Fraudsters

I had a quote for my laptop and it was later reviewed upon receipt of the machine. After accepting the quote in November 2016, I have still not received my money. All emails and calls to them have proved futile. No one should use this company. Ref no-*******

THIS IS A SCAM
November 4, 2016

I sent my laptop in back in September - I did not receive payment within 10 days so I contacted the company multiple times and received no response. They are a bunch of fraudsters and I have reported them to the police - the case is ongoing and I'm sure there will be some sort of legal case. Probably will never see that money ever again. DO NOT USE!

I used www.sellyourlaptops.co.uk to sell an old Sony Vaio laptop. They quoted me the best price for my old laptop so I used them and received a shipping box the very next day. I posted my laptop using the box and they got back to me two days later. (Which I thought was great and was going well). They'd e-mailed me on the 25th stating that they'd received the laptop and that payment would be made. As of today (4th August) I still haven't received my payment. I have e-mailed them 3 times and tried ringing their phone number with no response from either. Going to have to report them to Action Fraud soon. This is theft. Reference *******

EDIT - Funnily enough, today (5th August) I have woken up to an e-mail from them saying my order is complete. Checked my bank and I've been paid. Happy to have now received my money but the service is shocking.

As youll see with most of the reviews on this site. This company is a nightmare. I have emailed three times asking for information about my LATE payment. Over a month late now and have has zero resopnse from anybody. DO NOT USE.

AWFUL company. All seemed fine when the box arrived quickly, and the laptop was checked within a couple of days of me sending it. 10 days ago I was told I'd be receiving payment (order *******) and despite sending a message have had no response.

You can see for yourself the staff member replying here is brash. People wouldn't complain if your company actually told them when they are due to be paid, instead you leave people waiting.

"All amounts are paid within 7 working days of receiving your laptop not from date of order" is from the T&Cs and is an outright lie.

This guy is in truly serious trouble guys. This ain't stealing candy from a sweet shop, this guy, if we collate all our evidence is facing a legal nightmare unfolding. Aside from anything else I have just been in touch with the charity he 'helps' with his 'donations', and my oh my, this issue aone has heavy time attached. Pm me for a copy of my correspondence with them. From the tiny amount of expert input Ive had from the IT side (ie tracing his business) this is gonna be like ridiculusly easy. Once sorted, from a legal point of view the guy is buried. No way am i being robbed very simple.

People seem oblivious to the seriousness of his criminal activity. He is fraudulently obtaining expensive items from stnagers that contain their MOST SENSITIVE AND DAMAGING MATERIAL AND INFORMATION ON THEM, then stealing these items to them explit in ways we clearly then have no idea abot. The positive side though is that his trail is NEON and hes netted already. Thankfully the tings of value he has stolen are the black an white histoical trail of eviddence against him/them. They going down. Pay us all.

L, I accepted requite and got paid same day into my PayPal..." (review linked to THIS site stoleen from the company they copied name from. Clear as THIS company claims not to deal in paypal.

Unless response is forthcoming along with payment,(order *******) legal action will begin Monday morning. PLease keep the info coming thanks

Total lack of service

Like many others here, I'd sent a Laptop off (*******) which in all fairness was processed quite quickly. However since the order was marked awaiting payment then instantly to complete, no payment has been received and all attempts at communication have gone unanswered.

Luckily I had only sent one of a few machines I wanted to send off and I'd recommend anyone considering using these people to think twice. Will be reporting them to both the police and trading standards.

Update 1st Mar 2016 - This order has still not been paid, and it's now several days past the deadline. I also have to question why SYL feel the need to sit on the money when the laptop was marked as complete weeks ago.

I received an email stating my laptop had been received, Checked and accepted on October 28th after checking the status of my order it says 'Complete' however I have not had any payment. I am finding it impossible to get any response to my emails and calls. I am very concerned after reading reviews on this site that the company may be fraudulent, very disappointed with the customer service as when I first researched the company I found really positive reviews and heard they were a charitable company. Will definitely be taking legal action if no contact persists. Ref: *******

Fraudulent company

Beware and do not use this organisation, as it appears completely fraudulent. I sent my laptop (order #*******) off in late September, and received email confirmation that my laptop was received, checked and approved on 2nd October.

As per the company terms and conditions stated on their website, payment is due to the customer via bank transfer within 7 working days of the machine being accepted. Thus, my payment was due to me no later than 13th October. I waited until the 14th, and emailed their support email to advise I had not received payment and was holding them in breach of contract. I requested that they honour their terms and conditions by making payment of 89GBP as quoted to me, by Friday 16th October. I received absolutely no response.

I fully intend to report this as fraud through the most appropriate channels: Action Fraud, the Trading Standards, as well as seeking advice from the Citizens Advice Bureau and pursuing with legal action.

This is THEFT, plain and simple. Avoid using this website.

I saw "Microsoft approved" on their website and trusted them. They gave me the best quote from rival websites and I was initially happy. The box they sent me was efficient and I sent off my laptop and waited for a response. A few days later I received an email saying my laptop had been received and had been accepted and the "track your laptop" tab on their website showed that my laptops status was complete. It's now been nearly a month and I have received no payment. I've sent multiple emails and have no response. And I have called the number that was on the paper work and goes straight to an answer machine. Considering legal action and absolutely disgusted that people do this. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!

Status on my laptop has changed to completed and saying it was ready for payment on the 5/09/15. Been 9 days now and have emailed twice request payment but have heard nothing back, no contact number or actually email address! Would highly recommend to avoid this company!

Had my laptop and confirmed all okay 19/08.
They will now not answer emails.
Ripped off & should have researched deeper, as got the wrong company (no - between the words).
Totally gutted for my daughter who's laptop it was so she could upgrade.
Angry doesnt cut it for being taken for such a ride.
Will give case to solicitor on monday, as agreed no win no fee

I sent my laptop to them and was told I would get 127 pounds. They said everything completed awayting payment had nothing sent 3 emails no reply and no money if I don't get payment in the next few days I will be taking legal action against the company for recovery of the money or my laptop

After sending daily emails requesting confirmation of when I am to receive payment for my laptop, still no response.

I advised I would allow SYL 7 days grace in order to make payment, despite them already being in breach of contract - the funds weren't received within their stated 7 days from confirmation of laptop being "checked, awaiting payment".

Despite this still no response or funds, so will be taking legal action.

Dreadful service, and I should have known better.

Laptop was marked as checked and accepted on 31/7/2015 still no payment and no response to several emails you certainly know how to make unhappy customers

If that's the case would it not be easier to tell that to the customer and your web site states payment within 7 working days (only just found this on your site)

I've sent in total 3 laptops to them, final value of all of them has been significantly reduced due to some additional "faults" found by them for example: smashed or faulty screen. Screens of laptops which I've sent were in perfect condition Stay away from them, waste of time!
