Good luck getting a refund for a part you order from their site. They sell parts to cars that don't even have said parts. Example 2010 focus they say it has a cabin air filter and it 100% does not. Then they want you to pay for shipping.
My order was sent by FedEx and the shipper delivered it several days late, and to the wrong house - RockAuto now says I have to wait 3 business days before they will even think about doing anything about it - no pressure from them on the shipper (who is their vendor and should respond better than when I call and get some helpless Indian guy on the phone) and no credit for the parts. Now my vehicle sits for a second week without the parts I need because they have no phone number whatsoever and only use email to communicate. My advice is that unless you do not need your car parts any day this calendar year DO NOT ORDER FROM ROCKAUTO.COM
Top notch co. Very helpful no bull**** like carid rockauto were out of part. Emailed wen part came in purchase went smooth after that
Ordered a replacement part for my front bumper. Piece that came looked different, but will try it. Took bumper off, replacement piece did not fit. Contacted customer service (e-mail only, by the way...) and sent them pictures of the differences and explained why piece would not fit. Customer service said they see no issues and would refund but would not pay return shipping because they see no issue. Have reached back out multiple times and have gotten no response. I'll walk before I do any more business with this place.
No returns after 30 days. Stay away from these guys the parts don't fit and they want take them back. This is my second time dealing with these guys I am done. They want you to give them a credit card so they can charge you to speak with what they call technical support. I'm not buying a computer and why should you have to give a credit card to talk with someone? These people are scammers.
I order a part for my suv and it took 6 days to get here and they charge me 15 dollars via fedex how is that possible when usps charge less and i get my parts is 3 or 4 days thats why i will not buy from theme for now and i hope the part fits
HORRIBLE customer service. They have no phone number so you can't actually talk to anyone so everything is done via email. We ordered a set of shocks for a Jeep. The parts arrived with bent coils and the rubber gasket at the top was misaligned. We followed their return requirements by informing them of the defect, took everything to the FedEx store and returned it all in the original packaging. We received a response a few days later that indicated there was nothing wrong with the parts so they were unable to issue a refund. They stated that if we paid for the parts to be returned to us, we could have them back, otherwise, they would dispose of them within 5 business days. Why would they dispose of parts that aren't defective? When we argued this point, they responded and said that the boxes were damaged when we shipped them back and the original boxes weren't returned to them. We showed them pictures of what we sent back which was all of the original packaging. They then said that there was too much tape on the boxes we returned so they couldn't reuse them. When we tried to respond again, the email was blocked stating that our order number had been closed and no further correspondence was allowed. SERIOUSLY? We will NEVER be using Rock Auto again. Buyer beware!
I ordered a bushing kit because their description said it included all of the parts I needed. They admitted it was their mistake and refunded the cost of the parts and tax but only returned 50 cents for the shipping. Because they want to charge me a rediculous amount for their slow shipping it is cheaper to buy the correct part locally. If not for their false advertising I would have ordered the more expensive part that did have all of the parts I needed and wouldn't be expected to pay so much more in shipping. Their customer service agents are stupid and useless with no sense of right or wrong. Because of their false advertising and crappy customer service this first time customer is now a last time customer.
I have been ordering parts for my 1994 Jeep Wrangler for months and then decided to order an A/c Kit and shocks. WELL Rockauto decided to snd me the wrong parts they sent me shocks and A/c parts for a 2004 Jeep Wrangler! The after emailing the clowns they told me to ship them back and I would have to pay the freight for the return for their mistake! DONT USE THESE CLOWNS REPORT THEM TO THE FTC.GOV and dispute the CC charge also!
I purchased a window regulator on 12/5/19. It has a 1 year warranty. I contacted Rockauto and they sent a replacement, although the replacement, although it was not an exact replacement I was able to install it. Even though the part was under warranty, I had to purchase a new one. The website says they will reimburse me for the part when they receive the broken one. But there are no instructions for returning it. No customer service. Should have bought from another store.
Dealing with a dealer online is not a good way to communicate. Customer service should be handled by phone sometimes. I had a problem with them concerning a package that was not received. The value was about 9. Dollars. They shut the door on my nose after they let me know indirectly I was a thief. That was not right. I received packages with values exceeding $200 and never denied or claimed anything. Come on! Who would play games for a $9 value? Communicating online made things complicated unnecessarily. Finally, I found the missing package waiting at the post office. Rock Auto sent me a message saying it was delivered before I actually picked it at the post office. I was confused. At my house there was no delivered package. The email was saying it was delivered. Rock Auto is a good supplier in terms of price and speed delivery but they should improve in terms of communication. Online should not be the only way.
Rock auto will not honor if they send you wrong part because they'll find some kind of way to put fault on you, this a very bull$#*! website.
Customer service is completely lacking. Received the wrong part twice, and they refused to accept the return, saying that they do not sell the brand that I received from them. Impossible to talk to an actual person, Will not be buying from them again. Too many other better options that actually have customer service.
Found parts we needed, but refuse to pay $45 for shipping. Bought elsewhere for much less shipping charge. Now I see these bad reviews and glad I did.

Order over 400.00 in parts re build front end of my 4x4 truck one part was defective didn't find out until I took to get a front end aliment now I have to take apart what I just replaced you can't talk to anyone and they don't really care about the bad part had to pay for new parts I will NEVER buy from rock auto ever again and would not recommend they to anybody period..
Received a radiator with that no radiator cap will fit without leaking, defective parts, no customer service AT ALL their tuff $#*! attitude lesson learned this radiator was never pressure tested no way. Rockauto and China are laughing at all of us $#*! YOU ROCKAUTO
Wrong part was sent to my shop in a dilapidated box, info and photo on the site for part was correct, but the part that was sent was totally wrong., went through the return/ explanation process on their site, paid to send it back to them, received email that part was not sent in the manufacturers packaging. The part was returned in the exact packaging I received.
As a shop owner of 23 years purchased A Catalatic converter from these guys after gettting it on could not get exhaust leak and kept coding p0420-p0430 which these clowns said thats hardly ever a converter in the end they wont take it back would not recommend ordering from these guys save yourself a headache.
You order parts they come in rusty after you paid twice the value of the part in the shipping cost to do the job and then they want you to send it back after 3 to 5 business days of them receiving it then they will give you a refund and then you can re-order your part worst company I have ever dealt with do not do business with them
