Roomster Reviews Summary

The company, Roomster, exhibits a polarized reputation among its users. Positive feedback highlights the platform's user-friendly interface and a variety of affordable listings, with some customers successfully finding suitable rooms. However, significant concerns overshadow these strengths, including deceptive practices regarding message visibility, a lack of genuine leads, and inadequate customer support. Many users express frustration over payment models that feel exploitative, alongside reports of scams and unresponsive service. Overall, while some appreciate the platform's potential, the prevailing sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency and customer care to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

Yep, I too fell pray to their shady 3-day subscription business scam. Beware they don't have any problem taking a month's worth of subscription after agreeing to give you a '3-day subscription' despite the fact that you might have canceled your subscription after so rudely becoming aware of their practice. They suck, blow, etc. etc... Dont use them because they only care about trying to suck money out of people. There are better alternatives, one being craig's list.

This site is a money making scheme. Plain and Simple. No matter how good of a deal you post you will hardly get any responses because hardly anybody pays to find a room when they can do it for free elsewhere. They don't mention that when you sign up so you're stuck with the ad you paid to post which will get no responses. Then I had something really F'ed up happen where I had closed my account and THEY reactivated it and charged me 29.95 for a 30 day membership! Illegal for one and completely F'ed up! I wish everyone responsible for this to have mutated and crippled offspring.

Sleezy site with auto renewal burried in the terms of use and elsewhere at the bottom of the page. This site was obviously built to scam people out of their hard earned money with this dispicable auto renewal scheme. When you contact them to say you did not authorize auto renewal, they send screen shots of their scam. Before that when you go to cancel, the screen notifies you that you agreeded to their terms of use and that once charged, you cannot get a refund.

Pure SLEEZE.

I had a horrible experience! I had many men sexually harassing me via emails and phone calls. I had one man being really unkind and mean. I had one lady who never showed up on the day she was supposed to move in. In my experience, the caliber of people using this service is very disturbing and creepy. I have removed my profile and will not use this service anymore and would not recommend it to anyone I know. I contacted roomster about it and they responded by arguing with me through a series of emails. Stay away from this site.

Just awful

Just awful. Total scam. They charge you for something you did not agree to... oh they make it sure seem like you agreed - but you know and they know that you most certainly did not agree to a monthly subscription when you signed up for a trial subscription.

They have terms of 'agreement' -- but the real intent is not to inform the potential customer BUT to trick people into thinking that Roomster is actually a reputable outfit.

IT IS NOT REPUTABLE.
