I don't like the card. You should't have to have a special card to shop here! This is why I go to Walmart.
As a business owner in Ocala Florida I'm one of many with a business membership at sams club. My current membership is good until 2/19, or so I thought.
It has come to my attention that they are changing memberships. It will be either a basic or a plus. To have the plus membership is now $100. A year versus $45.00 a year. If I want to upgrade now it's $30. More but then next year it's $100. As a result I can no longer shop at 7 AM.
If they want to change memberships, that's fine. I do not feel that it is right to change customers memberships before they come up for renewal. I sent an email to the corporate office - there response. They sent me back the renewal information and said if I wish to cancel I can call an 800 number! Really! Are you kidding me? I responded and explained they never addressed my questions, I'm not stupid I know what the memberships are.
As far as I'm concerned it's more indication of sams club greediness. They've attempted countless times to get me to upgrade. I have no need for an upgraded membership. Maybe others feel the same way so now they want to force it on customers. No one forces me into anything.
Personally I wish Costco would come to Ocala Florida and give sams cluba run for their money.
If anyone agrees with me send corporate an email let them know how customers feel about this change and the way they are going about it.
So, it may seem like a great idea to use your free plus member benefit and have items shipped. It isn't a great idea at all. Head to the store or even better, use a shipping retailer that knows what they are doing like Amazon. I ordered 3 items recently and chose to have them shipped because I didn't need them for a week or so. When the box showed up only one of my items was inside. The box said it weight 24.85 pounds, when I picked it up from FedEx it weighed 3.70 pounds. They also tried to tell me that three large items fit into a 13x11x8 box. One item fit inside. Dealing with their chat to get my items or a refund was a whole other level of ridiculous. Get the item in the store or use a different e-tailer to get your items. This isn't a "benefit" at all.

The online chat session for information on my account has changed for the worst. When I say worst I mean the information I requested was not accurate from your rep.
And it required a lot more work on my part to correct the bad information I was given. This is the second
WE are very satisfied with Sam's club until recently. I check online each time my monthly bill is about ready to be paid. I use the chat session (when a live person is available) to check to see if my balance for the month is complete. Two months ago You changed the chat session... now a (non live person) comes on and gives information which is not what I am looking for... you have to listen to non important information for me... finally on the screen pops up to chat with a live rep. I patiently awaited to be connected to this live person for 20 minutes and not connected I hang up. I believe if this is a $$$ saving event... you made a bad choice. How many customers may you lose because of the bad chat session? This has been the second month with frustrations on the chat session that was inept.
I resented the Checker's sales pitches and offers in check-out. It took everything I had to not tell the Checkers off. But I knew that they are instructed to molest the customers this way. After several shopping trips, I stopped shopping at Sam's Club. I felt as if I wasn't a human being and customer, but instead a bag of money that Sam's Club is prepared to fight for. Gone are the days when customers were appreciated and the employees were friendly human beings. Now? It's all about extracting as much money as they can, before you leave the store. And their prices aren't much of a deal anymore, either.
I no longer shop at Sam's Club. I got tired of having to wait in line to leave the store while someone checks through my cart to make sure I haven't stolen anything. That is really, really offensive.
Sams Club has good merchandise, very clean, has sales every month the sales personal are very helpful if you have questions. Love the samples they have
So my wife had a leak in her tire and I read about how Sams Club will fix your leak no matter if the tire purchase was through them or some other dealer.
So i sent my wife alone up there and low and behold the tire was unfixable and she would need a new one that would costs$180 a tire.
SAMS CLUB said the Tire was unfixable and would need to purchase a new one but didnt have the same one as her other but could get her a package deal on 4 BLAH BLAH BLAH
I told her to have them put her spare on and leave.
After that she went to Auto Tire up the road where i have taken my vehicles many times and guess what, 20 min later and $20 spent she drove home with a fixed tire And kept what would have been over $700 in our pocket!
AND GET THIS, later after leaving one of the workers had put a note in her car stating if she didnt have a husband that she should call him and left his number!
More worried about hooking up than actually doing a honest job!

They delivered the wrong bed and frame to my disabled brother. I tried to get them to send the correct frame and/or change out the mattress for over two months now. This was suppose to be a Christmas present. No exchange. No refund. Nothing! I have spent countless hours on the telephone and emails to try and get this fixed. They keep telling me I will receive a call for the pickup of the wrong merchandise... The call never comes... They stole my money ($1500) -- not including -- delivery charges. This is the worst company ever! Do not buy anything from SamsClub.com. I am now having to get an attorney and sue them to get my money back.
I have tried everything possible and NOTHING. Not even a letter from my attorney worked. They refuse to process a refund unless I drive across town to the store which will actually cost me more in gasoline and time than the refund is worth. So They have defrauded the church out of it's hard-earned funds and created an impossibly difficult 'refund' procedure that ensures they don't actually have to provide a refund.
There is a reason I don't shop at Sam's
When looking for catered food for a church party, we looked at Sam's Club and found some lovely-looking sandwiches, wraps and fruit-trays. What we received for our money was nothing like what was described. The sandwiches were dry, the wraps were so spicy not even our jalapeno-loving parishioners could eat them and the fruit tray was, not only NOT what we paid for which was their high-end model, but the fruit was either on the verge of rotting or so green it was inedible. We didn't have time to take the stuff back (a 20-mile drive) so we did what we could to salvage the food, prepared some other items on our own and ran with it. However, I did try to get a refund for the price difference (we paid nearly double for the high-end trays we didn't get) between the fruit trays we ordered and the fruit trays we received. We ordered online and, so, foolishly thought we could simply get a credit back to the account we used to pay. No such luck. We were told we had to drive to the store to get the refund! So I called Corporate and was told they would process the refund for us. 6 weeks later, I get an e-mail from an area manager who reiterated that we have to drive 40 miles roundtrip to get this refund!
Horrible food, out and out deceit on the fruit trays AND a demand that we drive 40 miles for a refund they rightfully owe us?!
Also, when I tried to submit a review on the Sam's site they refused to publish it. Apparently they only publish GOOD reviews so what you are seeing as ratings are not the REAL thing.
This is nothing short of deliberate scam to defraud the customers out of their hard-earned money! I will never go there again and recommend no one else try either. Pay the slightly higher prices for someone more reputable.
I love shopping at Sam's club. It's my kind of place. Great prices, great merchandise, easy returns.
Always great prices, service, delivery. 100% of the time, in my experience. I've never had an issue, but my mother got the wrong brand of something, it was fixed the next day!
I ordered a TV from Sam'sClub.com 11/23 which was to be delivered between 11/30 and 12/1. December 1st came and went no TV. Contacted online support and was told there was a slight delay but it would arrive no later than 12/5.12/5 came and went still no TV. Shipping info online just says "shipped" no delivery date or other details. Called customer service and spent an hour and a half on the phone only to gain no new information. I was told a "high priority" ticket was entered and that i would be contacted with an update. No contact was made so I called back again. The woman I spoke to was extremely rude and told me there was nothing she could do besides give me a refund. I asked if she could transfer my call to someone who could help me and she then proceeded to just transfer me back to the main menu.
So bottom line still no answers, no estimated delivery, no product a week after it was scheduled to arrive. As an added bonus customer service is slow, rude and generally unhelpful. Never again.
Never enough cashiers to check everyone out. Pric s confusing due to not labeling containers. Have to buy somethings in too large of full.
My grandma takes me shopping with her at Sam's club because she has a membership and I love how big the store is and all the huge quantities of food you can buy. The value is really great and you get a lot more for your money for things that you buy all the time.
Once a week since 1995. Great store to shop in. All the basics in food and cleaning stay mostly static and they have enough new stuff to keep their offerings worth checking out.
Descent pricing structure.
I always find unique gifts at Sam's club. The portions are really great. Wish I had become a member long ago.

Answer: Sams club has no customer service. Costco is the way to go
