Bought NY Yankees' tickets on SeatGeek, but did not realize that the Yankees no longer accept printed e-tickets, only those on mobile devices. As I do not have this capability, first Matt helped to arrange having the actual tickets shipped to me. Then Miranda, in response to my question, clearly explained how I could order future Yankee tickets without experiencing the same problem. I then easily and successfully purchased Yankees' tickets for another game on SeatGeek. Both Miranda and Matt were outstanding and exceptionally helpful. SeatGeek is fortunate to have them as employees
I loved being able to find great seats in the perfect spot, and getting those tickets at a great price! Then just 'scan and go' when I hit the gates of the stadium. SO EASY!
Bought some tickets to Wicked in New York for a Saturday night 8:00 showing. When my confirmation came through it said that I had bought tickets for a Wednesday night 7:00 showing. I called seat geak and they said they couldn't help me at all and to go and talk to the box office which I did. The box office couldn't help because I bought the tickets through seat geek. I asked her if this kind of thing happened a lot and she said "It happens all the time." Called seat geek back and told them what the box office had said and they told me that they had more tickets for Saturday night and in order to reimburse me my money I had to buy the tickets for Saturday nights show which were over $150 more than the original price. I asked the seat geek representative if it would be possible for someone to list their tickets online for a certain night and have the actual tickets be for a different night. Long story short, he confirmed to me that this would be possible. So, pretty much, seat geek will let certain buyers post their tickets online without verifying that the tickets are actually for the date posted. Now we're out $250 dollars with no show. If I could give negative stars I would.
I always check Seat Geek first for tickets. It is rare for me to exhaust Seat Geek options before turning to TM. I love how they rank tickets based on it being a good/bad deal compared to face value. Super helpful in making a decision! The app is easy to use, and great for narrowing down specifics about tickets to be purchased.

Every time I have purchased tickets everything went very smoothly. I have enjoyed my experience thus far very much.
I bought tickets to a concert that said instant download and the tickets didn't arrive instantly so I called and they told me they had my order and it would take 15 minutes. Still they didn't arrive so I called again took 30 minutes to reach someone and they told me they had to put me on hold to call the seller and see if he would confirm the sale. They then came back and said the seller didn't have the tickets so I was out of luck and they couldn't do anything about it. Now by the time all this happened after being told my order was confirmed the concert was an hour and a half away and I couldn't get anymore tickets that weren't double the price. So basically this site allows sellers to put tickets on there and then wait and see if they get a better price and then screw over people who think they have purchased tickets. Seat geek told me a seller has 24 hours to confirm a sale so the seller can sell the tickets to numerous people at different prices and then just accept the best offer within that 24 hours and deny the rest of them without any penalty to the seller. I asked what the time limit policy is for the seller on a purchase for an event on the same day and the person had no answer for me they just said they try to contact the seller and tell them to supply the tickets as soon as they can. Basically the moral of this story is to never buy from seat geek and to stick with stub hub because they don't allow the seller to take multiple offers or sales without penalizing then and making them compensate a person who has purchased tickets from them. Also seat geek knew they were in the wrong and immediately after I spoke to them the confirmation emails for my order disappeared and there was no trace of my purchase. Very sketchy way to do business and terrible customer service. In the end we missed the concert and learned a very valuable lesson. I hope this never happens to anyone else because it ruined our entire trip
Hi Jeff. Thanks for taking the time to leave this review, and we'd definitely like to explain further the process with which orders are placed, confirmed/rejected, and then fulfilled.
When you submit an order request through SeatGeek, that request is then forwarded to the seller of the tickets and goes into a pending stage. From there, the seller checks to see if they still have the inventory available. As most sellers list their tickets on multiple platforms, they unfortunately do have to reject orders from time to time when the tickets have already been claimed by another buyer. This is rare, but does happen, especially for last-minute orders as the volume of ticket orders increases. That being said, we also want to clarify that tickets are instant download after confirmation.
I do see that this order was placed with a third-party vendor, FanXchange. It also appears as though a SeatGeek representative reached out to FanXchange to request they expedite the confirmation or rejection for the order, which is not common practice. We, again, do sincerely apologize that these tickets were no longer available once your order came through. We do our best to keep our listings as up-to-date as possible, and order rejections are put in place to avoid situations where sellers double sell their tickets. We have ordered tickets three hours before game time, hopped on Metrolink, and got to the game an hour before game time. Love it!
I wish the added fees were shown before checkout so you know exactly how much you'll spend. Tickets vary as to the fees attached to them.
Hey Michelle--that's an easy fix! Just make sure that when you're on the app, you have the tickets filtered to "Show Prices with Fees". If you're using the website, just toggle the option and make sure prices "With Fees" are shown! That way, when you go to checkout, we'll know the exact price you're paying per ticket and won't be surprised!
