SCAM!
September 14, 2022

Do not use this website, the website tricks you into thinking you are using the hotel site directly and giving you the best rate! When you book they do not add the resorts fees on, you have to pay them upon arriving at the hotel so they really are not the cheapest! Then they add their fee and that is non-refundable whether you cancel minutes or days after booking the reservation. I wonder how long the refund for my room will take to show up on my credit card, I will have to watch to make sure I even get it,
I ended up cancelling and eating the $19.99 fee and booked directly through the hotel, it was way cheaper in the end!

Do No Use!
September 14, 2022

This site is a scam! I was expecting my 2-night stay to cost $222 plus taxes and fees. It was more than $388. I called IMMEDIATELY and was told some mumbo-jumbo about the second night being $200+. When I asked to cancel, I was told that the cancellation fee was over $100 so I was forced to keep the reservation. Their published cancellation fee is $19.

Deceptive Web Site/Booking Policies
September 13, 2022

First offense - I'm embarrassed to say that I though their google-generated paid link was the hotel's direct link. The URL is set up to look like you are visiting the hotel's site.

Second offense - they do not advertise non-refundable rates clearly. I realized after booking that the rate I had already paid almost 2K for was "non-refundable". When I went back to investigate, I found it in the small print, after clicking a link under the fare. It is not even on the same page. Reputable hotels and booking sites do not try and trick the consumer. I asked for a refund and was denied.

Third offense - they were more expensive than the hotel site! Not surprising that they have to lure customers by deceptive means.

Won't be around for long, but annoying while they're here!

Avoid at al costs
September 12, 2022

Even though they advertise possibility of full cancellation, they will still charge you "a processing fee" if you cancel. Avoid reservation.com at all costs

I would give this company 0 stars if I could. I un-intentionally ended up reserving a hotel through Reservations.com when I thought I was using the actual hotel's website. The hotel informed me that this is a really easy mistake to make as companies like this, and Priceline, Travelocity, etc., do this when you Google search for a specific hotel. First mistake. Second, I accidentally reserved the hotel for a day early, needed it on the 10th and made the reservation for the 9th. I had passed the cancelation date and time when I caught my mistake, and assumed I'd be able to adjust the reservation for a day later. Nope. Reservations.com views modifications to a reservation to be the same as a cancellation. This is what they told me over and over again. I tried to resolve it, requested a refund because their policy doesn't say anything about modifications, only cancellations. They eventually said they would work to refund me if I could give them proof from the hotel that the hotel was willing the refund me the amount. They sent me the same script in an email requesting either a statement from the hotel saying they were willing to reimburse me. They also said, twice, that if I did not have a statement I could give a contact person whom they could call to verify the hotel was willing to reimburse the charge. They asked for this once, I gave it to them, to which the response was the same script, so I gave it to them again, to which they said the contact person was not enough. Anyway, the hotel agreed to the refund, and they even sent an email and went back and forth with customer service, but Reservations.com made it so hard on the hotel to make this happen that the hotel gave up and went ahead and gave me a reservation for the date that I needed and didn't charge me because I'd paid already for the previous day. Thank you La Quinta Inn and Suites in Butte MT for illustrating what real customer service looks like. And shame on Reservations.com. I will be double checking myself in future to make sure I never make this mistake again, and if given the choice, I will never use Reservations.com again. It's obvious you're only about the profit here, and not helping your customers.

Hide by using Reservations.com to act like a hotel website and pay your way to the top of Google Search, then charge $19.99 for reservations on a separate charge top of hotel rate advertised on the hotel site. Shame on me for clicking on the top line of a Google search, but weak a$$ way of doing business. Reservations.com adds ZERO value Will never use again and learned to look at URL and Google weak "ad" tiny logo. This type of advertising should be illegal, when searching by a named hotel in a search, the actual brand should show on top. For Example, search Hyatt Regency DFW, Hyatt's website should be on top. Search Hotel at DFW, then a slimeball web site like Reservations.com can pay their way for clicks. Lesson learned, hope it help someone learn too... Don't fricken trust the first Google search return

Ok so I specifically asked for a wheelchair accessible room I'm paraplegic paralyzed from the chest down so it was important to have that room I was told that they booked it but when I arrived at the hotel I was told they never asked for a wheelchair accessible room I couldn't even enter the bathroom and I was told there where nomore wheelchair accessible room so I had no choice and I stayed in the room but couldn't even go in the bathroom door and I called reservations.com customer service and they blamed me and told me that I shouldn't have stayed in the room and called them they just tried blaming me for staying in the room and I explained there were no other rooms and what was I supposed to do sleep in my car anyways they rip you off they also said one price then the gave me a way higher price at the end because of additional fees I'd recommend calling the hotels yourself $#*! reservations.com

I reserved through website mistakenly as it looked like I was going directly through hotel website. Event I was to attend got cancelled day prior to arrival. Reservation.com's policy is 5/6 days prior to arrival cancellation whereas hotel gives you 24-hours. The would NOT refund my monies so I lost over $500. I made the mistake once and NEVER will again. They are very misleading and you're better off reserving through actual hotel's websites as they will give better discount and cancellation policy. Also, use Amex card when possible as they are better at disputing these types of unreasonable charges. I would give them no rating if that were possible.

SCAM. SCAM. SCAM.
September 5, 2022

ZERO STARS is more appropriate than ONE. First, the website and URL is designed to appear as the hotel's reservation system, which it isn't. Second the rate shown is in US Dollars, though you can only find that out by scrolling to the very bottom where there is a dropdown in the fine print. Note that when i changed the selected rate on their site to CAD dollars (at the bottom) the rate showed up marked as CAD dollars, but the exchange was reversed (ie the rate for same room was 179 CAD - compared to 226 (no currency displayed) which was in US$.) Then the fun begins.

The cancellation policy notes you have until midnight of two days BEFORE you make your reservation to cancel.

I called to dispute the US dollar discrepancy within minutes of reserving and was told it was a non-cancellable transaction. They know EXACTLY what they are doing and should be Jailed.

Worst customer service.
September 3, 2022

Worst customer service and worst site to book from. I called within 12hrs to cancel my reservation and they couldn't cancel. All they could say was we do not cancel when the hotel allowed cancellation. Please stay away from this site. Its a con job site. Somebody should file a lawsuit against them. Supervisor Bill ID ******* was very rude and least helpful.

This company is a scam third-party booker. We NEVER BOOK NON-REFUNDABLE reservations because plans change. WE booked what was presented as a REFUNDABLE reservation for Nov 1-4 on July 24. When we went to change it on Aug 31. We were told it was NON-REFUNDABLE.
No one in this company will listen or help. The hotel acted like they were aware of this scam booker and said they always book with a ghost credit card so the hotel can't do anything about the reservation. So clearly they are not a reputable third-party booker. DON'T USE RESERVATIONS.COM THEY ARE A SCAM COMPANY.

A window pops up while I'm trying to make a reservation. Says it will provide the cheapest rate. It didn't. Not only that, I had to cancel the night before because the folks I was traveling with got covid. They refused to refund my money.
Despicable company. Don't be fooled by their empty promises

Awful.
August 31, 2022

This is absolutely the worst website I have ever booked through, I booked ONE room and this website charged and booked me for two rooms, after speaking to there awful and rude customer service representative she told me that nothing could be done and that I just must have clicked the confirm button twice which I absolutely did not do. They refused to refund me and after telling me nothing could be done they hung up on me. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted by this company and thier completely unprofessional service reps who don't care about anything. NEVER BOOK THROUGH THIS WEBSITE.

A bunch of crooks
August 29, 2022

I made a reservation for Holiday Inn, Lincoln NH through them mistakenly thinking it is the hotel web site. Deeply buried in the confirmation e-mail I noticed an extra charge of around $100. I immediately called them up and canceled the reservation. It was a cancellable reservation. They were very reluctant to do so. Tried to convince me not to do so. Finally after much insistence they cancelled it. But they still charged me $19.99 for service (!). They claimed it was mentioned in their web site. If it was, it was well hidden. It is a scam operation. Avoid them like the plague. A reputable hotel chain should not allow them to make reservation for them.

Would have given zero stars if possible. Booked 3 rooms 6 months ago. Travel plans required cancellation of 1 room. Was told entire reservation needed to be cancelled and would need to check availability at hotel to rebook. Interesting that it took the agent seconds to tell me there was no availability. This was even though I still had a reservation for 3 rooms. How does that work? Will not use reservations.com again.

Going rate for a 2 night stay at Hampton Inn in Nappanee was about $173.00 canadian. They were offering $166.00. Not a lot of difference, but $7.00 per night is something. The Canadian price would be $173.00 + 13% Taxes = $195.49 and a small booking fee. On the last page, where you confirm your payment, there was small print at the bottom of the page that all costs are in USD. They charged the room in USD, the charged the canadian taxes in USD, they charged the $19.99 service fee in USD. In the end the per night reservation was $296.39 per night. Almost a $100.00 per night difference. I called theie Customer Service line and they said that since it was within 5 days, the $19.99 USD cancellation not valid and it would be $219.00 USD (1 night stay) to cancel..

Somehow after booking a hotel through Expedia.com and then canceled my reservation. When my meeting was back on I signed in to Expedia to rebook. Yet somehow my reservation was booked through Reservations.com. When I called the actual Hotel directly they said it was reserved through the "Agoda" travel agency.
Summary: Booked on Expedia.com: Told by Hotel it was the Agoda travel agency:, And then I found out it was booked through Reservations.com. THEN When I called American express they gave me another company name that was billing me.
This is a real scam. AVOID.
