They charged me for a room I had to cancel because I ended up having surgery. I called the hotel to cancel and reservations.com. They send me an email saying they would check into this further and nothing other than they charged fir the room and the bs 19.99 service charge. I will never use them again fans will make sure everyone I know hear how awful customer service they have. Do not use reservations.com you will be sorry!

Do not book from this site. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. Their prices are the same as direct booking with hotel. The "customer service" operators are rude and hard to understand. They keep your money, even if you call within 2 minutes of making the mistake of booking with them.
They pretend to be the hotel, charge more than hotel sites, and then when request refund lie, cheat and steal!
When I tried to cancel my reservation online (11 days prior arrival date), I had only 1 option to click on. And when I clicked, then it said that my reservation was no longer refundable since I clicked. Then I called, and they hung up each time. They are thieves.
Once I was put in touch with the Customer Support group they stayed in contact with me until my problem was solved. They were very professional and the resolution was in my favor despite me being responsible for the problem. I would recommend using this service to anyone.
Becareful when you book a reservation there is no mention that this was not in Canadian funds. Did not realize it until after the charge went through. They did cancel my reservation but they charge you a reservation fee of $25.00 which is not refundable. So what looked like a good deal in the end was not.
Stay away trust me they charged $77.75 in fees for a room at Holliday inn for one night that cost $192.75 thru holliday in. So basically 1/3 the cost in fees for one night stay and then to cancel the room was a nightmare to get money back. Guy on phone lied to me saying i couldn't cancel till 7 days before my arrival date. Which in small print says if you DONT cancel before 7 days of arrival they will charge you one night plus fees. Remember this is for one night stay i reserved, so i caught him in a lie and made them cancell it. Stay away please use ANYONE but them. Dirt bags if you want to cancel and cant get thru call this number and get your money back from scammers *******201 this is the direct cancelation #
These are just Burglars. I mistakenly booked at Hilton in Greenville NC instead of Hilton in Greenville SC. I didn't realize that I booked through this website. I called the hotel and explained what happened. The Hotel understood the matter and cancelled the reservation. However, this agency refusing to process my refund even after the hotel confirmed to them the cancellation. They sent me over 10 emails stating the billing department is reviewing the case.
I hope you don't make the same mistake I made. Always double check that you are making reservation on the website of the hotel.
I recently made a reservation for one night through reservation.com, I got the price through online with $61.05, but was charged $101.26 totally without getting any information before submitting. From confirmation email, found I was charged for $20.22 as Texas, $19.99 as service fee. I have tried to cancel it, but it's not refundable, can't get the money back.
I called the hotel front desk, with same room, I can get for $78 including tax.
This is overcharged, kind of cheating with the whole process, I will not do any booking thought reservation.com, also share that information to my friends.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They have no heart or soul and do not care about customer care. We reserved a room which we thought was through the hotel that we booked. As a result of our first grandchild dying during childbirth we did not feel it was appropriate to travel so we contacted the hotel and they canceled our reservation without issue. Reservations would not refund my $1,235.61. After contacting them they referred me to the accounting department who sent a letter stating there would be no further contact. They kept all my money without providing any service. They also discuise the site to make you think it is affiliated with the Hotel which they are not. Very deceptive. Do not use this company.
Every aspect of my experience with reservations.com has been terribly frustrating. When I arrived at my hotel the conditions were horrendous: holes in the ceiling, empty pool with things growing in it, no bathroom, and more. I called customer support to explain the situation, my desire to cancel my reservation because of the hotel conditions, and to receive a refund. I had to end my trip early and drive home because it. I have now spoken with over a half dozen customer support operators and I have been hung up on by most of them because they refuse to transfer my call to the billing department so I may speak directly to the person processing my request. I have bene calling back for over a week to finalize the refund for a hotel I never even stayed at. They have assured me on 4 separate occasions that I will receive an email within 24-48 hours with the refund information and it has never happened. I continue to call to hold them accountable, which shows there is no consideration customer satisfaction and no push for them to follow through with their customers. I will never use this website again and I feel scammed and disrespected by everyone affiliated with reservations.com that I have had contact with.
Do NOT BOOK THROUGH RESERVATIONS.com. Worst decision i have ever made. Hotel told me i could cancel one night and reschedule just for the other night. Was told my customer service I'd get a refund. Mf now telling me the hotel told them no! Bunch of scamming idiots! Call the hotel to book do not waste your time or money.
Customer service is rude. Company is completely misleading and engages in unethical business practices. Buyer beware, in addition to cancellations, "non-refundable" means you CANNOT MODIFY your reservations either, regardless of circumstances. They're MORE THAN HAPPY to rebook you and CHARGE YOU ALL OVER AGAIN. The hotels can't help you either, they refer you back to reservations.com. Unless you have unlimited money to spend, stay away from this site.
1. Deceiving: they make you believe you are dealing directly with the property and it isn't so.
2. Robbers: I had to cut my trip short because of an emergency. They agreed to refund me the two days I missed as long as the hotel did as well. The hotel in question agreed. Reservations.com did not refund me the two nights. Have been giving me the run around for 4 weeks.
Reservations.com lies and cheats its customers! I had a death in family, call on Thursday morning to cancel for one of the two night stays, Friday -Sunday was told everything would be find to do, but that was a lie has well. The hotel did understany my situation but reservations.com has sent me 15 email stating ( we are investigating on your request). I don't understand why any hotel would use this company as marketing or booking they are terrible. Run don't walk away from this company. They told me I'd get a refund. Took 3 days for them to answer the phone, then I could barely understand the customer service agent. Now they say they'll investigate, right, how long does it take I cancel the room I might as well kiss that money goodbye, no doubt that I'll never get my refund. Try to cancel June 3 here it is June 29th and there still investigating, but they will take your money the same day you call without any problem.
I cancelled ONE night of my 3 day stay BEFORE the deadline outlined in my reservation confirmation from reservations com, but they still insisted I be penalized for 1 night stay. So I cancelled entire reservation and they still penalized me $160. What a bunch of scammers. This is NOT a US based company. They are based out of Philippines. I called my bank and bank said I had to deal with them directly because transaction was already completed. I ended up calling hotel direct and not only was able to reserve my room without a hitch but got a better rate. I would not recommend using this online service. They will steal your money.
When making the reservation, I asked if I was talking to Silver Legacy (I hate how Google results can mislead if you are not VERY careful). He said yes. When I quoted the price to me, I asked if that included the $30/day resort fee. He confirmed it did. He did state there would be $19.99 non-refundable, so I was aware of that and okay based on info I had been told. However, AFTER he processed the reservation, THAT is when he said it was Reservations.com. Upset a bit about misrepresentation on that. Then when I was looking at the email, I see the statement about the $34.05/day resort fee would be due at the property. This meant I would now be paying MORE than I could have gotten through with the group discount with the hotel direct. They would not reimburse the $19.99 even though I would NOT have booked with them had their employee been upfront from the beginning.
Please notice if you are booking through the actual hotel of this reservations.com crap, I thought it was booking on the actual hotel and not I am charged in US dollars and paying way more that I would if I booked direct at the hotel. It is also non refundable so you can't get your money back even if you try to cancel a month in advance. I was in a hurry when I was trying to book and made a very pricy mistake
My experience is the same as others listed here. Reservations.com came up top of google search and I though they were the actual hotel. Of course they weren't, didn't reveal the real price until after I checked out, fully 50% higher than I anticipated. Five minutes later I called (cant cancel online of course, that would be too easy) I got a promise of a refund in 7-9 days, the delay because of my bank of course. And out the $20.00 processing fee on which they live. Now I will be even more careful checking every single link I get relative to hotels. Why google allows them to come up first and game the system is beyond me.
Answer: Call your credit card company and report it as an unauthorized charge. You may have to cancel your card and get a new card and card number, but it's worth it.

Answer: It can be, if its refundable reservation. Every reservations has a different cancelation policy. Mostly last minute reservations are not cancelable.
