Shipper On Drugs

Received my package today. Got 4 bottles of Wash-R Emulsion. Ordered 2 ball joints for my firebird. No packing slip in a RockAuto box. Impossible to return as I have to ship across the border. Thinking of posting to youtube just to show how incompetent some people are. Picture of what I received. I would leave zero stars if I could.

Lack of customer service

I ordered a purge valve on 15 nov 2020 with an arrival date of 20 nov 2020. The part arrived on 7 dec 2020. Almost 3 weeks late. I had to buy the part at Advance Auto. Now they want to charge me to return the part that is almost 3 weeks late. They have no customer support to contact. I have ordered from them in the past, but the true test is how they handle problems. I will not be ordering anything else from Rock Auto.

Part Returned- No refund

Beware of companies with no phone number. Wrong part received, item was returned via UPS, verified that the returned item was received at their location, and 3 months later we still have no credit. After 3 emails, you receive an automated email message saying your Ticket is closed.

Oem so they claimed

Purchased an oem bumper from rock auto for my 2019 GMC Sierra pick up. There are no stamps after receiving the product to make it oem and the bumper is off 1/2 inch when mocked up for install. There return policy is worthless so I am stuck with this bumper. They may have low prices, but like the old saying goes, "you get what you pay for" This experience has changed my mind with using them for any further purchases.
SHOULD HAVE CHECKED REVIEWS PRIOR TO ORDERING.

Stole my money

I ordered a part for my car, which was the wrong part. They emailed me a form to attached to the package, which I had to pay for postage. 45 days later I wonder whereymy refund is and was informed I had to go back to the website to enter the tracking number, because if I didn't somehow it would get lost in there warehouse... because the postal service does this type of thing all the time... lose packages with the address post bold with a barcode rockauto requests you add to the package. Seems they just don't want to give me my 50 bucks back.

Might as well pay the price of the store that maybe be close to double but hey at least you'll get what you need and not get $#*!ed around.

Worst ever!

Buyer beware before using RockAuto for the following reasons: Their website is a nightmare to navigate and is not accurate, I was able to order and receive the wrong parts for my vehicle even when it was listed accurately. It is also a nightmare to cancel orders and won't let you cancel items after cancelling one item. They also charge random and different shipping charges for the same item on separate orders. You need to know the exact part numbers before ordering to not order wrong. If you do order parts in error or receive them, there is no customer service whatsoever, no chat, phone, or email, just the electronic web site. No one to fix things or complain to. The customer pays for shipping both directions even on parts incorrectly listed on their horrible site. Do not use them!

For what they are and what they do, they are mediocre at best. Understand that they are not even knowledgeable about what they sell, they just sell stuff. The parts I have gotten have always been the correct parts, but I do my due diligence to cross-reference part numbers via many different sites. I do this not only for part fit, but for pricing also. Some times I have gotten parts that were obviously returned products from big chain stores due to defects (Broken brake bleeder in a brake caliper twice. Broken studs or missing nuts, etc... nothing that couldn't be repaired easily enough), Sometimes they may need some tweeking, shaving, or adjustment to fit right (body panels, interior switches, cosmetic things). All of this is the same thing I find with Amazon, Carparts.com, partsgeek.com, etc... So nothing astonishing. The Customer service is the main reason I will not shop there, and have not for the past 4 years. You cannot get in touch with anyone, and the customer doesn't matter. Except for Amazon, and very few other places similar to RA, you will pay shipping to return these things. Most times, you will be better off using them as a conversation piece to warn others of dealing with them. I have that wall of shame. Most of the parts have worked well and have lasted just as long as paying over double the price locally. Use cautiously and do your own homework to verify the proper part numbers, RA is not the only place selling these brands. They only sell things, they know nothing about car parts whatsoever! And that would be why they will not talk to anyone that does.

Horrible Customer Service

I had placed an order prematurely with RockAuto. I tried to call and cancel the order but the phone # you call says they do not handle consumer issues over the phone. It is strictly handled online only.

So I email them@ the email on the site and no one gets back to you for close to a week. Then its the run around non stop with excuses like the order has already been shipped and that I can submit and RMA after I receive the parts.

The good pricing does not justify the horrible customer service...

I'll pay double and shop at autozone or napa

We purchased a rebuild alternator from RockAuto it went bad in 15 days. Had to buy another wait for refund (hope it comes) and paid another 218.50 to the mechanic for the second R&R. DO NOT BUY REBUILDS from Rock Auto

First time ordering from RockAuto in I regret it, Only good things is the parts were right and came VERY fast. Bad Things: No customer service and Return Policy. I Ordered 1 struts and they charged my debit card for a 2 more struts and shipped it to me. So because they messed my order up and had money taken from my card, i had to pay for the label from FedEx to return the other 2 struts and it has been a week in still haven't received my refund. I'll never recommend this service.

First - Rock Auto will never answer a phone call or an email. So you better know exactly what you need. I ordered a set of new head lamp assemblies. Rock Auto was not my least expensive option by a long ways. The head lamp assembly was to have arrived five days ago. When they finally arrived, one had a broken mountaining bracket that could not be replaced. I had to pay to send the other one from the set back. Yes, even though they were sold as a kit. Rock auto also blocked all tracking of my package and put so many restrictions on FedEx that when the delay became evident (as in the package did not show up) I was unable to redirect the package. But bottom line, the quality of the head lamps were bottom of the line. The weight of them, compared to my OEM was about half. THey also came with no bulbs. WTF. I've replaced headlamp assemblies in a Toyota Highlander and Subaru Outback. I had no idea such poor quality headlamps were even manufactured. These cost twice what the Toyota and the Subaru assemblies cost. Again repeat - you will get zero help from Rock Auto, the products are poor quality and you best be very patient and be willing to pay to ship back their errors.

I purchased 2 front wheel bearings for a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, unpon arrival and instalation it was discovered that the bolt lug pattern doesn't match OEM rotor hat or Wheel bolt pattern. Went to website to start return process, since grease was put on one of the two wheel bearings they refuse to accept the return of one bearing at the cost of $80 plus dollars. That is some horrible customer service and support. It was Rock Auto and the manufacturer who made the part who did wrong. I will never shop here again.

Return Policy BAD

My husband has been buying from RickAuto for years and never sent anything back! He bought hood Pistons for our car and before he bought asked if they would fit and was told by them Yes they would fit! When he received them, they were made backwards! He sent them back and they said he had tp print FedEx label and this amount plus the shipping would be not be refunded! He sent them pictures of wrong piston and e-mail stating it would fit! Finally he had put his Cedit Card in contest, it worked! I wouldn't mind but every time he bought a part with a hose the hose never fit and he never said anything, just went to Auto Store and bought hose! Never will order again knowing their return policy!

Bad Customer Service

Rock Auto Has Very Bad Customer Service. Can Not get anyone on Phone if you had a problem. They sent me wrong parts took them over 5 hours to get back with me over email. Very hard to get a hold of anyone Had to send all parts back Never open them and Charge me $38,00

I am restoring a 1966 t bird, and ordered a whole bunch of parts in advance. I fiinaly got around to the master cylinder and it was wrong! Checked website and it was supposed to be correct. Looked at other options for the same part and by pictures for the same year same car i could find the correct one. BUT cannort talk to no one, and because over 30 days they will not exchange it.! AVOID THESE PEOPLE. SELL YOU THE WRONG PART AND STICK YOU WITH IT! NEVER AGAIN.

I have been a Rock Auto customer quite a long. It offers many brand name and after market parts. I mostly received parts that fit; However, STAY AWAY from buying parts that are marked wholesale with attractive low prices. I purchased twice. Both order had either defective or wrong part #.

Customer service sucks

If you want customer service don't buy from here. I have been waiting 4 extra days for delivery on parts from their delivery choices and claim they cannot find my location but others deliver all the time. I am done with losing money with them. Not help other than email from someone I can't talk to. I'd rather pay little more when I can talk to someone. They claim cheaper prices cause of this but look at all the reviews it tells u something. Wish I would have looked sooner. My bad on my part.
