I will do my best to avoid any company using royal mail for delivery. Ordered something with next day delivery and I am still waiting for the item to be delivered after days. I try to track the item and it says that it hasn't even moved from their depot.
Awful experience ordered something more than 3 weeks ago and still not arrived just sat at the sorting centre. Choose to go on strike during busiest times of the year. Get them gone! Ridiculous company. If I could give them no stars I would.
Too many parcels post have went missing, final letter sent cheque and V5C to Swansea 2 weeks ago missing nothing on tracking to say any parcels letters sent arrived or even made to transit and they want a pay rise yet can't deliver.
You guys absolutely suck at everything, from service to delivery. Why even call your self a business especially "royall" you disrespect the title completely more like royal bs
Received some records I had ordered today - through the post... Yes! - today, a Sunday! - and from the Royal Mail no less! And they weren't two months late.! Will wonders never cease?
Am off to pour myself a quick snifter before lying down for a rest so as to recover from the shock.
Credit where it's due. If this kind of service continues the Royal Mail may still be in existence this time next year!
On the 22nd August I ordered some products from Grey Haze - a reliable company whose packages normally arrive within a couple of days. My order finally arrived this lunchtime, over a fortnight late. In this time I have been unable to track my order: I was simply informed "an update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item" and "Sorry, we're not able to retrieve tracking information for this item."
I realise that the delivery was affected by the strikes of 26 & 31 August but that's no excuse (reportedly, of the backlog of delayed mail, RM24 was given priority over RM48). My only (very meagre) consolation is that my parcel arrived a day before the next two-day strike begins.
This is the second time I have chosen to complain within the last month (my former complaint concerned a postman who delivered my packages to the wrong address).
I commiserate with the strikers and their demand for better pay but, sadly, if this is the service offered by Royal Mail Parcels, combined with its unwillingness to offer the service of rival companies, I suspect it will go the same way as the Dodo.
I, for one, won't miss it.

P.s. I don't expect the civility of a reply - I didn't receive one the last time I complained and consider rudeness and mediocrity to be ingrained within the Royal Mail.
Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed 1pm - is a complete con - item posted on Tuesday 13th September - 2 days have passed and still no update on the tracker - if anything postman's wages should not increase at all!
All our sacks of mail were collected and only 1 parcel from in those sacks has been scanned. So when you ask about the others they say we cant tell you as there is no tracking 3 hours later and still no-one can tell me where these sacks were taken to. I assume they know the dates they are striking for more pay.
I wish i could get paid for not doing my job.
Royal Fail must be the largest failing company in the UK, they sell a product called Tracked 48, but do not honour the name, their excuse for not delivering yet after 7 days is "It is an aim, not a guarantee" and when they don't know if the parcel has been lost/delivered wrongly or where it is, the Tracked part you pay for security, means absolutely nothing. Try and find a customer service person who gives a damn? They read robotic scripts and haven't a care or a clue. A total disgrace
Ordered a few items from Ebay, from separate sellers, got message via Ebay, to say they had been delivered, but they hadn't been fighting over a week to get an explanation, they have ignored all contact, and they can't tell me where they dropped it. This Sorting office in Edinburgh Must be the worst in UK, everything takes 1-2 days longer, than my home sorting office, to be delivered, several packages go missing, and they have no time or interest in resolving customers complaints.
In 2month time I lost 2 parcel, one lost, another been delivered wrong address, suppose to delivered 05/03/2022 I spoke today with royal mail costumer service they said been delivered wrong address, unprofessional at all.
In November last year a Royal Mail delivery person damaged my securely paddlocked storage unit, which I only purchased in the May, by forcing the corner up and squeezing a parcel into it.
After several emails back and forth Royal Mail asked for witnesses to the damage, my answer was as the unit is situated in my back garden the only witness would be my neighbour and if they were in the garden surely the delivery person would have given the parcel to them rather than try and put it into a paddlocked unit.
They asked for a photo of the card which I sent and it clearly states that the parcel was left in my unit.
They also want two quotes to get it fixed but I could find no-one who would do this.
I received an email today saying that they asked the delivery person and he denies putting in my storage unit and that's the end of my complaint.
That's not what the card says and the parcel was in the unit.
I am furious these companies just think they can do what they want and get away with it.
I've been waiting for a special package for over a week when I checked the tracking and found out, it is just in the next state which is only an hour away. Two days later, I am wondering where my package is. I check and find out that my package is now across the country in sacramento?! What a waste of time and resources. Shame on you, royal mail! They should all be ashamed. I got a package from France in 3 days, less than a month ago. They desperately need to reevaluate how they route deliveries and whomever is in charge of creating and running this pathetic excuse for a system should be punished and replaced immediately.
Appalling service. Requested a parcel collection from my home as we are shielding. Website stated it would be collected by 3pm Tuesday. No collection occurred but did get email at 7pm apologising and link to rebook. Rebooked for Wed (by 3pm). Still no collection and no email at all that evening! Rang RM CSU Thursday but after waiting 45 minutes I gave up. Had to risk going to the P. O. the next day. Won't be using Royal Mail again!
One big mess, packages that do not belong to me come to me and my packages go to someone else
Customer service are useless and it takes 1 hour on the phone to reach them.
Expected my 24hr delivery parcel last Friday, but didn't receive it. OK, that's fine. I waited the 3 day weekend and expected it on Tuesday... but didn't receive it. Wednesday? Nope. Thursday? Surely? Nope. But I got a great email telling me it would be delivered on Friday morning between 8 and 12! Fantastic!
So I get up at 7:45, go downstairs and sleep on the sofa, because my postie will post a 'you weren't in!' card if I don't reach my door in a millisecond. Did I receive it on Friday, one week after the supposed delivery date, during a time slot royal mail said it would be delivered? Of course not. Its stuck at my city's mailing office at 2am and is apparently in transit to my local delivery office. Not sure whose city is so huge it takes 10 hours to drive a mile.
Never had anything on time from Royal mail, ever. Still using the covid excuse 2 years on instead of adapting and changing. 70% of the letters I've sent in the past year with 1st class stamps on have gone missing. I avoid using the service as much as I can but some retailers only offer you RM delivery. If its a package delivered by royal mail, you know you will be paying through the roof for even a chance to see your item within the next 6 months. Not sure how they haven't gone bust, but one can only hope and pray they will, and be replaced by a company that is capable of actually managing post and delivering what you paid for.
My package arrived to the U.S. quickly and in perfect condition. During the Christmas rush and this pandemic that speaks highly of Royal Mail.
I'm waiting my package 2 weeks ago, but they are late and I cannot contact them, because I was waiting for 2 hours on the phone, but they are not responding... They canny give me any information, nobody never know nothing, just to say sorry...
That's the 4th time when I want to use that service but they are ALWAYS late and really hard to contact them.
I not recommend. Please do not use.
As I'm working from 8AM to 5PM I can't take parcels when delivered, however for collection my post office depo is at Manchester, M8 9AA waterloo road and they working hours is Monday to Friday is 8 to 12, how the hell I can collect my parcels if I'm working person? Royal mail services for unemployed and retired people only? Shame!
No matter how well I package my products and plaster them in fragile tape and stickers Royal Mail still manage to break them. I know how hard it is to break the items but they still manage it. They must kick and throw the boxes around. And of course their insurance covers nothing.
Still coming up with"due to covid emergency, parcels are delayed"
Stop using this excuse, and admit you're crap!
Answer: You can't get hold of the customer services at Royal Mail, it's as if they couldn't be bothered. There not a very reliable service they don't turn up when they are booked to deliver a parcel (redeliver) which is not good. I have found other companies with a much better service and a better attitude towards customers. Royal Mail is not a good company.
