Send wrong part

These guys sent me wrong part and had to go to autozone to get right part. Then had to pay for shipping costs to send back which is almost as much as the part itself. This company will waste your time and will make you run in circles to fix a problem they created and make you pay for it.

I have ordered a lot over the past veiw months. All of the $#*! that they sent either didnt work or barly worked. I ordered a sensor for my neon complete garbage! Made my car worse! Went to the junk yard and got one for 50$ cheeper and fixed my problem! Now they wont even work with me cause there saying that I owe money when i don't. I bought a car off someone else and i didnt know they had outstanding payments! Like come on! Now they wont even let me order parts cause they expect me to pay this other guys debt! I'm never ordering from them again! $#*! rockauto!

I looked at my online bank statement and found that a charge had been made to Rock Auto that neither my husband or I had made. It had happened so recently that the charge had not fully cleared the account. I called the bank to get a hold placed on our debit card and was advised to contact Rock Auto to ask them to stop the charge, as it was not yet through my account. There is no phone number for customer service so I had to go through a process of emailing them. While they were prompt in emailing me back, the customer service representative was not helpful. Connor, the emailer, wrote: "Thank you for the information. I have notified our credit department of the fraudulent transaction. Please inform your bank (if you haven't already done so) that you do not recognize this charge. This should be the only information they need to assist you further. We're sorry that there is no further action we can take at this time, your bank will have to resolve this for you. We apologize again for the inconvenience." No explanation as to why he couldn't stop the theft of our funds. Of course we went ahead with our bank to retrieve the funds. I do not recommend this company.

Horrible customer service

Paid for express shipping but did not receive item until three days later. Have requested refund just for the difference between standard and express shipping - around $8.00. This company can only be communicated with through a service email account. There is no opportunity to speak with a human being as my requests for return phone calls are ignored. This might seem like a minor amount to some, but it is poor business and just think about the impact to their bottom line if they scam $8.00 from every transaction. Additionally, if they will cheat you out of $8.00, they will cheat you out of hundreds of dollars just as quickly. Your money is better spent with an online retailer with actual contact options with human beings or with tradition brick and mortar retailers.

Saab drive axle
February 2, 2021

Ordered front drive axle for 2001 Saab 93. Axle worked fine however axle nut did not. I had to reuse stock nut, although it was not recommended as it's an interference nut. I tried several times to return or exchange, get credit for nut no success. Customer service is nonexistent at Rock Auto, buyer beware.

Bad customer service

So I ordered the parts for my vehicle exactly as their website describes them when I get my parts the part number on the box is right but the parts are completely wrong according to the description and their website it describes the right part but the box has a totally wrong part rock auto will not refund my money without me paying to have them shipped back I don't believe I should pay for any of it is their fault not mine i've tried to get a hold of someone several times to correct this I'm not having any luck

Horrible service

I ordered an alternator, belt and belt tensioner on Monday January 25th. All parts shipping out of Fresno California, going to Salem Oregon. Shipping calculator said Thursday the 28th as arrival date, makes sense. Now it is Saturday the 30th and tracking shows my parts In Minnesota! WTF! I was supposed to have my car fixed to go to work Monday morning, not going to happen! Do not order from them, no way to legitimately contact anyone with questions. I should have used Amazon, actually would have been less money and my car would have been fixed several days ago!

Return headache

I ordered over $1,500 in parts for my 04 thunderbird, most came right but the few that didn't I'm finding trying to return them is more trouble then what the parts are worth to me, first you have to be a genius to understand trying to return more then one item with one shipping label so that you don't have to do the same crazy thing in my case about 5 different parts, then you have to answer numerous questions as if I decided I don't have enough crap in my life, you must go somewhere to have the label printed and that's where it ends for me, I'm not going to a place to have something printed out, pay a fee then go to another place and finally male them, this is just absolutely insane not being able to talk to anyone, I will not order anymore parts from rock auto, yeah the parts are decent and cheap but it's not cheap anymore when it's going to cost you a ton of time to return them and then wait for new wrong parts the second time! So yeah enough.

"Punk" Rockauto

I mean no offense to punk rock. But what a bunch of punks at rock auto! Everything‘s fine as long as you don't have a question for them or a problem with your shipment. I had no idea when I first did business with rock auto that there was no customer service department no way to get in touch with them whatsoever everything is completely operated by computer! I did not receive a portion of my shipment on January 20. The last scan by FedEx of that package was on January 16. When I contacted FedEx who by the way was very helpful. They informed me they had lost the package. And to contact rock auto and ask them to re-ship my merchandise. With a claim number in hand from FedEx there was no way to convey it to rock auto. It is now January 28.12 days since my package was last scanned in Marietta Georgia. And what's rock auto got for me? They want me to wait till February 1 before I can even ask them to please re-ship the merchandise that I've already paid for! Horrible job rock auto! You just lost a customer!

Wrong Size Part.

Ordered a simple rebuild kit for brake calpiler, and the seals don't fit my car. There is
no phone number to call, and they want me to pay return postage. Never will I buy from Rock Auto or recommend this online company. MJC from Butler Pa.

While they got back to my email right away, totally not the service you expect when you pay so much money and TRY to return an unopen package of struts.
Un. Opened.
*Note: I was actually trying to exchange them for something less expensive! That's all.
Someone needs to look at their policies if they want return business!

On12/11 ordered grill guard for Chevy truck it arrived after dark, Carrier under time constraints does not allow for time to properly open and inspect large package like this. Took to shop for install was for ford. Returned got refund (good). Reordered, got correct one but damaged. Plus cost double for install labor b/c done twice. Picture shows damage. Do not want to have removed b/c of labor costs have already spent over $300 just for installation. Due to physical condition cannot install myself. Will be looking elsewhere for a new supplier in the future.

It is impossible to speak with a customer service representative as it doesn't exist. No phone, no email, no text, no nothing. I seems the computer runs the whole show. If the computer can't handle it, it doesn't get handled. I'll never do business with this poor excuse for a company again.

No customer service

Its not just bad customer service there is no customer service at all. I ordered a 600 dollar turbocharger and one of the hoses was torn when I received it. I tried contacting rockauto and they said they don't do customer service over the phone. I have never heard of a company that doesn't do customer service over the phone. How can you get an issue resolved if you can't contact them? Am I supposed to just return the part? Its incredibly heavy and shipping would be about 70 bucks. So I contacted the manufacturer and I'm waiting for them to call me back. Maybe they'll be able to help me. I just can not believe that rockauto doesn't have a customer service number. I will never do business with these people again.

RockAuto as a bad price list. I ordered 4 tubes for GMC and they sent me the wrong one. No reimbursement possible. GM as the same listing but a different part and RockAuto won't give me back my money!

Did ordered lift support hatch "trunk". Of course revived lift support for hood...
After several email with Rockauto support I was ask to provide following:

Your VIN
Your Original Equipment part number (the part number of the original parts you are replacing)
Images showing the difference between the parts you received and your original parts
What's the compressed and overall length of the supports being replaced?
What's the compressed and overall length of the received supports?

How company like this one staying in business and, sanding parts to empty warehouse, either will or not fit the vehicle?

Satisfied customers

We have 5 cars of different years in our family. And with them we have been buying parts for the last 5 years on a rockauto. And everything was always perfect. We are international clients and have received at least 50 parcels in the last 5 years. True, our last order was unsuccessful. Twice we got the wrong caliper. It's frustrating, but we got a full refund. I would recommend this store based on my experience. Olga Filippova.

I recently ordered a Spark Plug Coil for my Honda Civic.
I installed and within 2 hours of operating normally, it failed.
I went to Dealer in Edmonton and had a OEM put in and it cost me $200 all in.
I went to return the part to RockAuto, but you can't return ANYTHING without the original packaging!
WHO keeps the original packaging.
Frustrating and unfair.
