The company, Roomster, exhibits a polarized reputation among its users. Positive feedback highlights the platform's user-friendly interface and a variety of affordable listings, with some customers successfully finding suitable rooms. However, significant concerns overshadow these strengths, including deceptive practices regarding message visibility, a lack of genuine leads, and inadequate customer support. Many users express frustration over payment models that feel exploitative, alongside reports of scams and unresponsive service. Overall, while some appreciate the platform's potential, the prevailing sentiment suggests a need for improved transparency and customer care to enhance user trust and satisfaction.

Awesome app very great app easy navigating also! ;)
Have to pay just to read messages, even though you can send them is a shady way to do business
Price to message should have been disclosed before messaging
You have to pay to read your messages, that's a pretty garbage way to money grab. Other sites simply require a subscription, and give you limited messages. At that point you would need to upgrade your subscription, but not the first day like it is here.
You don't seem to scream these people very well. I've had contacts and people that never respond.
People who are in need of place to live with limited resources are often under an extreme amount of the rest in your life at that point in time.
I happen to be one of them. So when it comes down to the fact that I reach out the website that this looking for response and a safe place to live, I have found your system lacking in providing decent communication with the people who make these postings. And several of them have been complete frauds.
I think having people to pay to receive messages is really $#*!ty! Especially when you make them believe they received a message
It's a great service I think it should have move-in dates to know when people would like to move they should have to input it in the system so that we know
I haven't found a place yet. I haven't found a place yet.

It's a clunky interface, no info on down-payment required as an entry field on listings. Can't msg anyone without subscribing to an AUTO renewal. And it's a monthly renewal by default no matter what you sign up for. Cash grab right off the bat. Value doesn't seem to match cost
I WAS SCAMED the first time around. Coming back cause i am desperate. Have been in London for 7 days without a house because of this scam. You blocked the person that scammed me but didn not think about informing me so I continued with the transactions not only loosing a significant ammount of money but also thinking I had a house.
I haven't got any responses yet but it looks good so far
Not enough information on people looking to rent. Roommates.com is better at this as it asks specific questions that helps match up to more compatible roommates.
With the megaphone feature it is difficult to see if the person is interested in my area.
It's ridiculous you have to pay a subscription to see messages regarding roommate situations. A total money scam to feed off people in desperate need of housing.
It's nice that I can view availability and received messages.
The pricing is absurd, I can send a message with a free account but cannot see the replies until I pay for it. It's pretty pathetic tbh.
Don't like having to cancel when I only signed up for 7 x days.
Cannot see the benefit of this platform compared to a free platform like craigslist for example.
The app is different from the site especially with subscription options why?
What a con that you force people looking for a basic necessity as A ROOF OVER THEIR HEAD to pay for messaging, something that should be a given. Shame on you.

Answer: These are untrue statements. We have asked our many satisfied customers to post their positive experiences about Roomster to counteract the negative, and mostly untrue statements posted about us. If you notice that Sitejabber has negative reviews of almost every company doing business in the united states. If it was all true, there would be no business left and everyone would be out of work. People never write good reviews, people love to be negative. Its sad.
Answer: Hi Aminah, Roomster did not post that ad on Craigslist, we did not create that link and there fore we can not offer support for it. This looks to be one of our affiliates, who should not be doing this. We will be removing this person from our affiliate program. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
Answer: That makes little to no sense. Undeleted? What does that even mean? N you want to create an account after you deleted it? Go ahead.
