. I needed to edit my order after submitting but the site would not respond, couldn't cancel the order right after I submitted and absolutely no one to call, email or chat with was available with 2 days of trying. An hour wait time on hold before hanging up. I will dispute the charge with the bank since there are no humans at Shutterfly to be found anywhere.
