I found my IDEAL shirt on the band's actual website, but their sizes only went up to a XL. Saddened by this, I SCOURED the internet and found Rockabilia.com. They had the shirt IN THE SIZE I WANTED! I didn't hesitate to place my order. Silly me, I read the reviews on another site, AFTER my purchase about nightmares others had receiving their items. Their website CLEARLY states the time frame of your order if it is in stock. I placed my order yesterday, 11/5 and received an email today, 11/6 stating the order was shipped and in transit! So, I call BS and wonder why I am so special in comparison to others they had a bad transaction!
I am not sure why so many people gave this site bad reviews, as my experience was went quite well. I used to order items from rockabilia around 10 years ago, when you would see their ads in metal maniacs, circus, and hit parader magazines. I was surprised to see they were still in business, and thanks to the internet, much easier to place an order. My recent purchase with them, I ordered 6 shirts, and it came out to $114.74 after I had an online coupon. Finding your shirts can prove to be a little difficult because you really need to type in the band your looking for, and then search through each band individually, it would be great if they had all the images pop up, as smaller icons, and you can scroll them like you do with their magazine ads. Anyways, their shirts are great material, and they have some rare shirts to offer, if your into black/death metal. My experience was pleasant, and I received my order within 2 weeks. No problems.
Don't rely on any of the information that the website provides. I'm exagerrating but to be brutally honest, they maybe have 90% of their items on backorder. The whole idea of the company is to have you place an order, wait for months to receive it (which you wont), call and complain (to their 10 year old customer service reps who don't get paid enough to give a crap), and be ripped off of your original shipping charge which won't be refunded. Through these small transactions of 8$, the company survives. The manager is never there. I have received their catalogues all throughout my high school years way back when and it's sad to see things turn out soo poorly for this company. Worse yet, they comment on online reviews with cocky remarks and insults. How is that going to help the company at all? Sad. Unprofessional. Need proof? Horrible site. They make their site look legit and clean, and more recently, they've changed the look of their site, and now all items have a "In Stock" or "On Order" status. They never used to have that. They also never respond to emails.
They charged my credit card for an item not in stock. The did not notify me. I emailed to check on it and received no response. I called, and received a curt reponse with no apology. I cancelled the order.
Everything Helen S. Said! Not much of a description of the type of print graphics, so you have to rely on the image alone. I had to return the one item that I did receive, because it didn't look the same as pictured, and the size was too big and odd fitting for a Small, yet this was the smallest size. So, their sizing chart doesn't help out much, but I know this all depends on the manufacturer.
There should be an availability status on the item page, because I had wait almost 2 months for a backordered item before I just had to cancel. I was charged for the backordered item too, yet never even got a status update or an estimated time frame. It would've been easier if the backorders were charged at the time of shipment. If you wanna take your chances, best to hit up customer service before about item availability.
Returns are hectic, and you never know when your refund is issued unless you call customer service or follow up with your bank. Their site claims, "There is a $5.00 restocking fee ($10.00 on men's and women's shoes) on all returned merchandise, unless a shipping mistake was made by us. This fee covers all processing, packaging and shipping charges for your return." Why do they even need a restocking fee if their shipping isn't free--cheapest shipping is $8--and the items aren't even sealed--just a folded shirt in a mail bag!? So, you have to pay for return shipping, aren't returned the $8 s/h fee, and lose an additional $5-$10. Now you just paid for the entire item with just these fees, and are left with nothing in hand--might as well have kept the item and sold it on eBay.
BOTTOM LINE--poor item descriptions, bad to non-existent customer service, returns are hectic, and the only online store that claims it's stocked with almost every rare or outdated item, but most are unavailable or even discontinued--but you'll be waiting for those discontinued items an eternity.
My biggest complaint about this seller is that it is impossible to tell what you are really getting in the product. There is a big difference between screen print T shirts and shirt stamped with something that feels like plastic. The latter is miserable to wear. Even if you call the person you get may have no way to know this infromation.
This Christmas this fact left me very disappointed with the main present I was getting my son. I ordered 4 shirts, carefully looking at size and availability. There was little other information available. We have ordered from the company in the past and never got the "plastic" shirts, so I was not worried about that. I was concerned about availability. When my order arrived after paying a very high shipping fee, two shirts were not in the shipment, even though they appeared to be in stock when orderd. The two shirts that came were unusable plastic print. All I was left with was 5 dollar restocking fee.
Answer: Other than calling or emailing, I'm really not sure. I can tell you this though... cancel that order asap, this company is the absolute WORST.
