If they mail u the correct part that is not broken they are fine. If they mail u a defective part or the wrong part kiss your money good bye bec no customer service to get the issue corrected! I received a broken tail light that I paid for, I sent it back UPS, paid for shipping & never heard from Rock Auto again, lost over 100$.

Spark plug purchased

I purchased damaged spark plugs from rockauto, I asked them to replace by sending email and pictures they refused. I gave them 2 weeks to respond. Once I got my credit card company involved, at that point they said I owe them money for damaged goods, when they refused to replace damaged parts. I will never order from them again.

I was in need of a part last week so I looked at rockauto and ordered it, paying $35 extra for next day delivery. I finally received it 4 days later. I tried to cancel the order before it shipped late Friday afternoon but rockauto would not let me saying that it had already shipped. When I complained to rockauto they told me this "We're sorry, but we can not cancel and order once it has been shipped.
We apologize for any confusion with your order. According to the carrier's tracking, your shipment is on time. You may have misunderstood the shipping time to include weekend days. Weekends and holidays are not included in the shipping count (since they are not business days).

In the future, please make sure the expected delivery date on the Check Out page matches your expectations of when you'd like to receive your order. For further information, please see:... " I will never ever order a part from them again.

I'm a long time Rock Auto customer, but I'm done. I ordered an ignition coil (along with some other parts) just to have a spare on hand during a spark plug change. I planned on keeping the part if I didn't need it because my vehicle has high mileage and you never know when you might need one! (I am military overseas without easy access to US-spec parts.) I didn't need one during the repair, but I noticed that the coil shipped by Rock Auto didn't look very much like the coils I pulled off my vehicle during the spark plug change. I ordered a Motorcraft DG-520, but Rock Auto shipped a DG-508. Unfortunately, Rock Auto has a 30-day return window, and I didn't notice until a few days past that. Almost $50 bucks down the drain! Buyer beware, if you don't treat your Rock Auto order with the excitement of nine-year-old receiving his first BB gun, you're probably screwed! There are other parts in the order that I'd like to return in this order and a couple of others, too, but in those cases, at least Rock Auto shipped the correct item (I hope). Rock Auto, if you want my business, update your return policy to at least 90 days and advertise it well!

Manufactured wrong

The rear upper control arm visually looks the same. But the holes are misaligned and cannot be altered. I had to wait over a month for the mechanic, and now they won't give me a refund. I'm stuck with two expensive pieces of junk. The return shipping is almost as much a the part. I've spent a lot of money there. I won't use them again. Buy local.

Stay away from rockauto

Robbed me of $800+ ordered a full set of brakes/rotors for my range rover. All i received was the $20 brake sensors. Customer service took over a week to respond after i continuously sent emails.

I purchased all three catalytic converters for my 2015 Chevy Traverse, They have been on for 130 days, the Bank 2, catalytic converters has failed already, no refund just replace with same part. If the one went bad it's just a matter of time for the other two, want a refund so can buy different parts. They said would only replace with same part. I will never buy anything from Rock Auto again. Bad customer service, and they don't stand buy what they sell.

CSF radiator defect

I purchase a CSF radiator with a 2 YEAR warranty and it lasted a year and 11 months. I had to purchase another one at $240 send back the defective radiator. I was issued a refund. The replacement CSF radiator I received lasted 4 months and starting leaking from the same spot. I contacted Rockauto and they said they couldn't do anything for me since the radiator was no longer in warranty. The radiator is obviously a manufacturers defect. DONT USE ROCKAUTO!

Replaced front and rear rotors and pads on 04 Lincoln Navigator

Pros: Great price, easy install, arrived in under a week. Oreilly wanted over $200 just for (2) rotors.
Cons: Shipping cost a little high because weight of four.

As stated above I have been buying from Rockauto for 5 years. Some products do have a lifetime warranty which i have used the warranty 2 times on some parts.
About a week ago I purchased 2 rear rotors and rear brake pads. The rotors came in scratched, paint missing and with grooves on the disc itself. I emailed customer service to ask for a prepaid shipping label and I received a reply back saying that I have been having problems 27.3% of the items ordered.
I asked in the email to talk to a manager which then another agent said the previous email is correct.

I have some defective parts come in which I have returned & also warrantied some items like i said I have purchased things from them over the last 5 years.
I wasn't expecting the service to get this bad. I was hoping to get a prepaid shipping label to return the product since it came defective which isnt my fault.

If a product has a lifetime warranty, or even a 1 year warranty and something happens that it becomes defective are we not supposed to warranty it?

I needed a part desperately and was referred to the site, found said part, ordered and paid for overnight shipping. A $5 part with almost $40 shipping to assure I would miss no more work, part never came until THREE DAYS LATER. There's zero human contact for customer service and the site says oh sorry you paid for expedited shipping but you can't be refunded, considering keeping the part or pay to have it returned. Terrible business practice. I don't recommend.

I Ordered tierod ends for my truck! This garbage website Sent me the wrong size! Trying to figure out how to return them is a chore! No call center and no one to help me explain why they don't fit the truck! I'll Never order from this place again, I used expedited shipping too there's another $100 I'll never get back plus they make you pay to return all their garbage parts to multiple warehouses! Skip this place at all costs! Photo shows the wrong "larger" part vs the correct "smaller part bought someplace else!

Purchased a spider injector assembly for my 96 yukon and 2 weeks later it developed a fuel leak rendering it useless. 360 Dollard.
Rock auto does not accept any returns without original packaging, which is ludicrous considering the part cannot be resold.
You can take any lifetime warranty part into any parts store in any condition any walk out with a brand new part but not with rock auto, AND it says nowhere that this is their policy on their website until you go to return something whether it be defective, a warranty issue, or just the wrong part.
There is no reason for having this policy considering they can just use the packaging from a new part they are replacing your defective part with and send it back to the manufacturer pr whatever they do with them, parts have part numbers on them and you have a receipt for its purchase from them.
So in the future keep all your packaging for the rest of your vehicles life if you ever want to use its warranty.
I'll never use rock auto again for anything and I suggest you don't either.
360 dollars down the drain.

You can not email, chat, or phone anyone at RockAuto. If you have any problems outside of the narrow options in their return/warranty process there is no way to contact anyone for help.

They sent me the wrong part in the right box. Their website says when its scanned in to be returned the right part will be sent out... wrong. Ive been waiting a week for the correct part to show up after i sent my return. I reached out to customer service and the amount of attitude i received from them is out of this world. How are you going to give attitude for your mistake? Get parts from literally anyone else.

I'm an experienced mechanic who's been maintaining everything from VW to Lamborghini for 20+ years. I've ordered from RockAuto regularly with small issues, but this was the first time I've had to contact Customer "Service". What a joke that is.

This one began like most others. I entered my cars information and ordered some brake calipers. No big deal. Got the parts, they looked good so I painted them up and got ready to install them. When I went to mock up the install I realized they were the wrong part. I contacted Customer "Service". They forced me to explain to them what was wrong with their own system using the manufacturer's catalogue. It turns out the supplier they used didn't even make parts for my car so Rock Auto's list was wrong from the get-go and it was no one's fault but their own. Because I had painted the parts and thought about installing them though, no warranty whatsoever was offered. I attempted to request a resolution, but they promptly said "no returns allowed if installation was attempted" and closed the service ticket and blocked all further conversation.

I'm left holding the bag for $250 of parts that they sold me because of their own system error. BUYER BEWARE! You're on the hook for their errors I guess. Even the ones they acknowledge. They take no accountability whatsoever for their mistakes. I guess if you're not triple checking it, you can't trust their system otherwise you too could be sitting on a bunch of useless parts.

Ordered a serpentine belt for a 2009 Toyota Prius, arrives. Look it up on several major auto sites including RockAuto to triple make sure it fits. Nope, does not. When I go back to RockAuto it now says it doesn't fit and doesn't show up when you look up a serpentine for that car. Only thing you can do is return and take a total loss with shipping having to pay it twice. Receipt also says no car specified, that's how I found it by entering an 09 Prius and typing in serpentine belt after that! Definitely never giving them my money again.
