Employee rude and racist
January 30, 2021

On 10th and long beach in front of Superior market there are two stands one is safelink and the other assurance. On Sat 1/30/21 around 10am an employee of safelink was being super rude to the employee of assurance. My nephew was the first to notice the safelink talking smack to the assurance we went in the store not thinking any of it but we come out side and the safelink is telling us that the assurance person is selling people information to dont get a phone from her to go to safelink. We dont need a phone but then she started being racist toward the employee of assurance and telling people all sort of things about the employee of assurance. I get competion is competion but to do it the was she was WAS NOT OK! The employee of ensurance didn't even said anything to the safelink girl that kept being rude. After hearing racist slurs we final got out of our car ask the assurance person if she needed help as the safelink employee continue yelling and saying things to the assurance employee. All the assurance employee said was I am going to call my supervisor. We told the other employee of safelink that was there that his coworker was harrassing the employee of assurance he did try calling her or said anything to her. We stood there for sometime to make sure things didn't escápate. But over all racist and being rude the way she was was not at all ok.

Called up to ask a simple question. When I got to the end, the woman on the phone sat and breathed heavily into the phone. I asked if she was there and she responded by continuing to huff into the phone like an old-time phone pervert or something. I asked if she was trying to be funny and why she was doing that, and she kept doing it. I told her I was going to hang up and call back if she didn't stop and she continued. I called back and asked to place a complaint. The woman told me she could do so once she pulled up my account. Once that was done and I asked again to place the complaint, she said she couldn't because "I don't know her." Don't know her? You're customer service at a telephone company, you have no records of who takes what calls? Preposterous. She then told me that she had to hang up on me because the call "wasn't business related." A complaint from a customer about being treated rudely by customer service isn't business related? Well, there you have it. Their customer service can talk to you any way they want and do anything they want because apparently nobody there "knows" anyone else, and records don't exist, and customer complaints aren't business related. I called back and had them shut my account down. Absolutely pathetic.

DROP THESE IDIOTS, LIKE A HOT POTATO, AT ONCE!

Never ever have experienced such discord. 6 phone calls in two days to address minutes and data not being added to my account... once finally my minutes were added, they took away my data, then vice versa... totally incapable of correctly adding both at once, and now they completely deleted my 2.5gb of data within 2 minutes, and tell me that I need to purchase more data... total joke... left hand has no clue what the right hand is doing... and they dont seem to have notes from the prior reps I spoke to...

I just signed up for another provider, where I dont have to no longer deal with Safelinks bs, as soon as my new sim card arrives... Thank God!

Horrible service
April 2, 2020

The worst service ever! At present the call center is located in the Philippines. If you call for any reason they will wipe your minutes, your unlimited texts and your date. Takes so many called to them and every agent tells you something different. I think they enjoy doing everything they can to make it impossible for you to receive your service. When I first started out with them their call center was in Mexico and at least I got my benefits on the 1st of the month like clockwork but, now they say it takes up to five days. The phones are the cheapest and they don't work well at all. Having to stand outside to catch a signal is terrible. If it's raining forget about using the phone. I find it sad that the present call center and the people who work there don't realize that if not for us they would have no job. If SafeLink is an American owned company I just want to say shame on you for using foreign countries as call centers because, you can get away with paying them little money and also take jobs away from Americans. At present I have no way to contact anyone and we are in a Pandamic. I will be looking into getting service from another provider that I will have to pay for even though I am disabled and really can't afford it but, at my age I need a phone as we all do. How I miss the good old days when we had land lines and not all this cell phone crap. SafeLink your terrible and unethical.

F**k Safelink
April 10, 2019

I thought Safelink replaced stolen or lost phones. I could've sworn I saw that in their Terms of Service. People do actually read that, lol. Anyway, I called Technical Support and explained to whatever gender that person was, that I lost my phone. I'd hear seconds of silence, as if s/he expected me to explain anymore. So I wait for almost 3 minutes, just to be told that they don't replace lost or stolen phones, and I would have to buy one. I got pissed, and just hung up on the whatever while s/he was talking. They tried calling me back but I kept hanging up on them. What's the damn point of talking to me anymore after explaining to me that y'all want people's money? The cheapest phone they have available is $65. Are you kidding me?!? The phone I did have before I stupidly lost it was around $30. They can kiss my $#*! because they aren't getting my money. If I had money like that to spend on a phone, I would've never signed up for their service. I know what I read, and in their terms of service, it was explained that they will replaced a lost/stolen phone only once. That was my first time losing that phone, but I've learned my lesson. I hope that one day my husband and I are living financially well enough to where we don't need the government's assistance. It's a joke to me, and an embarrassment for me.

It's okay...
November 30, 2018

This company really makes it hard to get approved. I would recommend if you desperately need a free cell phone... just focus on the object at hand.

I'm 4 Safelink except u deal w/ crappy Tracfone maze of support. If u have Safelink and can get a second phone (which deflates the purpose) get that 2nd. Phone w/ another company. U will need a 2nd phone # or friend/family members # 2 to fix your phone. Plus Tracfone employees r the meanest/rudest people u can deal w/ they seem to take pleasure in watching u dangle and if u can, always call them from ur phone@ 611 so u don't use up ur minutes on hold.
