Ordered 300 $ part and when it arrived I checked the box number it was correct gave it to my mechanic told him it was this part and when he went to install it that week he said it was the right box but not the correct part when I went to return the part the system said they wouldn't fix the issue

Recieved used parts!

No doubt both parts had been installed, removed put back in box and returned to rock auto. They didn't do
There job inspecting the returned parts and now I have them. They are not even a Dorman part. If I return them
And they do their job they will reject them as used. Now out return shipping and no parts. Then one could say
Return under warranty as defective, both went bad, no, must have original boxes and mfg papers to return. I am an auto technician and have ordered parts from rock auto parts for over 15 years off and on. This is my second time this has happened. No more this was my last order and the total order was over $400.00. And no more referrals! I am out over $175.00 for these two parts.

Never had issue with rock auto just stay away from parts geek they like sending broken parts. But rockauto I do recommend if you are into saving money buy from rock auto do your research make sure you are buying correct part because if you have to send it back probably will be a headache. Idk never had to.

Rockauto use to be my go to site but they've gone downhill in the past 6 years. Maybe if they offered shipping through UPS, they'll return to relevancy. Their main issue is their partnership with FedEx who's known for losing parts and not delivering on time. Also, invest in warehouses that stock parts and don't take 2 days to ship.

Received wrong part in the correct packaging. Poor customer service. No phone number, unhelpful responses & difficult return process which they also try to charge you the shipping back to them of the wrong part they sent. Abruptly closed my case following a comment still leaving the issue unresolved. Stay away!

Opened the box and it looks just like the picture. Plastic already cut loose. Bolt on top punctured a hole in the box because it was loose inside the box.

Out of a $156 order I received a refund of $4.31. Boxes weren't ever opened. Once we tore the car apart, we realized it was a different issue. I should have sold the parts on Ebay.

This was absolutely the worse online purchase I've ever made. The reason for this is not just that the 2 parts I ordered for my tundra were the wrong parts but that the return process was horrible and became. Nightmare in itself and a very expensive one.
To keep it simple I ordered a plastic bumper for a 2020 tundra along with a grill. When I entered my truck year, model, and trim it brought up the 2 parts and said guaranteed to fit. After receiving the parts when I went to install I realised very quickly they were the wrong parts as the grill was not fabricated to hold my T toyota acrylic badge on the front or the impact sensor that was to be housed behind it. The bumper cover which is basically the plastic part of the bumper on a newer tundra fit only in the clips if it was contorted and twisted and it was missing the vent grates on top leaving a big open view of the aluminum radiator. It was pure garbage that I paid exactly $454 dollars for including shipping which was $55 dollars of the out the door price. When I put in for a return on their ridiculous website they reluctantly approved my return and I figured out how to print the pre paid fedex labels off with instructions to drop the 2 boxes off at my local fedex office. The instructions also read that the price of shipping would come out of my refund which showed a refund of $384 so ok ill be out 70 dollars for their screw up but oh well. I sent the packages off at fedex and washed my hands of them and that entire situation I thought but this is where it gets really bad.
3 weeks later I received a bill from fedex for $1182 dollars. I thought it was some scam or a mistake but I called fedex directly to make sure and guess what? It was from my rockauto return! I emailed rockauto customer support and after a week received a response. They first Apologized and told me it was a mistake and not to worry about it. Then they emailed me days later and told me I failed to follow instructions on their return procedure. Wrong! I followed it to the letter and had already received a partial refund minus shipping charges. That combined with the garbage product they sent me id say this company has a profession of sending junk to people then screwing them on shipping costs to send it back to them with fedex. Shameful! Zero quality control or customer service. Its not wonder they don't have any numbers to call them and in reading many other reviews ots obvious they are trash. In one of the emails they explained to me they don't make returns feasible for customers so they can keep their prices low. Isn't that nice! So instead of charging appropriately they make themselves appear as if they hook up a good deal when all they really do is trick people into buying junk product and making it hard to return. Scumbags!

DONT BUY FROM THEM

So, RockAuto had me input my car make, model, and style so I trusted it would send me the correct parts I needed. I ordered front and rear break pads and rotors. It costed about $236. The rotors they sent me was way too big for my car. So I returned them and as I started the return process it said it would take away $35 of my refund to ship it back. I figured they would take something since I paid $50 for shipping but they sent me an email and only refunded me $150 back?! It's their fault I got the wrong parts but it's crazy they said they would've only take $35 out of refund and took pretty much half of it! Then you can't get ahold of anyone at all. I will never use them again or recommend them.

Horrible Company to Deal With!

First, I don't write reviews often, but I wanted people to understand how BAD this company is to deal with. I would give them 0 stars! I picked out brakes that from entering make, model, year and sub categories. I received the brakes and they did not fit. They charged me over 80.00 to ship them to me and then over $40.00 to return them. They would not refund the money due to fact it was only a 30 day return. I never show this. Further there is NO phone support and NO way to email them from the site. We figured out how to create a ticket and they answered them. I had to dispute the purchase with my credit card company for my refund. Horrible Horrible company to deal with! NEVER AGAIN! Buyer please beware!

Never again!

Never again! Ordered front and rear rotors and pads for my Jaguar F-type. Product arrived quickly. Repair Facility was back logged so they could not install them with in 30 days. Turns out Rock Auto sent the wrong parts. Neither front nor back rotors were big enough. Mind you, Rock Auto used my VIN# to find the correct parts, their listing was wrong. Because it was past 30 days Rock Auto tells you to pound sand. They have no customer service number to call, or even a link for appeal or to ask questions. So I am out over $750 due to their mistake.

BOTTOM LINE, PRICING IS GREAT, SHIPPING QUICK. I WOULD SAY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS POOR, BUT IT'S ACTUALLY NONEXISTENT! THEY HAVE LITERALLY STOLEN MONEY FROM ME.

Mislabeled boxes

I needed a motor for my Ford f-150 running board (passenger side). I order through Rock Auto and brought my truck to the repair shop. They informed me that the motor sent was for the drivers side. Chose to keep it because that side was also going to be changed. I reordered and brought it to be fixed again I was informed that the drivers side was sent. Upon closer inspection you could see a label with the correct part number was placed over the sticker for the the part number that was actually in the box and etched on the part. Now waiting for a refund. I will never trust this company again.

I made a keystroke error while typing in my delivery address. The order came in from two different locations. One carried by UPS the other by FEDEX. FEDEX would not allow me to pick up the parcel where USP did. This Rock Auto had already made the decision without my involvement to ship back the parcel carried by FEDEX instead of calling me. When I confronted them about why, they lied that they have a policy that disallows the customer to positively ID themselves at the delivery station. If I wrong about that then UPS didn't actually deliver their end of the order. But they did. So its a lie. It's nonsense that one shipper can hold up their end where another cannot simply because of a typo. A single digit in an address is only one part of the identification? There is my name, my phone number, which of course they didn't bother trying. And of course the credit card that it was purchased with which I hold. Any of which could be used to allow the customer to pick up to package negating the fear of fraud. Instead of hearing me out the jerk closed the ticket without my consent. I am so pissed off about this stupid bull$#*!. Third time this year between the $#*!s of rock auto and the idiots at FEDEX. Sure this time it was my keystroke error. But what about the other times. And my error could easily have been fixed at source in Burlington if they had made any effort to involve me like the intelligent people at UPS did. Ridiculous, wasteful, moronic automatons.

Ripped off

Order never arrived stating address format not correct, it was. Offered no refund and treated rudely by so called customer service advisers, not my fault but now my problem. Tried emailing them and they blocked my emails! The worst place I've ever had the misfortune to deal with, they just do not care!

Ordered a left and a right cv axle only received one. All I got from rock auto was the run around and we're sorry sorry didn't fix my car. Took the cv axle back to local fed ex told them they could send it back to their partners at rock auto. Walked out and left the axle on the counter $90 lesson learned.spend the extra money and get your parts at a real store where they know what their doing.

Do Not Use RockAuto

I purchased a set of front brakes for my BMW. Two of the brake pads were faulty, instead of simply replacing the pads they charged me 50% of the cost to ship them ($8) and I had to pay for the shipping to return them ($17). It cost me $25 to replace a $75 item. They are horrible!

Terrible customer service

They sent me an incomplete auto part with a different brand that i did not order and came in a dirty greasy box that looked like a used or return item. Returned the item to them and they and gave me just a partial refund when its all their fault. I think this is how they make money by partial refund and keep the rest althought its all their fault! Will tell all my friends not to order from this co.
