I wish I had read other reviews before purchasing from Sharper Image! I purchased an item and paid $7.95 shipping, which was OK. However, when returning it, I was charged $13.95! With online shopping nowadays, that is ridiculous! I will not be shopping at Sharper Image again! Buyer beware!
My husband ordered a heated gloves for me. It was too big for me and bulky so I tried to order another product that would better fit my needs. I was told that there is no free exchange and I would have to pay shipping back. All you know the representative was not friendly and made it seem like she was doing me a favor by talking to me. I decided to return the product and not bother with exchange and ended up spending almost $30 in shipping. Very disappointed with this company and I would've rather have donated that money to a charity than waste it.
They do not answer phone calls except if you are buying something, so I suggest you call saying you are going to purchase something! They do not answer emails.
I tried to cancel an order within a half hour after I purchased it, I was told by customer service that it was in transit so they could not cancel order. Not sure how an order can be in transit when I don't even have a tracking number?!?! I wanted to cancel this order because Amazon has a sharper image product $130 cheaper than sharper image!

I placed an order and within 10 minutes I call them to dispute the coupon they say saves you money, save 20% today! Tacks back on the shipping charges (after gives you free shipping) you won't notice this until your payment is complete! So you will call them and get someone and a manager telling you the same speech we can not cancel your order. "There's an influx of orders" sorry. Very poor customer serve customer service which is outsourced to India. So you will be very annoyed AND they are going to waste more of your money by making you pay for the item in shipping charges that you are returning.
Sharer Image has theeee WORST customer service ever! What are you paying the reps... peanuts!?... seriously actual peanuts because that's the capacity level... I just tried (twice) to order some items for Christmas. The first time I called the rep (although sweet) was soooo unprofessional I had to hangup I couldn't take the background noise and being put on hold numerous X's. I called right back hoping to get someone more professional & efficient. Not the case. Although nice the next rep was just as clueless and put me on hold a # of times, but I hung there cause I really wanted these items... we got all the way to almost the end and I had her recap the shipping address and my email... omg! It was totally all wrong! I repeated my address, and my email 6 times (seriously) six times and she "still" couldn't get it right... I hung up cause no way I was giving my CC info after that... WOW! Sharper Image is a SCAM! I ordered a "high end" product from their website. Instead of what was advertised, I received a product on a plastic card! I could have purchased the exact, same item at my corner drug store! When I opted to return it (unopened) they charged me $17 return postage! That's insane! So, I returned my ENTIRE PURCHASE instead! I will NEVER AGAIN shop with this company!
I purchased a gift for my gandson, approximately 20 minutes later, I changed my mind, I wanted to cancel the order, they say they DO NOT CANCEL any orders. Once ordered, you are STUCK with it. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WACKY WEBSITE! What a joke! I'd give ZERO stars if allowed.
I used to shop at Sharper Image when they were at the mall so I was excited to see a catalog and ordered over $800 worth of merchandise without checking the stores rating. Just looked at the toolbox that I bought for $189, took out a pair of the pliers and you could probably get them at he discount store for four or five dollars. They were loose, extremely poor quality and the entire toolbox can probably be purchased for less than $30. So I looked up the ratings and saw that this is no longer the sharper image I knew but a front for Chinese stuff that they were dumping through third parties the entire thing is a scam. The return policy is a joke if you open the box to see if the tools are OK you just broke the seal and it is no longer returnable even if you do return it you can only get a gift card or pay an exorbitant restock fee. I'm not going to hassle with this company just going to give all the stuff away and forget they exist; I suggest you do the same
I live in NYC and just ordered a hip therapy wrap with heat and massage from SI last Friday.
Needless to say, I need this gizmo sooner than later to relieve the hip pain that has made me hobble around and have trouble standing up after sitting.
Initially, I got messages saying the package would arrive last Tuesday. That was then -- and this is now -- six days after shipment -- when the package is supposedly in Wyoming (?) and FedEx can't even estimate an ETA any more.

UPDATE: the package finally showed up yesterday, nine days after it was shipped. The good news is the product worked as expected. It also came with a catalog and $25 Gift Card to entice me to buy more stuff.
I took a look at Sharper's prices and -- yikes! -- they're way out of line, comparable to those at Hammacher-Schlemmer but without the lifetime guarantee that outstanding company offers.
So I would buy again from SI only if they offer a product I can't find anywhere else...
Placed a gift order and paid extra for gift bag... needless to say none included when opened by recipient. Customer Service said I would get refunded the amount needless to say I have yet to receive refund and the with the emails going back and forth technically saying I did not request until 1 week ago. Bottom line they stink and then call the customer a liar. I have the stream of emails to follow. Don't waste your time unless of course you have time to waste.
They sent me a defective item, and didn't include my packaging/order slip, I was finally able to submit a refund for a DEFECTIVE item. To which I was informed, a foot massager is a non-refundable item.
I only had the massager for 1 hour!

Beware of these very expensive headphones. Purchased first pair and they worked less than 4 hours. Reached out to return and they were replaced. The second set has stopped working within the warranty period and when getting online to replace their auto return policy says they are not returnable offering no explanation. Extremely frustrated after paying $99. Stay away from Sharper Image-customer service is almost non existent. They won't reply to email via their website.
On October 17 I bought a Snow Cone Party Station for my little nephew and its been over a week and I still have not received it. I tried tracking my order with FedEx with the tracking number Sharper Image supply me with and they tell me that number is not accurate that it can not be found in their system. I called sharper image and they told me that package is in FedEx's possession, that FedEx is running into shipping delays with scanning package in a timely manner to show movement on orders! Isn't that insane! Requested my money back and they told me they cant do that because since my order was shipped and has been assigned a tracking number that CAN NOT be tracked with FedEx, Sharper Image CAN NOT refund my money back! My brother used to buy from them many years ago and that was the reason I purchase my item from them online... but I see they have lost a lot of credibility. I personally will not buy from them again or recommend anyone from buying at Sharper Image.
I bought something with a $25 gift card promo. When I tried to use the promotion, I couldn't use the black Friday promo. My "gift card" can't be used with regular promos. It's one or the other. So why bother. It's just another kind of scam.
I received a Sharper image nut dispenser as a gift. It stopped working after 2 days. I called the company to see about getting it replaced. I called several numbers before I reached the right department. I first explained what happened, troubleshooted by phone as they suggested and gave the model number/ description. I was told I would be sent a replacement. The lady l spoke to finished up taking the information and offered an apology. She also told me someone will follow up with me within 24-48 hours. No one ever called and when l called back I got the run around. It was if I was calling for the first time. They said they couldn't replace it because they needed proof of purchase and l had no receipt. I again told them, it was a gift! They lied and now say they can't send a replacement. They need to take responsibility for their defective products and keep their word. If they told me this when l first called, fine! It's the lying l don't appreciate. I have never used their products and never will. I read many reviews and they have a LOT of negative ones. I told the person I spoke to last at Shaper imagine that they will get a negative review from me. She really didn't seem to care. She should however. There are many dissatisfied customers and word of mouth goes a long way and l have a big mouth!
I remember when Sharper Image meant quality so I was shocked and so angry to learn that the two personal spa items I bought were nothing but junk and that the identical items sell elsewhere for half to a third of Sharper Image's price. The crooks get away with this by telling you can't return opened personal merchandise. Opened does not mean used. What a loophole!

We wanted a refund and they said they will subtract the $18 shipping cost for sending and returning.
Ordered two fans July 2nd. No order confirmation. Days later an order confirmation arrived.
Then nothing. Story short they were out of stock. Then it would be three weeks. Then nothing. When I finally got through to customer service I cancelled my order. She assured me that it was cancelled.
Two days later a confirmation. Here it is August 23 and I get a This order has been shipped. I called and they would not stop the order. Sent me return labels and I have to take two large fans to a drop off. Of cause my credit card has been charged. The lady was extremely rude. I have asked for labels that Fedex will pick up from house and no reply from Sharper Image. WILL NEVER DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. Shame on you Sharper Image. You are not a high end company
I ordered an item from www.sharperimage.com on 7/10, paid the $29.99 for 48 hour shipment and today (7/15) their tracking website shows that the item has not shipped. I called their 1-877 customer service number and was greeted by someone who took my order number, looked up the order and said that it was shipped and it's FedEx fault. I asked when it was shipped because it has been 5 days, so if it was shipped after the 48 hours, I should get my shipping fee returned. He said that he can't find what day it shipped and then said he's not customer service. I don't know what kind of game or scam they're playing, but I want my item or my $199.99 returned!
I ordered from them on 2 of July and have yet to get the package on the 7th of July. Very poor service on everything. Shop local.
