Awhile back I did a review on BJ's wholesale ware house. Well Sam's club is very much like BJ's. There are some differences in the stock they carry. Sam's has a great electronics department and good deals on appliances. The have bulk items just as BJ's does but both have there own inventory. Sometimes what you can't find at BJ's, Sam's may have and vice versa. I love going to the clubs because I save on food items that come in bulk. I know everyone cannot have food shipped because it may spoil. But the non perishable items are worth getting. A few times I bought 5lb tubs of soap powder that lasted for months. I have looked at flat screen tv's when they first came out and found a 27 inch Sony for my bedroom that I love. The price at Sam's was $150.00 cheaper than a regular store like Circuit City, Sears, and Target. I shop around for deals all the time. These warehouses can offer things at a very low price because they buy in bulk. I hope this helps people to save money. They are very fare if you don't like something and will return it with ease. The membership for the year is worth the savings. I know that all people can't visit the store but I have shopped with both online and the orders arrived when they said they would. Before placing any order they will let you know if something is out of stock and if they will get it back again. They will supply a date of arrival for an item you may want. If they cannot get it back they have also offered me another similar product and matched the price. I love Sam's club http://www.samsclub.com

I was working with my business partner who had the Sam's Club membership and I ordered a pop-up canopy for our outdoor expos. I input my credit card information and the billing address was declined. I called the national call center and they told me it was because their online ordering system only uses the first five digits of the zip code, and NOT the zip + 4. They actually instructed me to call my credit card company and remove the zip + 4 from my billing address! I told them that the Zip + 4 insured that any statements and new cards would be delivered to me and not elsewhere in town. There are mailboxes across town with the same numbers but have a different zip + 4 address. I told them that such misdelivered mail could lead to identity theft and credit card theft, and that they were instructing their shoppers to make their bank and credit accounts less secure. I asked to speak to a supervisor and never got a call back. When I called their call center again, they claimed they could not open the account to view or add any notes even though I had an open incident. When I asked to speak to the person I worked with before, they claimed that person was not in their call center and they had no way of getting a message to him. In this day of global networking, a company that cannot communicate from one office to another and refuses to use zip + 4 in their ordering system is way behind the times. I will never get a club membership and will not be ordering from their online system..

TRAVEL: RIP OFF REPORT! PROMISED GIFTCARDS-GIVING RUN AROUND - WE BOOKED A CARNIVAL CRUISE FOR JAN2-5 THRU SAMS CLUB TRAVEL BECAUSE THEY WERE GIVING 50 DOLLAR GIFT CARDS PER ROOM 6-8 WEEKS AFTER CRUISING. WE HAVE CALLED SAMS CLUB TRAVEL SEVERAL TIMES FIRST THEY STARTED SAYING WE SHOULD BE RECIEVING THEM BY THE END OF THE WEEK 3 DIFFERENT TIMES THEN WE WERE TOLD THEY ARE JUST A LITTLE BACKED UP. NOW WE CALLED A MOTH LATER AGAIN AND THEY SAY THEY HAVE NO UPDATE TO GOVE US. DON'T BOOK THROUGH SAMS CLUB TRAVEL OR AT LEAST DONT EXPECT THEM TO FUFILL THEIR SALES PROMISES. THEY ARE RIPPING PEOPLE OFF. MANY
