Just received an email that our tickets would no longer be valid at the venue. Was informed that in 4 days we could get a refund. Only thing I can think now is that the tickets from there own site, appear to have doubled in value since we purchased them a year ago. So much for morals! Purchased for our 15th at old's Christmas present, along with booked hotel and flights, and to cancel 3 days before the concert? Totally criminal. Unregulated industry that needs government oversight. Crazy they can be in business.
So, long and short, if you buy tickets, don't ever really expect them not to be cancelled if the venue price goes up and they can make a quick and dirty buck. Appalling.
I purchased tickets to Jerry Seinfeld in 2019 (Pre-Covid). The event was scheduled for 2020. Eventually it got canceled. A year later they email me telling me the event was rescheduled for 2022 and the tickets I received are the same tickets to be used for the new date. Unfortunately for me I had lost the tickets and they are no where to be found. I've been trying to get in touch with SeetGeek for the past three months now to either get me a set of new tickets or reimburse me. No one can help me. They tell me every time I call that they are escalating the case and no one will call me back. Every time I call back a new customer service rep picks up and tells me the same thing. The event is next week and it is unbelievable they can not provide me tickets, a refund, or even an answer! I will never use SeetGeek again their customer service is awful! Best to buy tickets from Ticketmaster or the host of the event. If there's an issue they can at least help.
In the process of making a purchase their website froze, I backed out of the site and purchased from another site I am more familiar with. Bought the only two tickets on the same row that these clowns ended up charging me for. Asked for a credit within minutes of the error and they have refused. Not sure how they can sell me tickets for seats I already purchased. Stay tuned!
I ordered tickets for a concert and never received them. I got an email saying to watch out for another email/link to get my tickets but it never came. I downloaded the apps, still no tickets. Worst of all, I have spent hours in chats with representative, sent them screen shots, etc. still nothing. DO NOT ORDER TICKETS THROUGH SEAT GEAK!
I ordered wheelchair seats to a Padres playoff game. SeatGeek sent me the wrong seats (they were NOT in the wheelchair row), so I returned the seats and was able to successfully purchase wheelchair seats one section over to the same game. When the game was cancelled, instead of giving me a FULL REFUND to my credit card (which they are required to by California law), they said that since I'd used the promo code from the first transaction to buy the second set of seats that I was not eligible for a cash refund. I spent 2 weeks and over 8 hours speaking with customer service via chat and on the phone. I still do not have a refund. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER.
I ordered tickets to the Tennessee and Kentucky in a month advance when they were some what cheap and they proceed to seek my tickets to someone else for double the price
First and last experience with this laughable company. Purchased tickets 7 months before a concert that I would have to travel to. Mobile ticket transfer can't happen until the day before the concert (which was not told at the time of purchase and would have made me not buy since there was no chance of resale if plans changed). Fast forward with zero communication to the day before the concert. Even though it says on my account the tickets have finally been transferred to my email. They have not. And upon finally getting a hold of someone, they tell me the tickets went back to the seller ages ago and I can rebuy tickets. When it was THE NEXT DAY. What a joke. Never use this service.
I bought Game 5 for NLDS series and the game never occurred. It has been a complete hassle to get the money back. Every other ticket seller automatically refunds for the games that were maybe games. Definitely avoid.
I can't believe these people are in business. We purchased tickets only to find out that the exact tickets are not in their position and their response was we will get you others and split your group of 6 instead of all together. When we ask for a refund so we can reorder with a far more reputable ticket broker, there response was NO. They said we know owned the tickets that did not exist. They also said that if we forced the issue on a refund that they will make us very "frustrated". Incredible that actually put that in writing and think they can get away with it. This is fraud of the worst kind. Amazing there is not more regulation in this industry. Stay away!
They will rob you and not tell you the fees until you have already paid. Support told me "I am just support I cannot help you"
I bought through seat geek and they took my money and then told me that the tix would come to me a few days prior to the Hall and Oats concert in Laughlin on October 22 2022. Well they said that they did transfer the tickets but I never got them and now they are saying they can not re issue new tickets to me. So I have been on hold for about 45 minutes waiting for a manager to speak to and still holding. No one in this organization is from the US so very hard to understand. They make you do a chat for the first 2-3 times you contact them then they finally provide a number to call. But they still send you in circles asking me to go to Ticketmaster to retrieve the tickets I bought through them. It is looking like I may not get my tickets and would lose out on the event I have been waiting since Covid hit to go to. They are even saying they won't give me my money back but will instead give me credit for a future event.! What a racket! I am reporting them and if you guys are looking for a class action lawsuit please count me in. I am livid! Absolutely disgusting company
I would give negative stars if I could! The night before our event, which we paid just over $6k for, we still hadn't received the tickets. So I messaged SeatGeek and after having to message 3 different techs was told our seller is no longer giving us the tickets. We were NEVER notified prior to me having to reach out! We had to take time off work, we traveled 5+ hours, just for the event. It was the worst business transaction ever. They wouldn't find us replacement tickets and even said you can find your own when you get your refund (3-5 days later-after the event took place). I recommend people to NEVER use or trust SeatGeek.
That was a concert 2.5 hours away that I bought tickets for through seatgeek, as a present for my daughter. When I purchased the tickets, I got the confirmation from the seller that I would receive the tickets. 24 hours prior to the concert I had not received the tickets. I contacted seatgeek's customer service and they said all they could do was contact the seller. The day of the concert I still did not have the tickets. After spending 6 hours on the phone where I was put on hold for 60 minutes and then hung up on multiple times when I asked to speak to a supervisor, I was finally given an answer to the situation that there were never any tickets and they would refund me my money. Not only did it cause major anxiety and stress, I also had to inform my daughter that we would not be going to a concert for her birthday, less than 3 hours before it started. I was given a refund for the tickets and that is all. Nothing else to compensate me or my daughter for the stress and trauma they caused. Not to mention that I was never allowed to talk with a supervisor because they were in a "meeting" all day. If they had informed me prior to the day of the concert, when I called, I would have been able to purchase other tickets, but the day of, they were all sold out.
My experience with SeatGeek has been absolutely terrible. They refuse to refund under any circumstances then wait until the last minute to send your tickets so it is too late to resell. Terrible.
Using SeatGeek for the first time was definitely easy, but I do regret that there was an issue with what I feel were hidden fees. During the entire transaction, I never saw that the app would charge me $30 per ticket as a service fee until the very end. As you are going through the process, your attention is held to the left of the screen, including the last "Confirm" button. Sadly, just as I hit that button to confirm my purchase, I realized (too late) that on the right was a running tally of the charges. Talk about a surprise! My total for 5 $68 tickets to a college football game came to almost $500! Couldn't cancel or request a refund. I was SOL. Buyer beware, and make sure you are reading EVERYTHING before you click "confirm". And just so you know, they have a hidden a 20% off discount coupon for first-time users in a post about whether their services are legit or not. Again, didn't see it in time for it to do me any good, but maybe it'll work for you!
Terrible terrible service! Do not use. (I don't want to give any stars but have to in order to give my review.) I bought tickets several months ago for a game as a present for our twin boys. We also also had to arrange for transportation and hotel so we put a lot of money into this for the game. They say the venue won't release the tickets until the day before for security but it really is just a scam. The morning before the event we get a notice saying our tickets are no longer available so we can have a refund (which is usually just credit, not money back) or we can accept other tickets, which were not as good, but we would not receive the difference in cost. Having already paid for the hotel and transportation, not to mention two disappointed kids, I really didn't have too much of a choice. SeatGeek told me I accepted their terms. Really? I agreed to being scammed us out of $500 and bad seats? The day before the event? Very bad business practice. I will never use again and I will definitely make sure I tell others not to use their services ever as well.
I ordered for the 1st time tickets from seat geek for monster jam.
The weird thing is they sent them from a random person's name dumb person's name see attached picture.
I spent days and hours trying to get my tickets put into the inbox. I also spent a lot of time with chat.
Also trying to get to a human person to talk about it. What a joke! I WORST CUSTOMER!
HORRIBLE APP.
I was going to cancel the tickets and dispute it with my credit card but it was for my 2 and a 1/2 year old boy who was looking forward to this event.
I would not recommend seat geek unless, you have no other alternative.
Customer service is HORRIBLE! Bought tickets to an event that was canceled. Instead of getting my money back seat geek went the refund route. The amount of the refund was enough to pay for another event and still have a bal. I've been trying to get in contact with an actual person can help me out and explain where the the rest of the refund go and why I can't use the remaining bal credit for another ticket?
Despite what they say when you buy a ticket there are no "cash" refunds. They will only give you a credit and that credit can only be used once. If you buy a ticket for something less expensive then you forfeit the rest you already paid. AND you only get a year to use it. Not what they lead you to believe.
Worst customer experience ever! No direct # to call to talk to anybody! Have to communicate via chat or email and there are a bunch of idiots that work there that are no help at all! I wanted to exchange my tickets for another date due to Hurricane Ian and takes 3 days for them to look at it only not accommodate!
Answer: Shana is correct, Seat Geek takes no responsibility for tickets and have no customer service and will not return calls if things do not work out Stub Hub is much better
