Laptop was received and marked as 'awaiting payment' on 8/4/15 and I have heard nothing since!
Payment promised within 7 working days and still not been received 2 weeks later.
Have sent numerous emails and had no response!
Their automatic reply to my email says they will respond in 48 hours - again, this is not true! If they are "receiving 2-300 units a day" and can't keep up with their own guidelines they should not be accepting new customers. Completely unacceptable!
No phone number to attempt to call them.
Will be seeking legal advice if payment not received this week!

I thought this was just me but I'm absolutely disgusted with the practice of this company! Over a 2 months ago I asked for a quote this company to sell me Dell Laptop, it wasn't in great condition but it was in perfect working in order. After honestly answering the questions on my laptop I received a immediate quote for £100+ which i snapped up as other places were offering about £65. Sent it over and got a revised quote offering less than half with an excuse of the battery does not take charge and has minor scratches, all of which i was very clear about. I accepted the £47 as I could incur a payment of £14 to receive my laptop back which didn't make any financial sense as other companies could do the same. Accepted this offer and sent a confirmation email to say I've accepted and your cheque will be with you in a few days. A month later, no update, numerous emails sent and to put if plainly apart from an automated email which says there might be a delay in response I'm pretty much being ignored! Typical when a company owes you money. It appears this is normal operation for this company and they could literally care less and probably set up so they can get more money out of their customers thinking that some will eventually give up so they get that money for themselves. I'm putting this on here to see if this is more effective than my 1 million emails and if not i am using this as evidence to take with me to Citizens Advice Because and using all the rest of these emails here on this site as bad practice and reason to take this very seriously.

Unfortunately I had got mixed up the reviews for this site with those of another with a very similar name. It has been over 3 weeks since I received an email stating that my laptop had been accepted and that payment would be sent through. The tracker on the website says that the transaction is complete; however, I have not received the money owed. I've sent several emails since (no phone number supplied) - the first was very polite, but since I have reminded them that they are breaking the law. I've still had no response...

In the terms and conditions it states that "All amounts are paid within 7 working days of receiving your laptop not from date of order." They are in breach of contract, and I will be taking further action against them (they have 2 more working days!)

I am now spreading the word through these websites, my own website, and social media that people should not use this site! Please don't!

When I saw your reviews after I sent my laptop - I got scared that I have been scammed too - I wrote to them after 7 days asking when will the funds will be transferred and although it took three emails I got a reply and the funds were transferred 2 days after.

I feel sorry for all the people that seems to have had a problem with sellyourlaptops.co.uk, but I have to say that in my case everything was just fine and would therefore have no problem recommending them.

I used this site as I never used my laptop and they quoted £170 which I thought was excellent. I was waiting for 10 days to get my money. I sent 4 emails and eventually got paid. I think the problem is that the company can not deal with the volume it actually gets. I did lots of research on the company as I thought I had been scammed. It's not a scam site just a business that is not run very well. But I did get my money so it's a tough one. I won't use them again but they did eventually pay.

I'm giving this site a fair rating of 3 stars, I sent in my laptop after relieving a quote of £105 which was reduced to £67 because I had not filled on the correct specifications, though I was unhappy about this I accepted as it was still significantly higher than quotes I had received elsewhere, a few days after this, I decided to do some research and stumbled across this site with all these terrible reviews, this made me very worried and I decided to email the company about this, he told me he would send my payment within 7 working days, on the 7th day I emailed him in the morning and got a response on the afternoon saying I had been paid, which was correct, I had been paid. All in All, I diddnt really have any issues with this site other than the reduced quote, which was probably my own fault for not correctly filling it in, so I don't understand why so many had an issue with them, I had a decent experience with the company but probably won't use them again just because of the amount of negative reviews on here

I hadn't realised this site was so bad until I read these reviews, I just thought they were being really slow!

I took the advice of another review and wrote in saying "It's been weeks since I sent in my laptop and still haven't got my money. It has been 11 working days since I accepted the revised quote and maybe your policy is 14 working days but it doesn't say that anywhere on your website and upon research I've found out that there are lots of other people who have never received their money.

If I don't receive my money within 48 hours I'm going to report this website as fake and get it shut down to stop more people getting screwed over. I will not stand for this malpractice and I think you're honestly so lucky that this website has lasted so long if it is fake like I believe it to be."

I'd already sent 2 emails that got no reply but with in 20 minutes of sending that, I got a reply. They claim that they had the wrong account number for me which is why I hadn't got my money but why couldn't they have asked me for a different account number sooner or when I'd emailed them before?

I double checked when I put in my sort and account number correctly, I've never made a mistake before so I think they're claiming I put it in wrong to get me off their backs and so I look bad, not them.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't use this company! I can't even explain how much I hope no one ever uses this company again! I'm going out of my way now to persuade everyone to think again when recycling their laptop! Their website looks great, the first review website that comes up looks great, but once you've sent them your laptop, say goodbye to it, and also to receiving any money! I just can't believe people like that are out there! I was very fortunate to now have been paid but this was only after reporting my issue to the police and trading standards and threatening to sue them! This company needs closing down ASAP! I am usually a person who takes a risk and likes to prove people wrong however i BEG you to please read this and don't use them!

After receiving my laptop and sending me a 'checked, awaiting payment email' on 11/07/14 I still haven't received any payment although the website is showing my order status as 'Complete' there is no phone number to speak to anyone and they have ignored at least 4 emails from myself inquiring about this.
I'm definitely worried I've been conned now after reading this thread and will be contacting trading standards and watchdog if I don't hear anything in the next few days.
