Right now one star is entirely to high for me to give them. Due to negligence behaviour from the commercial manger here in Huntsville Alabama( i think his name is Kelvin), I called this morning at 0930 hrs left voicemail, have not recieved a call back it now 1540hrs. My replacement transmission was suppose to arrive 2 weeks ago. I suppose to be working an event now, thanks to him that's missed money. Negligence is UNACCEPTABLE there is no excuse. There no excuse to why my first transmission didn't have a quality check performed on it!

Went to this location (Store # *******) on Sept. 11 Sunday afternoon for a battery check, they checked and said I need a new battery. I gave them the make & model of the car (2018 Toyota Highlander) and bought the new battery, which cost $270.37 with Tax and other charges. As soon as I reached my home, which is only 5 minutes from this location, I tried to install the new battery and found out that the battery terminals are too thin compared to the original battery which came with the car, and the connection is too loose. (I haven't broken the seal on the positive terminal yet). I called the store and they told me to bring the battery back. I went there immediately with the battery, but the salesperson said, "an electronic part which is once sold can not be returned". I didn't pick the battery, I just gave them the model number and they selected the battery (and I am back within 30 minutes). After much debate, they called the manager (** see the 2nd part of the story below**), who gave me the same answer "it is the company policy". Finally, they allowed me to return the battery and refund the money and told me that this time they are making an exception and never will do it again. That's fine because that's my last trip to that store.
***2nd part of the story**
The manager came out of his room coughing very heavily, wearing no mask. Unfortunately, I didn't have a mask either. Now I am sitting at home with COVID. What an experience!
Employees are inconsiderate and not professional at all. They don't ask questions about situations and disrespect their customers. I will never buy anything there ever again. I will take my money elsewhere.
Needed a new battery. Needed it NOW. Needed it installed (I usually install my own). Raymond Roth, a new associate at the Advance Auto Parts store on Hwy 291 in Lee's Summit, MO helped me find what I needed, gave me several options, and then installed a new battery in my car and kept the old battery core. No charge for the installation. He did it all in under 10 minutes. Great guy. Perfect customer service. Exceeded my expectations. Jim R
I went in for a new battery and Frank was friendly and very helpful! He installed it for me and answered all my questions. I would highly recommend this place.
I dropped my battery off this morning for a charge I come back later the same day to check to see how much a charge it has the regards at the Auto Advance parts in Kingsland Ga tell me they don't have the battery and no way to prove I drop it off I tell them to run the cameras back they tell me they have no camera unbelievable I want my battery thieves!
Ordered part. Didnt come in when promised. Re ordered part through store manager. Assured me he would call. Never called. Went to store and found out warehouse never had part. Manager hid so he wouldn't have to talk to me.
Yesterday I went to the auto parts to get some help for a part that I needed (store number. # *******). Shelton T. Was very helpful. He was so polite and very professional. I really appreciate the service that he provided to me. I wish there were more people like him because it makes things so much better. Great customer service!
I purchase a fuel pump for my 1979 Jeep CJ7, replaced it drove about 200 miles on it, it stops pumping. Towed home tested the pump no pressure, the Ramsey NY location did not have another pump so I went the Nanuet New York Advance auto. Nanuet said they could not refund me for the purchase of the 2nd pump I had to go back to Ramsey for my refund of the bad pump.
So installed the 2nd pump from Nanuet it leaked fuel. I sourced a 3rd pump from a different parts supplier. That pump is running fine.
I returned to the Ramsey Advanced Auto to get a refund and I am told they could only do an exchange, I told them I did not need an exchange as all ready replaced both pumps as they were defective. I was told they could not issue a refund or give me a store credit.
I have just finished restoring the Jeep and have hundreds if not thousands of dollars of Advanced Auto's parts in the Jeep. I am not adding the thousands of dollars of parts for my other vesicles.
I will not be using you company as you do not support the Advanced Auto Company as they do not stand up for their customers.
Advance Auto in whole as a company seems to have issues with people with disabilities. I know several people that work there for year's. As they have aged, as everyone does, they have developed health issues. The company is now pushing these people out the door stating that they cannot preform their duties. This is a horrible way to treat your associates that have been loyal for many years. My heart goes out to everyone with disabilities trying to find a way to earn a living and get discriminated against. These people need to band together and fight for their rights, and force big companies to take accountability for their discrimination.
I needed a battery put in, Scott was very helpful great and positive while installing the needed battery! Sam was very professional, knowledgeable as she help with the processing the sale. I will definitely comeback for my auto parts needs. Kim S.
From corporate to local store(Homosassa Fl.) Spent $230.00 on a battery and they would not reset the codes, Idiot lights, on my dashboard. Nasty sales associate. Corporate said I would get a callback 24-48 hrs. From store. No callback. Stay away from this store!
Before you buy anything from advanced auto go online and make sure that its not on the list of non refundable items that nobody in the store will tell you about.

They wont tell you at the store or online before you buy something. Also, be aware that some of the items on the list are actually CATEGORIES! Fore example The Bullet point "AC" stands for ANYTHING that's part of, or connected to, the AC system! The only point when you will be told of this list is when you try to return a item and they refuse to process the return. Their only response will be to give you a paper with a number to call. The person behind the counter will say that it might be a quick call, but they know that is a lie, as the company on the other end, (NOT advanced auto) does not have the ability to do anything. The company will only be able to provide a physical street address that you can PHYSICALLY MAIL A LETTER TO! Ending the call by stating very clearly, that they are NOT guaranteeing anything will come of the request if it is mailed. I bought an AC compressor from these people for over 500 dollars, and its now nothing more than a paperweight.
Don't waste your time with this company. Higher price, awful customer service, and they delivery my parts at the wrong location and never gave my money back.
Dont expect them to even fulfill the barest minimum of your order/contract. They deserve to be out of business.
I used to buy only from advance, not alot but when in need. I do believe the person working in shipping gets paid from how many orders called 20 minutes after realized mistake in shipping, was told it was 3 hours to late couldn't cancel. I bought the parts I needed, now the order was shipped said delivered I never received. Was ripped off for 216.00 because of people in the shipping place flat out lying. Had to rate or 1 star is to much. Store itself I have no problem.
The fuel rewards is a joke. If I travel about 30 miles I can get to a station that will MAYBE honor the rewards discount.
The other issue is after you make a purchase you then receive emails about discounts on the product that you just purchased.
I've had my fill of their BS.
